As per previous msg still unable to to find solution. Installed new hard drive. Run memory test: o.k. Run Quick hard drive and said was o.k. Also Can somebody guide how to reset bios or system recovery. There is no external hard drives plug in or DVDs on the trays. Also did go into f10 and gave me the following options :File,Storage, Security, Power and Advance.
On Advance shows DPS self test and boot order. I run the DPS test and passed both:Test 1 andTest 2 . We're do I go from here . Will appreciate any suggestions. Please help me.

The system Recovery Media was stored on the old drive your removed from the machine . If you have put Recovery DVD into the drive to boot from so you can install the recovery media then you need to change the boot order so that the DVD drive is the Primary boot device and then the Recovery will be passed to the newly installed hard drive . I hope that I have read your question correctly if not please explain your issue again .

By far the most common problem hardware-wise seems to be scuffs on the aluminium. Yours is the first report of a faulty screen I've seen.
If you use the same Apple ID on both devices it'll sync whatever you want it to - music/apps/photos/messages/etc.

Happy to report that iTunes Match has returned to working like normal on iTunes 10.7 on my computer today. If any iTunes engineers read this thread, I really appreciate the fix.

You need a computer with iTunes and an internet connection
Try:
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Whenever I try to open iPhoto, a message comes up saying that 148 photos have been found in the iPhoto Library that have not been imported. I keep deleting the empty recovered photo files but it just keeps asking me every time I go to open iPhoto! I'd love to just get rid of the "found" photos (I can't open them anyway!)
How do I get rid of them so that I can just open iPhoto straight up without this?

Open your iPhoto Library package with the Finder.
Click to view full size
look for a folder titled Import or Importing and move it to the Desktop. Launch iPhoto to see if the message goes away. If there is no message check the contents of the Import folder to see if you want to keep any of those image files (usually they have not been imported into iPhoto). If you want to keep them then drag the folder into the open iPhoto window to import.

I would imagine it's the MyWay Searchbar which is classified by most anti-malware scanners as adware, or even worse as spyware. I say that because I see "SmileyCentral" in your list of plugins and that's an add-on for that particular toolbar. You can disable that via Tools | Add-ons | Plugins.
There are a number of toolbars which won't work with Firefox 4 anymore due to the enhanced protection mechanisms in the browser.
Mozilla recommends that you only install add-ons from its own security site @ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/?browse=featured Generally speaking, those have all been tested and approved. Try this fix discovered by User photosb189:
From Finder, hold down the option key on your keyboard and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen
Select Library from the drop down menu
Then navigate to Application Support > iLifeAssetManagement > assets
Right click on the 'sub' folder and choose Compress
Drag the resulting zip file to your Desktop (as a backup)
Go to your System Preferences and choose iCloud
Turn OFF the iCloud Photos option
Go back to Library > Application Support and DELETE the iLifeAssetManagement folder
Now, in System Preferences, turn the iCloud Photos option ON
iPhoto should now be able to launch. Give it enough time to re-download your Photo Stream content. if you are missing any of your My Photo Stream photos (more than 30 days old), unzip the sub folder on your desktop and drag that into iPhoto.

You can't. This is a security feature to prevent the resale of stolen iOS devices. You need to contact the seller and have him/her remove it from their iCloud account. Or return and get your money back. See: Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support

Hi Chris thanks for the reply , my iMessage was working until I listened to voda domes instructions to do a network reset now it's says waiting for activation , I have reset the phone I have a SIM card change as Vodafone thought my SIM card was faulty and took the phone back to the shop and changed it for a new one , I've been on many forum sites and a lot of people are having the same problem as I can send a txt message bit can't receive them Andy account is set up correctly on vodafones side ...
