Error message "...Xtra failed..."

Question

Hello!
Hopefully anybody knows s.th. about the following error
message. It appears on a WinXP machine, when clicking on a button
of a packed CBT (AW 7.0). What should happen after clicking is: A
Knowledge object is started and a sound (.swa) should be played.
But the following error is shown:
"A problem was encountered while trying to play the sound in
icon "Untitled". The internal sound driver reports the following
error: "Xtra failed"."
Until now it only happened on one PC, but not on other XPs...
Thanks for help or any idea.

First, it would be helpful to your troubleshooting if you
actually
titled your icons appropriately. Unless you only have one
'Untitled'
icon, how can you track down which is giving you the error?

As a long time Authorware developer, few things drive me
nuttier than
seeing a load of Untitled icons throughout a piece.

Anyway, if you can track down the audio icon showing the
error maybe you
can better diagnose the cause. Are the audio files all
imported into
A'ware? Are they all linked external? If external, are all
files
present? If internal, try re-importing the audio track into
that icon,
or replace it with a new one.
