Error occurred (-45054) in iTunes

When I now start up iTunes, I get this message "An unknown error occurred (-45054)" and then iTunes quits. I have v.11.1.2 of iTunes running on a Mac with OSX10.6.8. I've tried reinstalling iTunes but keep getting the same error. Thanks for any help!!

Hi, I have the same problem.
I already tried all the suggestions in the troubleshooting issues on mac and the situation persisted
In my case, I can connect to the Itunes Store and navigate it but cannot completed the purchase.
Even I already tried with a second apple ID with exactly the same response.
Did you find any solution?

  • Error code -45054 from iTunes store when trying to purchase content

Tried everything I could think of. Had already done a fresh install of OS Mavericks and this issue recently came up. Couldn't find any threads describing a fix so any help is appreciated.
error code -45054 from iTunes store when trying to purchase content
    Specifically:

    3 days later...same error code.

    Hello there, Tyger2204.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps and additional reference links for troubleshooting issues connecting to the iTunes Store:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368
Feel free to begin with these recommended steps:
Make sure your computer is up-to-date and meets the following requirements
Make sure that you can access the Internet on your computer or device.
Make sure that your computer meets the iTunes minimum system requirements.
Make sure that your operating system is up to date:
For Mac: Choose Apple () > Software Update to determine if updates are available for your computer.
    Troubleshoot issues on a Mac
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store, a software conflict or your Internet service provider (ISP) may be blocking your access.
Update iTunes and Safari to the latest version.
If you have a firewall, your settings may be preventing you from connecting to the iTunes Store. Follow these steps to configure your firewall.
You may need to reset your keychain. Connection issues are occasionally caused by keychain issues. Learn how to use Keychain First Aid to resolve any issues with your keychain.
If you're receiving a specific error message, follow these steps.
If the issue still persists, contact your Internet service provider and confirm that these ports and servers are enabled over your network.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • An error occured talking to iTunes store

We are getting prolem while uploading binary file to iTunes store. We didn't understand the exact problem. This only giving an error message on background activity "An error occured talking to iTunes store". We are using application loader version 2.9.1(44). For better understanding attached screenshoot.

I would recommend using Xocde 3.2.6 at least. And also Application Loader 1.4 or higher if possible.
As well, did you use the Window wizard in Application Loader to redo your login?
iTunes Connect is online as far as I know, but it does have good days and bad, so keep trying and good luck.

  • My iTunes application can't open, An unknown error occurred (-45054)

An unknown error (-45054) has occurred on my itunes application with has shut my out of it completely, ive tried everything i could thing of but it still comes up with this unknown error and i dont know how to fix it

I am having this same problem. It just started today but I can't even get iTunes to open.

  • ITunes An unknown error occurred (-45054).  When running OS X Server 10.9

On 10.9 this error message results when iTunes is unable to access '/Users/Shared'.
In a non-server environment the problem is resolved by running Disk Utility and performing "Repair Disk Permissions".
If you are running OS X Server, File Sharing will override the standard permissions.
To resolve this issue, make sure that the user running iTunes has a minimum of "Read Only" access to the Shared Folder "Shared".
Be aware that even if "Everyone Else" has "Read Only", there may be a group that includes the iTunes user that is preventing access. For example "Workgroup" has "Custom" settings that block access.  In this case, delete "Workgroup" access and re-add with the appropriate permissions.
This appears to be a regression with 10.9.  Previously (10.8.5) an error dialog would be displayed and processing would continue.
Note: This error is accompanied by the following Log entry (via Console)
iTunes: BUG in libdispatch client: kevent[EVFILT_WRITE] delete: "No such file or directory" - 0x2

Thanks wmark.. this  ACE seTting ws "access OTHERS=NONE"  to READ.. this resolved the "iTunes: BUG in libdispatch client: kevent[EVFILT_WRITE] delete: "No such file or directory" - 0x2" issue for me.
    good tip!.
