Error occur in Sun Java System Server

Question

I have just installed the Access Manager version 5.2, some error occured when I explore on it. I'm using window xp platform.
After the System Server Console start, under the "DPS Configuration" tree, the page with the title "DIrectory Proxy Server Group Configurations", it stated there "An error occurred while loading data for this view" below there is a "Retry" button.
After I click the Retry button, an error message windows prompt out, "Cannot populate DPS Configurations topology tree node. In order to load this information, make sure there is at least one operational Administration Server which manages a Directory Proxy Server instance and choose Retry."
I found out that under that under the "Server Group" tree, the "Administration Server" and the "Directory Server" Server status is "Started", but the "Directory Proxy Server" Server status is "Unknown".
After I click "open", then I click on the "Restart Directory Proxy Server", then a "Persistence/Synchronization Error" message window promt out, contain of the message is as below: "The console could not read and/or write information from the Administration Server. The problem could be due to:
"1) the Administration Server is not running or is functioning improperly, or 2) DPS's configuration has become corrupt or invalid.
See the console's debug output for a more specific error message."
How to resolve this problem?

You better try a different forum - IMHO your question
is not related to Access Manager.Not necessarily-- it could be a situation where he was trying to install access manager, it brought directory with it as a dependency, and then he got stuck with directory configuration.
Still, the directory forum is more appropriate.
Also, I'll note that you probably don't need (and shouldn't have) a directory proxy if you're just looking to have a small access manager environment for development/kicking the tires.
