I have an error message from Windows Vista...

....and it just close Quick Time, it happens to me all the time, can anybody please help me?
I just answered this problem, so you arent the only one. As I said in the other post, I am only running XP Pro SP2...but I also had the same problem, and it just started recently. I fixed it by going into my Quicktime Preferences....and going to Advanced tab, and upping my Download cache to 300MB, and then clicking on Empty Cache. I also upped by Audio from 16bit to 24bit. Dunno which really fixed it, but those were the 2 things I changed, and it works no problem now.

I recently had to install a new hard drive into my laptop. I am running windows vista and have installed all updated drivers. After installing itunes and uploading my backed up library, I went to play a song and I got the error "host process for windows services stopped working and was closed." Movies play fine. I have searched but have not found anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Q I just upgraded to a new mobo and CPU, the EVGA X58 SLi and i7 920, and this issue still persists! That means it is either the sound card or Steam. The drivers on the CD have no issues, only the newer ones do. So by deduction there is something wrong with the new drivers, but I need them to not BSOD in OpenAL!

I am having an issue with syncing my photos on my iOS devices running iOS 7.1.2, the two being an iPhone 4s and iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G.
When I sync photos, I keep on having photos turn up missing from entire albums. I have tried everything I can to resolve this issue from the support article titled <a href="http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3697">iTunes: Unable to sync photos</a>, and nothing has successfully worked in any kind of permanent form. I have even gone so far as to sync albums individually with a limit of around 400-500 total photos per sync, (give or take), and tried using what very little options I have on the photos tab for my devices in iTunes to essentially trick the devices to sync the missing photos. Despite this, iTunes still fails to sync newly added photos from the source location.
I have even made the attempt of re-installing iOS 7 on both devices, and restoring from backup. Again with no avail.
My best guess for my iPhone is that as it is a 16 GB, not all of 15.6 GB of photos will sync to the device, (go figure), but that doesn't explain why recent photos aren't added OR why my iPad 2 of 64 GB has missing photos.
As of this post, I have an estimated 38,940 files, spread across 1,703 folders, (a large amount of folders being in some of the folders; from my knowledge never being more than two folders in). They are all in one dedicated folder on a hard drive I've dedicated to iTunes and music related files, (for the sake of AVOIDING this kind of nonsense, I might add).
As for the system OS and iTunes, I am running Windows 7 64 bit, and I am using iTunes 11.2.2.3, but will have updated to iTunes 11.3 by the time anyone responds.I have the exact same problem.
Same kind of photos/videos taken with the same camera randomly sync.
Did 11.3 fix this issue?

I get an error message when I install windows vista 32bits drivers for my X-Fi Extreme Music... it says, error while installing, can't find a compatible product on your system, verify if it has been corectly installed ... BUT INSTALLING I JUST WHAT I WANNA DO ! WTF?
all other software for hardware management can see that my sound card is connected to my mother board, so i don't understand why the driver installer can't see it too and install the drivers ...

I'm waiting for some cool answers, thanks ! ...You are wrong. The 2.3 are for extreme music, you are thinking about extreme audio. Creative have really made a blunder with these names, not strange many are having problems. Propably trying to install extreme audio drivers on extreme music, and the other way around!?
Check that you have the right drivers, if you do. Try the trick where you unpack the driver exe file, so you get all the files from the installer on to a folder of youre choosing. Then use the "Creative Update Utility" popup to install/force the drivers to install. If you dont know what im talking about, search the forums, its been explained many times here. -

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

I cannot sync my iPhone with iTunes for Windows. Even if the computer is authorized, it keeps on displaying an error message that tells that this computer is not authorized. I already tried to do the resolutions you have given in case this situation happens.

I am a regular user of I-tunes but recently i dont know why but I got some error in Launching I-tunes. So as recomonded by "Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7" section. I started removing the products. But after removing Quick time, I tried to remove Apple Software Update but while uninstalling it gave error that "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." and the uninstall rollbacks.
Please send me a feasible solution to this problem.

Help with Drivers for HP dv8315nr for Windows Vista 64bit
Hi everyone! In 2007 i bought a laptop a HP Pavilion dv8315nr with the hope that the stickers in his keyboard saying "Vista Compatible" was true and the promise of that the AMD Turion processor can handle a 64bit OS. Today i realize that was not entirely true, because i got the Windows Vista ultimate for 64bits and the processor can handle this OS but i see that in the HP site don't provide any support for the drivers, so i get the problem that i don't have audio in my laptop and the modem adapter doesn't work either.
My question is can anybody help me with the audio driver for the HPdv8315nr for windows vista 64bit, that's my priority.

JorgeI have the same problem with my Photosmart 7350's--I have two. I cannot get either to work with the New Mac Pro driver--Gutenprint .... I got the new drivers from Apple for HP but they fixed nothing. I even downloaded the newer drivers from HP, but their Printer Assistant does not seem to be working. I downloaded it twice. I can get a test page to print a few lines but the rest of the page is blank. When I try to print with either Pages or Word I get either nothing or trash.
My computer is the New Mac Pro 2.8 8-core with OS X 10.5.4.
These printers work with my Windows machine and I have read where they work with the Mac OS X. Can someone help. The link for printing trouble shooting did not help. My guess is the driver but I cannot get one do show up even after the HP download.

Trying to install Acrobate 8 Standard on PC with Windows 7, 64 bit. During the installation I was asked to provide "File Adobe PDF.dll for Windows Vista. How can I obtain the required file?
Nothing in the Acrobat 8.x product family is compatible with Windows 7 (or any contemporary OS).
The Acrobat 8.x product family passed into End of Support way back -- (November 2011).
The current release of Acrobat (XI) is compatible in Windows 7.

A very interesting NOTE to this thread. In order to try and get the "ignore permissions" box to show up in GET INFO (so I could execute Matt the Magician's solution to file sharing issues)-- I ran the terminal command for disabling ACLs on my internal HD / start up disk (as indicated in the linked thread to BDAqua's forum).
Although I understand that this was useless for disabling permissions on the start up disk (as everyone here pointed out) and allowing me to see the "ignore permissions" check box - somehow it did seem to fix my file sharing problem...and that was the root problem I wanted solved in the first place! After doing the terminal command and a quick reboot, I went in and tested file sharing on the chosen directory and I can create new files or work from existing files in the directory, with both users being able to modify / and save from both machines and each machine sees the revisions and can build from them. Bottom line - I'm stoked and want to thank everyone for their help.
The only other tweak I made was going over to my wife's machine and instead of using her log in / password, I just used my name and password to connect to my main machine that was sharing directories. Maybe that's what fixed the problem or the ACL disable but either way...I'm up and running the way I want to be.
Hope this thread helps anyone else who has these file sharing / permissions issues with Leopard. Especially for anyone wanting to do such a simple file sharing set up between 2 computers. I wish I understood exactly which tweak fixed the problem, but at least it works the way I want now.
