Hi there, I am using a Macbook pro with Leopard with the newest version of iTunes. Many, many times when I have tried to purchase the newest episode of LOST, I click 'purchase' and type in my information and click 'yes', and for an instant it says 'purchasing' and shows the striped purchasing par across the top for only an instant, and then that disappears and an error message comes up, saying
"The item you tried to buy is no longer available.
The availability of the item changed while you were using the store.
The same item may be available with a different price or elsewhere
on the store."
In past weeks, I have been eventually able to purchase the episode, after trying to purchase and receiving the same error literally hundreds of times. Why do I try hundreds of times? Because I want to see LOST! And I will have to face the wrath of my disappointed housemates if I fail to present the episode in time. But this is very, very, very, very frustrating! Please help, iTunes! Or anyone, any help will be greatly appreciated. But this glitch has been going on literally for weeks/months! I expected it to be ironed out and fixed completely by now, but it is not at all, it is just as bad as it was when I first noticed it shortly after the beginning of LOST season 4, a few months ago.
Also, when I try to email iTunes, I am sure that I can email iTunes if I finally pick a subject that does not apply, but I do not want to do that.
It is also very, very, very frustrating, whenever trying to email iTunes, to be forced into picking a subject from a very, very limited menu. Many questions, such as this question, do not fit at all into any of the choices presented, from which a person is forced to choose a subject, before being allowed to type an email to iTunes.
I look forward to any help anyone can give regarding this error message, so that I will be able to purchase the new LOST episode from iTunes. Thanks for your help!

I had the same issue this morning downloading a pre-order of Alanis, Flavors of Entanglement . I noticed that the only thing that had changed fro me was that I had some song credits for purchasing ticketmaster tickets over the past few weeks. When I went ahead and spent my remaining credits... it downloaded with no prompting or trouble. Maybe the credits issues hangs it up?

HT201413 I have been trying to restore my iphone 4s for 5 hours, please help! The update wouldn't work and now when I connect the iphone it says I have to resore in order to start using itunes but I am getting an error msg. HELP!

I am trying to update a 4s. The update did not work for some reason. Now I need to restore the iPhone. When I connect the usb to the computer and phone it says I need to restore. So, I click to restore. It starts extracting the software. But I am continually getting the same error message that it cannot complete for unknown error. I have been working on this for 5 and a half hours. I'm tired, mu husband needs his phone and apple support is a joke and of course I can't find any answers anywhere. Please help!

As an iPhone user myself, I know it must be very much a problem to have the phone out of service because of an error such as you are seeing. Let's see if we can get you back up and running.
I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article -

HP Error Msg -9672 HELP!

I have an HP Photosmart 7350 (connected to iMac by USB) that has always worked (a couple of reinstalls of the driver over time but OK). I had real printer issues today; had a network printer connected to my Airport go south. End up resetting printer system. Tried to print off the HP 7359 (still connected to the iMac by USB). I keep getting the -9672 error when I tried to add the 7350 using the Printer Setup Utility. I have uninstalled several times; trashed ALL HP folders (actually anything that had HP on it!); tried installing directly from the original HP disk; tried downloading the HP 2.5.6 driver twice....I am ready to drop kick the printer....
Nothing is working. Please help....

I found this suggestion on the forums and tried to use it: 3) Set Print Setup Utility to "Open Using Rosetta"
3.1) Go to MacHD\Applications\Utilities\Printer Setup Utility and "Get Info"
3.2) Check the "Open Using Rosetta" box
3.3) Close the window
I could not see how to open Printer Setup Utility in Rosetta--there was no "Open in Rosetta" option in the General Pane. I read all the posting on Rosetta and understand that it runs in the background IF necessary. I am still battling with the HP Photosmart 7350, trying to get it to run on the proper driver and was trying ANYTHING...about to throw in the towel and buy a new printer!

IPad2 Sync Error Msg Not Helping

Lately I've noticed that, when I sync my iPad2 to my Mac (both running the current OS versions) I get a notice on my iPad that there were items it was unable to sync, check iTunes for details.
The first few weeks the notice said there were 2 items....when I synced today I noticed it was now up to 4 items.
Unfortunately, the notice displayed on my iPad after the sync is completed doesn't help me a bit to figure out which items are not syncing. The message simply says to check iTunes. It doesn't say if I should look in iTunes on the iPad or iTunes on my Mac. I'm assuming it means for me to check iTunes on my Mac, so I have, and I don't see any sync error messages anywhere.
Is there a particular place in iTunes I should look to find the details of which items aren't syncing? I've been thru all the tabs, and none display any error notices.

My first though is USB ports. Try connecting direct to the computer avoiding front panel ports, hubs and USB1.1 ports. Then try again.

I have a MacBook Pro, running on OS X 10.4.11
Whenever I try and open my emails through safari, this is an example of what I get.
Safari can’t open the page “https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false& continue=http%3A%2F%2Fmail.google.com%2Fmail%2F%3Fui%3Dhtml%26zy%3Dl&bsv=1k96igf 4806cy&ltmpl=default&ltmplcache=2” because it couldn’t establish a secure connection to the server “www.google.com”.
Plus, my mac doesn't want to run the msn messenger anymore
Anyone can help?

Are you using that exact link to get to the login page of Gmail, or just www.gmail.com? Have you tried clearing your cookies and then trying again?

Downloaded Adobe 9 -- Using Word 2007 to open PDF doc (Error Msg)

I just updated to Adobe 9 and am getting this signature error message when trying to open a pdf doc from MicroSoft Word 2007: appname: acrord32.exe appver: 9.3.0.148 ModName: acrord32dll ModVer: 9.3.0.148 Offset: 001937fa
Am not able to get beyond the error msg.

I recently upgraded from Adobe 8.1 to 9.3. Now, I can no longer open pdf docs.
I am getting an error that says: "Adobe Reader 9.3 (or 8.1) has encountered a problem and needs to close."
I have uninstalled 9.3 and reinstalled. I have uninstalled 9.3 and reinstalled 8.1. I have gone back to 9.3.
I have run 2008 Advanced Registry Optimizer.
The error signature when trying to open a pdf file w/ either Adobe Reader (9.3 or 8.1) is this:

Photoshop CS2 (program error msg)... Help please!!

I have installed the full creative suite 2 on my new iMac. everything works fine except photoshop?!!?
Illustrator works great, In-Design works great, But when i try to open a file or create a new page in PS it tells me "Could not create document because of a program error"???? ***?
I had a previous version of CS and it worked fine for one day, then that started happening. I installed the CS2 trial version, and it would still give me the same error msg. I erased everything and installed the new CS2 (photoshop, illustrator , in-design and acrobat). It still gives me the same darn msg.???
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I suggest whenever you have problems with third-party applications, the first place to start troubleshooting is with the application's documentation, then vendor's web site. Usually their sites have FAQs, lists of known bugs, or application-specific forums similar to these Discussions. Sometimes, unlike the Apple Discussions, the questions are even answered by employees of the vendor.
The document cited above was found in 10 seconds by searching the Adobe support site.

Error msg 13019 please help

i need help in getting rid of this error msg 13019. it started after downloaded a couple of songs. and it will not allow me to sync my nano ipod thanks

Ive fixed this issue before. The steps are kinda long but they work.
This is for windows computers with iPod nano that get the error 13019 during or after a sync with iTunes.
-Open itunes
--click, edit, click preferences
--select advanced
---make a note of the iTunes media folder location on a notepad.
---put a check in organize files
---take the check out of copy files
---click ok
--Click file, at the top of iTunes
--move mouse over library, select organize, and consolidate files. ( This ensures all music in you iTunes will be in the iTunes media folder later.)
At this point, if you have playlists you want to save:
-Create a folder on your desktop, call it, playlists
--Hover you mouse over your playlist in iTunes, should be at the bottom of the blue/grey column on the left.
--right click the playlist, select export playlist
--Navigate to your desktop and open the playlist folder and save.
---Do this for each playlist you want to save
-Close itunes
-Click your start button, and open computer or my computer
--Using what you wrote down on your note pad, follow the path to the "iTunes folder", NOT the iTunes media folder
--Open the iTunes folder.
--Stop here
-You will see icons that look like folders and you will see icons that look like files-
-You will KEEP the FOLDERS
-You will DELETE the FILES
--If it makes you more comfortable you can cut the files out and paste on your desktop, but as of now we do not need the files any longer as we have the playlists backed up. Remember-Keep the folders.
--That was the magic--
-Disconnect your iPod if connected.
-When you open your iTunes, it will be empty, that is OK. We are recreating the library. Everything will come back in a few seconds.
-Click file at the top
--Select, add FOLDER to library, not to be confused with add file.
--In the window that pops up, locate and click on computer or my computer
--From here follow the path to the iTunes media folder on your note pad, but do not open the iTunes media folder.
--Click the iTunes music/media folder one time so it highlights.
--On the bottom right you will have option to select folder, or choose folder or OK. Hit that button.
All you music will start to import back into iTunes.
-Plug in iPod after completed
--a message pops up about being synced with a different library.
--Click erase and sync
--Watch all your songs go on your iPod with no error message.
From here you may sync your iPod the way you want with out worrying about the persnickety error 13019!!!!!

--move your mouse over library, selecte import playlist
--on the new screen that pops up, navigate to your desktop

When I conect any ipod ,the itunes show an error msg-The syncServer found a problem and must be closed.After that another-Mobile device helper find a problem and must be closed -and this repeat more 2 times each are related with corefoundation.dll.

I have been battling against the same issue for over 2 weeks now. After tracing what was happening on the machine to find that the crashes we're happening slightly after Apple's program we're identifying the Time Zone of the computer, I had the idea of checking the date/time properties of my Windows XP machine.
I unchecked the box to update the time from a time server (Internet time) and it's seem that this was what was causing itunes and its descendant to crash.
Now it seems it turned back to normal operation.
Please let me know if this fixes it for you as well.

Ok, Below is what worked for me somewhat.
Okay ... try downloading and saving a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe to your PC from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now download a trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/download.php
Open the iTunesSetup.exe with WinRAR, and try to run the standalone install of Apple Application Support from the AppleApplicationSupport.msi you find in there.
It works now BUT there are still problems. It is not allowing or recognizing my Cd/DVD player and i CANT burn. Looking still for this fix.

The issue eventually resolved itself, I still don't really know why. I kept up with Windows update, and attempted downloading iTunes again from the Apple website, and it just... worked. It now works fine. I don't know why it took approximately 4 months to work, though.
I'm sorry I don't have any more helpful information. Posting here was my last resort, and clearly Apple never bothered to reply.

In Excel have you tried saving directly to xls (not xlsx) and opening the xls in Numbers?
If you have a complicated workbook in Excel that uses lots of Excel's advanced features, Numbers may not be able to handle the import. It does pretty well on basic things, though.
If you're just trying to get data into Numbers, then often copy-paste from Excel is easier than trying to open xls files.

It sounds like you might have a corrupted preset.
Here's something you could try:
Go to your Preferences/Presets tab and push the Show Lightroom Presets Folder button.
Then close Lightroom and temporarily rename that folder. If the problem goes away, one of your presets is bad. Otherwise name the folder back to what it was and let us know what happened.
