Error, MIDI and Audio Are Not Synchronized

In case anyone else is having this problem.
I've had this error popping up now and then during recording. After hours of recording with no error, it starts popping up. After pulling my hair out and trying many fixes in synch prefs and song settings, it seems a simple re-start of Logic clears this up. What am I missing, or is this just a glitch?

I have this problem during play back!
PB 1.67G w 2G ram LE7.0

How can i fix a clip when the video and audio are not matching up? I imported the video from a junkdrive in a .VOB format and concerted to a .mov the videos were filmed on a miniDVD recorder.

I would try detaching the audio and the dragging the audio to the left or right until it lines up.

I am trying to edit a few Ipad Clips in premier pro. My video and audio are not syncing. They are .mov lower resolution from the ipad. The original audio is fine - but after I put in a sequence the audio is off a few seconds (ahead). I did not add any affects or change anything. Please advise?

Premiere does not work well with variable frame rate video which, I expect, the ipad produces, You might have to convert the footage before you import it into Premiere. Do a forum search for variable frame rate, there are a lot of posts.

Subversion error -- server and project are not accessible

I just updated to CS4 for the only reason to be able to use
SVN within the program. I used to use versions, but thought that
not having to switch would be nice.
Whatever I tried, I'm getting the error "server and project
are not accessible." Remember, log in with Versions works smooth as
pie.
I created a new folder to download a new copy from the
repository, uninstalled all previous subversion clients and
reinstalled CS4, only to still get this error!
What to do? Why is Adobe making this so hard without proper
support?

I recently bought the Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Video Editing Software and after using it one time most of my videos are not synced with their audio. The audio seems to be fine, but the video keeps on speeding up and slowing down. It is very stressfull. I would love to get back to my video editing as soon as I can. Please Help!

MIDI and Audio playback not syn

I use a couple of multitracking software, to record MIDI and vocals. These programs worked well on my old PCI 28, but I recently bought an Audigy LS(best one that still worked with Windows 98). Now when I record the vocals, and play them back, the wave file is slightly out of sync with the MIDI file, so at the end of a four or fi've minute song, the MIDI ends 6 or 7 seconds before the vocals do, even though they were sung while the MIDI was playing. Any idea what the timing issue is here? I have a dual-boot system with Windows XP Pro, and it acts up in here too. The two programs that I use are Cool Edit 2.0 and Voyetra's Digital Orchestrator Pro.

I just tested it out myself. First, I experienced the same problem that you did. Mplayer wasn't able to play any audio because is said the sound device was locked or in use or something silly. In Tux Guitar, I disabled the JACK and OSS plugins (and a lot of other plugins) and changed the sound settings to "TuxGuitar Sequencer" and MIDI Port "TiMidity port 0 [128:0]. (I have timidity setup as my MIDI "hardware", like it is described in the Arch wiki) After that (and rebooting), I was able to play a TAB file and an MP3 in mplayer at the same time.

Audio and Video are not synchron

I want to make a video from our band, i have a moviefile and separetly an audiofile. The multiclip function doesn't work very well, so i have synchronize the two tracks manually. The next problem was to adjust the length of the audio track to the video track. i have shorten the audio track for 2 seconds (retime) to keep the track synchron from the beginning to the end. In FCP it works perfect, but after export the file, it starts synchron and will go apart more and more. how can I fix this?

best-practice-advice for FCPX is still:
• avoid using mp3, use aiff
• avoid sample-rates other than 48kHz
FCPX does marvel in handling diff. video-'formats', audio isn't its main domain.
so, why not perform a 10sec task, and convert your audio material in a recommended format?
keep in mind: mp3 could mean variable bitrates - keep that in synch with a probably diff. time-base …-
I've done a few 'music videos' so far, no rocket sience as long as you stay within the specs/limitations of the application. we playback music from a CD while recording video. we use same CD as 'master track' in FCPX (in some cases we don't even resample, no synch issues so far). we use the 'live'-audio from the cams to synch multi-cam = a snap!, although takes are 'orphanized' = just isolated seconds of the whole piece.-
a good edit starts BEFORE recording .......
means: make a plan, organize what when and how material is needed.
I'm no fan of trial-and-error-editing

We are facing an issue in the BDOC creation, We have a created a query BDOC (Mobile Application Modifiable ) in the CRM System, Activated it. Generated the Metadata in the Client console. We have used the same bdoc and segment for the document generation.
However In the Mobile client when the document is generated we are getting an error "BDOC and Segment are not valid" please let us know.

After applying the fixes, register the dll Genservicewrapper.dll present in
<<Drive>>:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE
After that, register UGM.dll preesnt in %mobilerootdir%\Bin.net folder.
Now open MAS and sync the BDOCs.

Error Garageband - can't sync midi and audio

I have no midi attached but still get an error message "Can't sync midi and audio".
All I am trying to do is record a voice-over using the built in mic on the iMac. But this error message keeps popping up constantly. I close it and then 10 seconds later it pops up again.
Why is garageband trying to sync a mid that I have not connected?

Enable all audio tracks (R) you wish to record. Then make sure you select the audio instrument you are using on the left of the arrange page (track list). If you here your input, hold shift, then highlight (gray) the mentioned audio tracks you wish to record on. When R is red, and the proper tracks are grey, you can record. Hope that made sense!

Audio and video are not synched

I'm just beginning with FXP X (8), and just added a file to my event library, and created a new project. Dragged my first clip into the story line, and discovered that the audio and video are not syched. This is original footage from a video camera, no modifications or added tracks. But clearly the words of the speaker on camera are not synched with the video, both in the event library and in the story line clip. Is this operator error (lol)? TIA for any help, I'm stuck on square one.

You can right click on your clip in the storyline and Detach Audio.
After that, you can slide the audio until it's in sync or if it changes sync over the length of the clip, there is a way to correct that as well.
First, in the video, skim the playhead until you can see something that will "mark" a specific start of a sound and set a Marker (type M). Then select the audio portion (already detached) and find the start of the matching sound and type M (adds marker to the audio.) Turn on snapping and slide the audio until the two markers snap.
If you need to correct sync drift, use the same technique for markers near the end of the clip, but instead of sliding the complete audio clip, Retime the audio clip (type command-R) (set the playhead over the video marker - snapping won't work when retiming) and adjust the end of the audio until the two markers match up. Preserve Pitch (from the Retime menu) should already be selected.

In one case, when I opened a particular folder, the song was not listed, even tho' the song is there when using Windows Explorer. This happens with mp3 and mp4 and just wav files. Some audio are accepted, most are not. I get that codec is not installed error message, too.
