I am trying to download a library book to my nook and I keep getting this message:
Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem:
E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12
What does it mean and how do I fix it.

If due to some reason, you are unable to deauthorize ADE, follow the below steps:
Mac:
1.Go-> Go to folder.
Go to folder dialog will appear.
2. Type ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions
drag the activation.dat file to the trash.
ADE will be deauthorized now.
Now Authorize ADE again.
Windows:
Choose Start > Run.
In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.
In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept
Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.
In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.
Your authorization will be deleted.
ADE will be deauthorized now.
Now Authorize ADE again.

For about three weeks, we have been getting a pop up window
error message
"Could not find the Macromedia Flash"
I have tried everything I know to debug the error. No luck.
Tried Dell, MSFT, and my DSL provider.

At the same time this message started showing up, certain

I found relief for a similar bug by doing a search on the
adobe site and doing a flash player uninstall search. There is an
EXE you run on your computer to remove all copies. Be sure to close
all browsers and anything that is running flash... read notes. Then
go and do a fresh player install from the adobe site.

Apologies: I've just joined the community and didn't quite figure how to write a msg! Hope it works...
Anyway,
I read many posts on this annoying error message (Waiting for changes to be applied) in the last 2/3 days, but they all refer to the sync staying stuck on it.
Mine doesn't.
I read the message, then it quickly shuts down the sync and the iTunes progress bar only shows the apple...
As suggested by many, I removed voice msgs, turned off/on, tried to sync in individual stages (calendar only...) but nothing works.
I am up to date on iTunes (11.1.1.11) and have IOS 6.1.3 on my phone, to sync on a Win8 pc (all worked fine until recently).
I have had this phone for several years and it has never done this.
It worked absolutely fine, until I loaded the latest version of iTunes it seems...
Any suggestions?

ALSO, on the iPod under Settings>General>iTunes Sync, you may need to back out of the "iTunes Wi-fi Sync," and reopen it to get it to update.
(I use iTunes 11.1.5.5)

I was trying to past an entry and the iCal program froze with an error message that can't be deleted, the program stuck indicating updating and totally non-reponsive. i can only exit by force quit. It is stuck on yesterday which is the day I was trying to paste an entry. I think the entry was too large. How can I get out of this. i've restarted the program and the ocmputer but it doesn't change. I wonder if I could use time machine to go back to a previous cal version? Any ideas? I have my cal also on iphone and at icloud so I am not at a total loss. Except that i cal is now totally non functional.

Try removing the com.apple.iCal.plist file from your Macintosh HD/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences Folder. To find that folder, use Finder>Go Menu>Depress the "Option" key>Library. Drag the .plist file to your desktop, and log out/in or restart and check iCal for functionality.

PO Approval stuck in error without any Error message

Hi All,
we have few notifications for PO Approval where they are stuck in error without any error message. they are also not showing in the worklist of the approver nor in the wf_notifications table. please help on this on how to solve this. we have done various options to solve the issue like skip/rewind/suspend/retry. but none of them works..... below is an extract of such an notification -

Please post the details of the application release, database version and OS.
Can you find any errors in the Workflow log file?

I am need of help! I have had this issue for a while now and it's becoming frustrating.
My iTunes installed on my HP Windows 8 Netbook is unable to recognize my iPod, the error message along the lines of "iTunes has detected an iPod but unable to recognise"
I have followed all the trouble shooting tips and am still stuck? I am now being told by a friend I need a link sent to me to fix this??

So just close iTunes and re-open iTunes thats it and that worked for you?
When you say reset your settings do you mean to factory settings? As my iPod was swapped at the store for a new one and the problem is still there...

IPod Touch stuck in recovery mode, error message 1611 when trying to restore.

I bought a 2nd generation ipod touch from someone on CL and it appeared to me that it just needed to be plugged into the computer and be synced with itunes. But its stuck in recovery mode. When I plug it into my computer, itunes says it sees the ipod is in recovery mode and needs to be restored. Sout t I click on restore and it tries to restore it, but then it stops in the process and gives me error message 1611. I looked up this error message and it has to do with system security. I messed with my security settings and I still get this message. I tried using my home computer instead of my laptop and it still gave me the same message. Ive also tried holding down the power and home button for several seconds and it still goes back to recovery and gives me the same error message when I try to restore it. Also, itunes recognizes my ipod, but my computer does not.. Can anyone help me? Do I just have to bring the ipod into an apple store and have them figure it out? Thanks in advance!

Error 1611
This error typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, this error may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

Connect the device to your iTunes library in Recovery Mode using the instructions in this Apple support document. From there restore it factory defaults.

Error message on startup, disc stuck in drive!!!

Okay, long story short, my 17" imac flat panel was stolen, but by miracle, the police recovered it and I got it back. However, scumbag opened it up and messed it up pretty good. I got it back together and fired up, and luckily got my data backed up on an external hard drive. But, I went to update the OS and inserted the DVD, and it told me to restart, but when I did, I'm getting some error messages and nothing else. Can't open the drive, can't restart, or even go back to my old OS, nothing. Some of the words say: "panic, cpu 0, unable to find driver for this platform, powermac 4,5, kernel version, etc. etc.
Is there anyway to bypass this startup, and just power-up the drive to eject so I can remove the DVD?? Seems to power-up and work just fine on the older OS, but now it's stuck. And I don't have an Apple keyboard with the eject button on it. Any thoughts?

Hello! Holding down the mouse button at startup will open the drive if it's not mechanically stuck. Tom
