hello like many of you I have had trouble with the new update for Itunes. I solved the problem by just deleting it and reinstaling from the disk that came with my Ipod. my Itunes is working again except it won't play my music files and when I put a CD in and press the import button it brings up an error message which reads Error occurred while converting the file "song title". An unkown error occured (-223). I am at a loss, Ive been fighting this for about 2 days now and keep losing. someone please help me.
    thanks in advance

dude thank you that did the trick however I still have the problem of ALL the music that I had on there (before the new version of iTunes screwed up everything) won't play in Itunes i.e. I push the play button and get no response but it will play the songs that I am now importing thanks to you. Any thoughts?

  • Error Converting "name"... An Unknown error occured (-223).

I need to know how to fix this problem. When I try to import a cd, or any audio files into my library, i recieve this error message:
Error occured while converting the file "Name of Song". An Unknown error occurred (-223).
I've tried reinstalling the iTunes, and I still recieve the same error message as i have before. I have the latest update of iTunes and sometimes when I open iTunes it says it is missing some of the converting files or something like that.
Can somebody tell me if they've had this problem and if they know how to fix it?
    Thank you very much,
    AfroBo

  • HT201210 When I try to sync my iphone I get a message saying that it was unable to back up my iPhone as an error occurred. Help?!

When I try to sync my iphone I get a message saying that it was unable to back up my iPhone as an error occurred. My iPhone needs a software update but it won't let me do that until my phone is backed up! I have authorised my computer and tried disconnecting my phone from the computer, but nothing is working. Help please?!

I was receiving the same message. I had to uncheck the box that allowed me to sync my phone to my computer (PC) via wi-fi. After that, I have not had any problems. I am speculating that this issue is probably related to the wi-fi problems people are experiencing with iOS 6.

  • Mac Pro SMC Firmware Update "An Unexpected Error Occurred (0)" HELP

Mac Pro SMC Firmware Update (Version 1.1) Size (970 KB)
"The SMC Firmware Update adjusts fan behavior in Mac Pro. The updater application will be installed in the /Applications/Utilities folder and will launch automatically. Please follow the instructions in the updater application to complete the process."
-----THIS IS WHAT HAPPEND TO ME----I try this morning to install and this is what I got:
" An unexpected error occurred (0).
Your firmware can not be Updated. "
    "See www.apple.com/support for more information."

Are you booting from RAID? even though it warns that you can't be booting from RAID, some people still run the update.
    Any problem with your system?
While it only says that you need to quit any and all open programs, sometimes it helps to reboot (and boot into Safe Mode) just to begin the process.
When there was an SMC Firmware update before (last fall) some people also had trouble.
We aren't mind readers, and to say it failed doesn't give those of us reading this (and non of us are Apple tech support) a lot to go on.
+Please follow the instructions in the updater application to complete the process.+
+To update the SMC firmware on your Mac Pro:+
+Your computer’s power cord must be connected and plugged into a working power source.+
+1. Quit all other open applications.+
+2. Click Restart in the Mac Pro SMC Firmware Update window and wait for your computer to restart.+
+The SMC firmware update starts automatically. A status bar indicates the progress of the update. During the update your computer fans will run at full speed, but will return to normal once the update completes.+
+Important: Do not interrupt the update.+
+Your computer restarts automatically when the update is completed and opens the Mac Pro SMC Firmware Update.+
+3. Click OK. The SMC firmware is now up-to-date.+
+If these instructions appear on your screen again, the SMC firmware update was not successful. Repeat steps 2 and 3.+
    Note:
+This update requires a Macintosh formatted disk or partition. If you are starting up using a RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) subsystem, you must attach a Macintosh formatted storage device to apply this update.+
*+Some USB and FireWire devices may prevent firmware updates from installing correctly.+*
*If you are having trouble installing an update try disconnecting non-essential devices and use only an Apple branded keyboard, mouse and monitor.+*

hey guys so i just recently restored my whole MBP. I ran the original disc, went into Disk Utilities, erased my HDD, installed OSX (10.6.8) and then ran the software updater. Everything is up to date. My only problem is that when i run the disc that came with all the bundled applications, it gives me this error "An unknown installation error occurred." I don't know whats going on and could use some help!
    Much is appreciated!!

    OK I have the scenario:
Thinkpad printing fine in den, not docked, using a wired / cable network connect etc..
    1) Suspend machine, walk into office
    2) Cold dock it with docking station with machine suspended
    3) Unsuspend machine
    4) Surf, need to print an invoice
    5) Attempt to Print to normal network printer --> no
Attempted to print to Snagit virtual printer --> no

    8) From TB 24.0, no error message, the print dialog opens and when I select print, the dialog box disappears like it's going to print and then no printouts.. and I do not get "An error occurred while printing.."
    8) Time to reboot..
Something is not getting reinitialized properly. I keep all my stuff current and ever since version FF 27.0 and TB 24.x no dice. Im current at FF 27.0.1 and TB 24.3.0. Thanks.

  • HT201263 iPhone 4 is in recovery mode but iTunes can not restore it.. Says unknown error occurred  (21) HELP!

I've just got back of holiday and while there my phone decided to turn itself off, it would not come back on unless I plugged it into the wall charger, it said that I had to connect it to iTunes, but being on holiday I couldn't.
So when I got home yesterday I plugged it into my laptop and the Apple logo came on, and then went off again, then back on and off again, it was doing this untill I unplugged it. So I put it into recovery mode and it said Connect to iTunes, so I did. It then said that the phone needed to be restored, iTunes started this process, 'extracting software' it said, and then once that was done it said 'preparing iPhone for restore' but then my phone disconnects itself from the laptop and then connects again then disconnects again. Then iTunes comes up with a message saying 'iTunes can not restore this iPhone 'iPhone', a unkown error occured (21)'
I have tried over and over again to try and do this but it keeps coming up with the same.
Does anyone know what's wrong with my iPhone and how I can fix it?
    Thanks

And what did the error message say?
