Error messages in iTunes when using multiple libraries
Hi there -- my boyfriend got a new iPod yesterday, a 5th generation 30G. I have a 4th generation 20G that I've been using for about half a year. After some difficulty getting it set up, thanks to extra editions of iPod software on the computer conflicting with iTunes 7, we finally got the iTunes recognizing his new iPod.
I created a seperate library for him (like you can in iPhoto, where you press shift when you start the program to choose your library). When I plug the 30G iPod in, iTunes recognizes it and starts updating. It gets about halfway through the songs that need to be updated, and then an error popup shows up that says something like "iPod cannot continue updating because the file or folder is corrupted." It's not stopping on a particular song or album; it seems to stop about halfway through the list of songs it's updating, whether it's adding 10 songs or 50. If I click "OK" (the only option), it continues updating; when it's done I get the "iPod has finished updating" message.
Then, if I press eject I get another error: "iPod cannot eject because it is being used by another program." The iPod still has the "Do Not Disconnect" symbol at this time, instead of switching to charging like it should once it's done updating. I have to pull the USB cord from the computer or shut down iTunes to get it to stop.
The iPod will update and seems to work fine, but this makes me worry that there's a problem that will only get worse with time, and I'd rather deal with it now. I also don't know if I should keep disconnecting the iPod when it's tell me not to even though it's updated, if I can help it.
Is it the software on the iPod (fully updated)? Or perhaps having two libraries (the one with the problems is not the original one)? iTunes was deleted and reinstalled last night with the help of Apple's phone support, so it's new.
For the record, my 4th generation iPod updates fine with my library, with no error messages, and ejects as it should. I haven't tried it with the second library; I also haven't tried using the 5th generation iPod with a new library or my existing, original one.
Latest problem now with iTunes is that I can't connect to the iTunes store or update art work. Freezes up. Clearly they nerfed old iTunes to make us upgrade to an inferior version. So frustrating.

Have a Windows 7 machine with terabytes of HDD space and 8 Gigs RAM. Two iTunes libraries (mine and my wife's with about 10% file overlap). Two iPhone 5s (iOS 6.0.2), 1 iPad 2 (iOS 6.0.1), 1 iPad 3 (iOS 5.1.1), and a jailbroken iPhone 3GS 32 GB that we've converted to an iPod essentially (iOS 3. something--not willing to update given the historically bad performance of the new iOS on the 3GS). Running iTunes 10 (also not willing to update to 11 after reading reviews).
I get multiple errors in both libraries with lots of popup boxes saying devices cannot connect, be properly identified, or sync, etc. Disconnecting and reconnecting via cable is marginally better (more so with the 3GS less with the iPads).
I'd like to be able to link certain devices to certain libaries (i.e. my iPhone5 and iPad3 with my library and my wife's iPhone5, iPad2, iPhone 3GS with her library). Instead it seems the wrong devices always show up or none at all.
Any suggestions would be most welcome. I have a moderately high level of tech expertise, so if there are scripts or hacks to be written/run I wouldn't be shy about trying them. Also would consider an iTunes alternative given that Apple isn't interested in supporting users with massive music libraries who need powerful databases as opposed to the dumbed down stuff they are trying to push in 11.
Thanks!
PS also my home sharing doesn't work at all on any device, but that seems to be Apple standard

Confusing error message from iTunes when trying to use AirTunes
Hello everyone,
I figured since other folks might run into this issue that it's worth posting about, since it's both annoying, irritating, and none of the Apple support hints address it properly ...
If you're one of those folk like me who has to deal with corporate proxies for pretty much everything while at work, but don't have any local proxy issues at home, you might use something called Proxifier.
Be aware that the way it works (as a kernel module, intercepting socket calls and transparently mapping them through your defined proxy) will screw up iTunes unless you explicitly unproxy it (it implicitly proxies everything except what you tell it to).
The error message I kept getting was "The remote speaker is not compatible with your version of iTunes", and after spending 20 minutes or so with ktrace, watching socket calls, I gave Proxifier a poke and told it to stop proxying iTunes. Lo, and behold, AirTunes magic returned.
So if you use both of these applications, be wary of the interaction between the two, as it can be confusing and produce undescriptive and unhelpful error messages!
cheers,
KlausHi Mars-
It sounds like your NI-DAQ installation may have become corrupted. I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the DAQmx 7.4 driver to correct this problem and ensure that you're up to date. This download is available here: NI-DAQ 7.4
If the problem persists you may want to uninstall and reinstall LabVIEW and then NI-DAQ in that order. The error message will usually give an indication as to which VI the error occurred in. Please let us know which VI is failing if you're unable to avoid the error with these suggestions.
Have a good day-

Error Message for Videos when using 2 computers and 1 iPod Nano 5th Gen
I have a 5th Gen iPod Nano and a PC (XP) and Laptop (Vista). I store my free digital copies of movies on the Laptop and all other media on the PC. I have both computers set to share iTunes libraries. When I tried to sync some TV shows from the PC to the Nano I got this error message: The iPod "xxxx" is currently linked to another iTunes library on the computer "xxxx". In order to copy the TV Show "xxxx" to this iPod you must link this iPod with this iTunes library. Doing so will remove 3 movies including 'xxxx' from this iPod.
Questions: 1)Why only videos and not music or podcasts? No problems with any other syncing and don't lose my music from the PC when I sync movies from the laptop. 2)Is there a fix for this?
I was able to do a work-around by copying the TV shows to a USB memory device and then transfering them to the iTunes on the laptop. I could then sync both the movies and the TV shows to the Nano.
I'm new at this iPod stuff and would appreciate your input.
Thanks.Does this problematic song play okay in iTunes? Have you tried removing and resyncing it to your device via iTunes?

Error message on iTunes when syncing iPhone 4s
When I plug in my iPhone 4s to my computer and access iTunes, an error message pops up, "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started." My iPhone doesn't show up on the left side as a device. This just started happening, but nothing has changed that I know of. Any ideas? I can't download updates from iTunes or download purchased music to my phone.
The Apple Mobile Device Service normally starts when the computer starts, but sometimes you can have problems. Check this Apple support document with instructions on how to restart the service.

As one other poster said, next time you start the computer, it should restart on its own. -
Error Message on iTunes 45048 using Windows XP
Can someone please help?
On my iTunes account I have a number of tracks - all purchased via my iPad or iPhone and need to download to my PC (XP is the Operating System) however, when you go the the iCloud symbol and click to download the following error message appears:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-45048).
There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.
This has been going on for days so trying later is not cutting it for me. All other Apple products I have are transferring from iCloud without any problems.
I have seen other posts that refer to Windows 7 users but nothing for Windows XP. I do hope someone maybe able to help.
Many thanks in advance.iTunes had at one point been installed on the PC. However, I don't know what version. I don't know whether or not an install was canceled in the middle.
gaah.
okay, we're going to try the treatment protocol which used to work frequently with the nastier versions of the itunes 4.9 "a later version ..." install error. see the following CoJeff post for the "ultra-clean uninstall and reinstall" instructions:

Which SRM version are you using ?
All the Data after makning changes in the PO document, will be also aviavale in BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI for the filter type- BUS2201 (Purchase orders) in your case. You can either do a validation there using BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI.
The Business Add-Ins [BADI] - BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI should be used for customer messages to be triggered ->

Error message 173-36 when using Add mode in SAP Add-on
I have created an ADD ON application that includes file maintenance on some master data type user defined tables (SAPbobsCOM.BoUTBTableType.bott_MasterData). When I try to add a new record to one of my tables, using a form that I created in my add on application, I am receiving the following error message in the red line area on the bottom of the screen, meaning that it is an error coming from SAP B1, and not from my add on:
Invalid code [Network master] [Message 176-36].
Network master is the name of the user defined table that I am trying to add a record into. Now, if I just ignore the message and hit the add button again, the record gets added to the table. But I need to figure out what is causing this error message so that I can get rid of it. I have tried to debug my code, but I cannot find the specific place where the error message is originating from. I only know that it is somewhere between the time I press the add button, and the time the form is reloaded to the screen. I have other user tables and maintenance forms in my application that are adding records without this error. How can I find out what is causing this error message? Thanks,
Nancy Walk
[email protected]Hi Nancy,
Are you using UserDefinedObjects together with your MasterData table?
MasterData and Document tables types are designed to work with UDOs. Then when you create your form you link this form to your UDO and the Add/Update/Find button works automatically.
When you create a MasterData table you have automatically a field called Code and another called Name. This two fields must be shown in your form and filled by the user or calculated in your code before the Add action takes place. Is it your case? It seems like you are trying to insert twice the same code or you don't fill the Code information...

Authorization error message in iTunes when transferring music to iPod
This has been driving me nuts. I have a 30GB iPod w/ the color display and a brand new Intel MacBook with the latest version of iTunes (iPod's been updated as well). My previous computer, a Powerbook G4, fell off a counter and died on the spot, so my only back up for all the music I have is what's on my iPod.
First, I couldn't transfer all of my music from my iPod to the MacBook because of an authorization problem with iTunes. So, I authorized my computer, which still didn't solve the problem. I resorted to using iPodRip which successfully got all the music off the iPod and onto the MacBook. No harm, no foul.
The problem now is that I can't transfer music from the MacBook to the iPod for the exact same reason: I get the error message saying that some songs are not authorized to play.
I have tried the following things:
1) Deauthorizing and re-authorizing my computer on iTunes = No luck. iTunes informs me that I am now authorized and that I have 1 out of 5 authorizations in use, but the songs still won't transfer.
2) Playing an "unauthorized" song in iTunes. Again, I get a message asking me to enter my account info and then thanking me for authorizing. However, the song won't play in iTunes, nor will it transfer to the iPod.
3) Restoring my iPod to the factory settings. Not sure why I tried this, but it didn't work and is the reason why I no longer have all my songs on my iPod and am trying so desperately to get them back.
4) Used iPodRip to try to reverse the process, but again, no dice.
I have a feeling that the answer to this is stupidly simple and I'm somehow missing some crucial step somewhere. Can someone help me out?
Intel MacBook Mac OS X (10.4.7)Alright, I think I solved the problem on my own. For what it is worth, restarting the computer seemed to solve all of my issues. After restarting, iTunes accepted my authorization (alerting me that I now have 2 of 5 machines authorized) but my iPod kept disconnecting after syncing. So, I reset the iPod, downloaded iTunes 7 and reinstalled it, and whaddya know- It works! I have all of my music on both my computer and the iPod.
It was stupidly simple, too. -
Paper mismatch error message on hp7500a when using eprint
I have an HP7500A wide format printer
When I send pictures from my phone to the printer via eprinter, I get a error message on printer 'Paper Mismatch'.
Paper size or type incorrect.
Yet when I check the settings it is set to A4, which is the paper I use.
Could anyone explain what I need to do to rectify this problem ?
This question was solved.
View Solution.Hello Nashy58,
The issue is in how ePrint works with the PhotoSmart printer line. When you send a photo to the printer via ePrint, ePrint will print to the photo tray automatically. Right now there is no way to change this. To print a photo to plain paper via ePrint, you would have to put plain paper in the photo tray, which I would not recommend since it was not designed to handle that paper type.

Error message in Itunes when trying to sync Ipod Touch 4th gen.
I'm trying to sync my iPod and I keep getting the message that "Itunes cannot sync apps to the ipod because the apps installed on the ipod could not be determined". It seems to be keeping the sync from finishing, so I can't access anything new I've added. It shows up on the ipod and looks like it's there in itunes, but I can't select it when I try to open it on the ipod.

Any suggestions??Hi there
I've noticed more than few posts about this since Captivate 4
was released.
Are you by chance using Windows Vista 64 bit? Seems most that
have reported this issue have been using that version.
Please report it to Adobe as a bug.

Error message on iTunes when trying to open iTunes Home page?
I'm not trying to find a song or anything, I just want to get onto the iTunes store home screen but this comes up??
Apple's App Store and iTunes Store Currently Experiencing Connectivity Issues
It appears that Apple's App Store and iTunes Store are both currently experiencing connectivity issues. The issue seems to be persistent across iOS and Desktop machines as well as the Apple TV. Attempts to access different parts of the store will either throw a "Cannot connect to App Store" message or "The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store."
This issue does seem to be isolated, so some users may not be experiencing connectivity problems. Most reports on Twitter seem to be focused around the Featured Section and Top Charts.
Trying to purchase some songs, books and movies also throws an error. Interestingly enough, the Apple System Status page reports no issues. Earlier today, some users had troubles downloading the Skype update, but users found deleting the app then downloading it resolved any issues.
