Error navigating from OBIEE Dashboards 11g to BI Publisher

Environment: WebLogic Server 10.3.5 OBIEE 11.1.1.5 AIX 6.1
Browser: IE8 (company standard) and others like Firefox
Hitting the links on browser in OBIEE dashboard to create a Published Report in BI Publisher, I get the following error:

Lov selection from obiee dashboard to Bi Publisher report

Hi
I have created an Bi publisher Report . it is having 2 date parametrs and one lov (multiple selection) like deptno .
I need to place this report on obiee dashboard. i am able to create the 2 date parametrs as presentation variable in obiee and pass the values to bi publisher .
But i am not having any idea how to create lov in obiee dashboard and pass that lov selection as input bi publisher .
can any one please help me in this.

Error running OBIEE dashboard 11g

I am using OBIEE 11g with Oracle database 11. I created a query based on a repository. Then, when creating a dashboard based on the query and have performed the same, I get the following message "getElementsByTagName (...). 0. " Ja tried on several web site and got no response. Someone could tell me the what happens?
I remember that the Dashboard does not contain any Java programming, just drag the query to run and sent a column.

Setup OBIEE dashboard 11g

Hi,
I have a dashboard with prblema OBIEE 11g
I have a painal with multiple charts on that chart there is the option to be shown a list of the top twenty companies, when clicked on this option in addition to bring the list with the top 20 companies graphs also show values related to these 20 companies.
I wanted to put that information to be presented was originally a company specified by min and that the company would clearly list is selected.
How can I do this?

I want to turn off cache in all layers of OBIEE. Through OFW I have disabled the cache. So is the case with alll physical tables in RPD.
Also, I have changed instanceconfig.xml as per this blog

to remove any presenatin server cache.Restarted the services.
Obviously, first time the report takes a while to load (Dasboard prmpt value=A). Then if I change the dashboard prompt value from A to B, it takes a while to load, which is understandable. But Now if I go back and change the prompt value back to A, it comes very fast.(I want it to be slow, as there is no cahe, it should again go back to DB and get the data) Even cleared the cookies while doing so. Still report comes up very fast.
Looks like it is still caching somewhere may be session level? Can you help how to disabale all forms of caching?

Need to Remove html text in Saved PDF from OBIEE Dashboard

It's OBIEE 10g related issue...
Customer wants a Dashboard as PDF, Dashboard has a footer which has a HTML link. While saving this Dashboard into PDF file, it has the HTML text in footer place rather than HTML link.
Can you please help me on this issue that how to resolve this.

Drill down and Navigation in OBIEE Dashboard

Hi,
We have a requirement to navigate to another report by clicking the drill down column.
For. E.g. The Existing Drill down in the report is as follows: Country -> Region -> Area.
Now, when the user clicks on Area , it should navigate to other report which will provide more details.
Since, Area column comes only after drilling down(i.e. It does not exists in the Criteria of the report) how to use Navigate option or GO URL to navigate to other report or dashboard.
This is urgent. Please help...

Column values truncating when exported to excel from OBIEE dashboard

Hi,
I am fairly new to OBIEE. recently I am facing an issue, when I try to export a report using the download to Excel or download to excel2000 option, one of the 18 digit column value is truncated to exponential value. Like for example the column is ESN with 18 digit numbers like 268235457500823991. But when I export it I get only 268235457500823000 or 2.68235E+17. Please help what could have been the issue.....

Error While Extract results from OBIEE 11g Prest. Service to External apps.

Need a urgent help
I am using java to connect to OBIEE's 11g SOAP-API and trying to pull Graph’s in External Application.
I have successfully been able to connect to the API, create an HtmlViewServiceSoap object, and use a combination of the following methods to pull HTML & Javascript Content and write to a file through this all methods: addReportToPage, getHeadersHTML, and getHTMLForReport.
But while executing the respective URL got from getHeadersHTML ,getHTMLForReport function it gives ‘EmptyResponse’ alert message. Actually, The URL got from getHTMLForReport i.e. reportObject.setAjaxGoUrl does not Hit to Bridge Servlet, So in the application only the Searching image appears with ‘EmptyResponse’ alert message .
We are Successfully able to render graphs using OBIEE's 10g SOAP-API HtmlViewServiceSoap service and getHeadersHTML ,getHTMLForReport function in External Application.
Please let me Know the solution ASAP for extracting Graph from OBIEE's 11g SOAP-API

João, could you please explain how did you solved that network problem? I'm having a similar error establishing a Site Studio connection: 'Design time connection error: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out'
If I create this connection from a JDeveloper installed in the machine where UCM, WebCenter and SSXA are installed there's no connection problem. The problem only occurs in others pcs in the same network.

Browser performance issue when Calling BI Publisher report from OBIEE dashb

We installed OBIEE 10.1.3.3 on SunOS 5.9 unix box.This is PROD env.We are calling BIPublisher report from OBIEE dashboard by clicking the BIP reports link on OBIEE dashboard.After clikcing the link BIPublisher report is opening in another browser window.But is it taking time.
Plz tell me how can we reduce the time taken to open BIPublisher report window when we cilck on the report name in OBIEE dashboard

There is no out of the box method to get the EBS report to OBIEE. You could look into moving the EBS report to a mountable web server directory after it completes and then show it in OBIEE via a link or html object. You will need to rename the report of course, every time you run it its going to change names.
In an after report trigger you could call a small java class to move and rename the file for you.
Alternatively, recreate the report in the standalone version. Be aware that you are going to have to set orgs yourself, BIP is not aware of orgs outside of EBS

Link from OBIEE Report to BIP Report

I have a requirement in which I need to Create a Report in OBIEE and the values used in the prompts to execute the report in OBIEE needs to be passed through a link to BIP and Execute BIP report for selcted parameters.
The Report is working fine and I am able to pass the parameters from OBIEE to BIP but to make BIP Report function correctly. I have to apply same set of Parameters in BIP and they are visible in the header of the BIP Report.
Now the Requirement is to hide those parameters from BIP Report and BIP Report should run for the selected parameters from OBIEE dashboard.. On doing this the values passed from OBIEE are not getting filltered in BIP report and BIP Report is running for all records. Is there an alternate way to achieve this?

Enhancements to Parameter Display Options
Enhancements to parameter display options include:
Support for radio button and check box display of values
Parameters that are defined as a menu in the data model can now be configured to display the menu options as a list of radio buttons or check boxes. Parameters configured to support one value support the option to display as radio buttons. Parameters configured to support multiple values support the option to display as check boxes.
New options for placement of parameters in the report viewer
Previously the report viewer always displayed the parameters in a horizontal region across the top of the viewer. In this release the display of the parameter region can also be configured in one of the following ways:
In a vertical region along the right side of the viewer
As a dialog
As a separate full page
New report viewer action button to show or hide parameters
This release adds an action button to the report viewer to enable users to hide or show the parameter region. This enhancement complements the new parameter display options. When report parameters are configured to display as a dialog or in a separate full page, the parameter display region is dismissed when the viewer displays the report. Use the Parameters button to redisplay the parameter region to make new selections.
Search added to menus
All parameter menus having more than a specified number of options provide a Search option. For more information, see Section 3.3.1.1, "The Parameter Search Dialog."
Option to remove the Apply button
Reports can now be configured to remove the parameter Apply button. In these reports the action of selecting a new parameter value automatically reruns the report.

How can I delete a previously published app from my dashboard?

I have an app on my Windows Store dashboard that was in the store, but I unpublished it and I'll never publish the app again. How can I delete the app from my dashboard?
I've read answers on simular questions that an app can't be deleted, but I really want the app removed from my dashboard...

It is possibile passing multi-value parameter from BIEE dashboard prompt to BI Publisher integrated report? (BIP report has a DB data source (not a answers))

In order to pass a multi-value parameter through the Reporting Services Web services, you need to define the same numbers of ParameterValue objects as the number of the values of the multi-value parameter being past into the report. The Name property
of these ParameterValue objects must be specified same to the parameter name.

BI Publiser from OBIEE

Hi there,
I got a question on BI Publisher. I did install OBIEE recent version (10.3.1.4) on my windows XP home. BI Administrator and BI Answers working fine.
when I tried to open BI Publisher from OBIEE I get 'ORcle BI Publisher Enterprise' page and asking username/password, I tried to give Administrator as username/password but I was not able to login.
Can anyone help me on this, is there any settigs need be done to run reports from OBIEE repository?

I did check config file loated at 'C:\OracleBI\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Configuration\xmlp-server-config.xml' and security model set to BI Server, here few lines inthis file:

I hope you mean RPD is Repository username and password, if yes then I tried to use repository username/password, it was not able to login.
