which is very similar to an error here from October 2008 so I ask if anyone can help?
For me under windows xp on the pc installing the two sap dvd's "SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 Developer Workplace"
and "Kernel 7.01" this happens in step 33 of 37 steps.
In sapinst_dev.log just beforehand I see
"NWCallJava: Arguments passed: ROLE=CAFAdmin, ACTIONS=com.sap.caf.rt.caf.auth".

well yes it was very strange ... but it is now installed.
I think I'd better put a question into the main NW forum.
Happily I have someone here who is a genius and found out what was happening ...
1) the port 50000 wasnt useable, wasnt even in the log, but 50001 for https worked, so https:/localhost:50001 worked but http didnt;
2) a parameter "handlePromotionFailure" was used but not understood so the VM couldnt start
3) on top of that, being a huge concern, we have host names longer than the sap limit of 13 characters.
I have tried to assign you 6 points I hope it worked.

If you're using Flip4Mac to produce WMV files, the latest QT updates will create a conflict with Flip4Mac, which produces the error msg. referenced in the subj. heading above.
If you're using Flip4Mac, you may want to wait until Telestream resolves the issue before upgrading QT.

We moved from DOM parcer �import org.apache.xerces.parsers.DOMParser;� to JAXP.

This is happening because JAXP is not thread safe. need to synchronize bracket or use thread safe parser.

In mail, I keep getting the same "re-enter password" error msg even though the password in the mail accts is still there. This started on day 15 of a 30-day trip and continued until i walked into my office at home and my own wi-fi network. Fix?

Probably your email provider requires that email access be made from a point on their network. This would not be the case while you were traveling be would again be true when you returned.
Check with your email provider (your ISP?)
It would help if you identified who is providing your email service.

When i change MRP type from MRP to Manual in ME22N, it will come out the error msg:Purchase request mandatory for MRP generated Purchase order (Application area: ME Message no. ME901)! My question is how to change this error msg to warning msg?

This is my requirement.
We are transferring sales order data from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 through XI.And PO will be created in ECC 6.0 based on the sales order inputs.
When ever the SO data created in ECC 5.0.A sales Order IDOC will be generated and based on these details PO will be created in ECC6.0.Upto this level there is no problem and we have done this.
Source side : ORDRSP Idoc.
Target side : PORDRCP01 Idoc.
In addition to,If PO is not created in ECC 6.0.The suitable error msg will be reached to the concern user's mail ID's.
Please let me know to fulfill the pending task.
