after putting the latest ipod update on my mini and restoring i hav been havin problems with it. when transfering my songs to ipod it only transfered about 30 of 600 then it just stopped and came up with the error message i've tried restoring my ipod numerouse of times but still getthe same problem also i have tried unchecking some songs that may have caused problems but it stops transfering on all of them wat do i do lol

To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

Whenever i plug in my ipod, it looks like its going to sync but doesnt and makes my laptop freeze.
When i disconnect the ipod it stays frozen to that " connecting " image, causing me to have to restart the ipod.

I am having the same issue. I just had the battery replaced at a third party store. The battery powers the ipod up but it needs to be restored. It is saying it isn't eligible for rebuild. The disk can not be read or written to!

So this is the setup:
Latest version of iTunes running on the wifes PowerBook under 10.4.X
I’m using a new 4th Gen iPod Nano and I’m trying to sync the iPod to the library. Its gets about 400meg in and then comes up with error ‘The disk can not be read or written to etc etc...’ It stops at the same time every time.
The library is split between 70% CDs and the other 30% is are tunes copied over from my iTunes library.
I’ve authorised her Mac to play them so there should be no issue there (I think) as purchased tracks do play in her iTunes.
I’ve tried repairing permissions
Restoring the iPod and making sure the FW is up to date
Changing USB ports
What else can I try?

Password doesn't work?
If so, try resetting it. If the computer is having any other problem, take it to the Apple store to have it checked out.
Reset Password starting from Recovery HD
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”.

Try updating your QuickTime to the most recent version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?
