Error of "Not a Valid Win 32 application " installing 7.0 for iPod Shuffle

I have downloaded the apple Itunes 7 software and I get an error of : Not a Valid Win 32 application I have windows xp I have been trying to figure this out for a couple of hours.
All I can figure out is that it is because I have dial up and not a broadband connection (which is one of the requirements for 7.0). If this is the problem, what do I do to get around the not having broadband?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! I would love my new present to work! PS. a family member already has an Ipod Nano installed, can we use the same iTunes?

I found that I had a bad (not complete) download. After redownloading 7.0 and installing it, it worked great. Hope this helps other with my same problem.

  • Installation of Office Pro 2007 - Error is not a valid Win 32 application

I am using MS office Pro trial on widows 7 operating program and have just brought the full retail version.
When I insert the installation disc the program will not install, after about 5 minutes I get a message"
    *D:\is not a valid Win 32 application.*
The retail version I brought is certified for windows vista, I loaded on my PC which is running XP and the disc worked as should.( I did not go through with the install on the PC, I just tested the disc)
I copied onto a external hard drive and tried to load it from there. No go!
I even used my product key code on the trial program but it rejected it!
Any ideas out there would be most helpful

This may get round the problem if its related to "old" progs on your install disc. I used this method when installing Office 2007 with a packaging date of March 2007 in case it saved lots of product update downloads - worked perfectly but I still had 20+ updates downloaded after install.
If you have a reasonable broadband speed then [dowload the Office 2007 trial|http://us20.trymicrosoftoffice.com/default.aspx] . MS email and display a trial product key but when the download starts to run don't use this key but your own "full" version product key
Just re read your post - you are going from trial to full so what you do is follow MS instructions
Follow these steps to activate the trial:
Follow these steps to convert the trial:
You can convert from the trial software to a full-version either before or after your trial period ends.
    Before the trial period ends:
You will start receiving expiration reminder messages indicating the date when the trial will expire. At this point, you can convert to the full product in two ways:
    1. In any of the expiration reminder messages, click Convert, and then follow the steps in the conversion process, below.
    2. At any time during the trial period (or even after the trial has expired), you can open any of the Microsoft Office System products, and in the Help menu: click "Activate your software".
    After the trial period expires:
The software goes into reduced functionality mode. Some of the limitations of reduced functionality mode include the following:
    - You can not create any new files.
    - You can view existing files, but you can not modify them.
    - You can print files, but you can not save them.

  • [.jpg image] is not a valid win 32 application

    PC Win Xp SP3
Prior to upgrading to CS5 (from CS4) I could couble click on any image, .jpg, .CR2, .DNG, .TIF, .BMP any image file anywhere on my computer and CS4 would open and open the image inside CS4. After upgrading to CS5 I get an annoying error message telling me "[.jpg image] is not a valid win 32 application" I find that hard to believe because all the images were valid Win 32 applications when I was using CS4. I then have to open CS5 and either drag the image to CS5 or Ctrl+O and find the image. It is not a crutial process but It makes be think there may be more amiss that just not being able to open images with a double click.

The fix for this ladies and gentlemen is to properly uninstall CS5 and reinstall it. I worked for a few hours today with an Adobe tech who used the remote access process and he tried everything I had tried on my computer to no avail and finally had to uninstall CS5 and reinstall. Although I was a bit surprised when he went to uninstall CS5 without deactivating it first. I stopped him as he move the pointer to "Remove" and told him he needs to deactivate CS5 before removal so I can reinstall it again. That would have been catastrophic. I lost all my actions I had created but I can build up the library again. So it is a relatively easy fix, jut do it.

  • I have Win7Pro64, tried to Un-Install Firefox control panel, no luck, tried running helper.exe from Uninstall folder and it says "Not a Valid Win-32 Application" What gives?? Just want to update to 3.6.4 and that didn't work either so I'm trying to remove

Running Win7Pro64. Tried to update to 3.6.4 and it failed. It said to download the whole program so I did. Tried to install and says that the "License File" is missing. SO I go to un-install 3.6.3 myslef with Control Panel. All that did was remove Firefox as a listed program in control panel, all of it is still there in Explorer and it runs fine. So I go to use Helper.Exe under the Uninstall folder of Mozilla Firefox and when I click that, it says "Not a Valid Win-32 Application" What's up with that?? All I want to do is remove 3.6.3 so that I can clean install 3.6.4. I tried installing 3.6.4 two different ways with failures both times. I tried to remove 3.6.3 using two different ways, and that also failed both times.
    == This happened ==
    Just once or twice
== I tried updating to 3.6.4. It failed both with the update and the full download, so tried to un-install 3.6.3 in control panel, then helper.exe with no luck.

You don't want to update to 3.6.4, trust me. Stay with 3.6.3. If you need to download it again you can find it here:

    Hi,
I build an executable using PDA module and try to open it up on Pocket PC, but it says "FILENAME is not a valid Windows CE application" every time.  Can any one give me a pointer or two?
Do I have to install a thing or two onto the Pocket PC system before doing anything?  I am using Windows CE .NET 4.2

    Hello,
    The best place to get
started with the requirements is the datasheet.
You can also find the information in the PDA module manual.
    I’m not convinced that
a previous post was correct (http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=160316&requireLogin=False).  Have you seen this tutorial for Windows CE?
I apologize for the confusion!  Please review these documents and let me know

  • Error message, not a valid win32 application

Please help if you can, because I am new to computers. I have downloaded itunes (setup), which is only 11 meg, but it should of been 56 meg. When I click on it now, it say's run, then itunes setup exe is not a valid win 32 application.
I have tried this about 4 or 5 times, even deleting the whole file and re-installing several times. Please help, many thanks

Have you had a look at this troubleshooting page? It may be of some help: iTunes: Windows reports that iTunesSetup.exe is not a "valid Win32 application"

  • Error message "Not a valid Win32 application" when I try to install

I have downloaded the setup software several times but I cannot get any of it to load. I get the message that it is not a valid Win 32 application. I am running Windows 7. I have no problems with Thunderbird on other machines. There are no help paragraphs anywhere in your system that address this issue - at least not using the available public index.

if the installer is not valid, it will be because it has been corrupted in the download process. Usually by an over helpful anti virus program. As the installer is basically a 7Zip executable some corporate system will not allow the executable to run as it contains a ZIP file.

  • Not valid Win 32 application

After download iTunesSetup.exe, and trying to install it, I receive a message that indicate this file is "not a valid Win 32 application" What should I correct or do?

I'd reccomend you using Mozilla Firefox (URL BCC code doesn't seem to work ..) at www.getfirefox.com
    The problem never occured here.
But if you are, I don't know what the problem is

  • TS3212 I just finished downloading iTunes, but when I clicked "Run" Windows indicated that it was not a valid WIN application and I lost the download. What can I do?

I've been having a lot of trouble with iTunes lately. When I would sync my iPod to iTunes, many of the most recent songs I had downloaded would be removed from my playlists and their respective play counts wouldn't be updated. I had thought that updating iTunes would fix my problems, but each time I tried to download the update, nothing would happen. The dialog box that gives you the option to open or run the program would not appear. Finally, after referring to the Apple Support Community, I was able to find a link to download iTunes that allowed me to do so. But when the download was complete and I attempted to run the program, a Windows error occurred that indicated iTunes was not a valid WIN application. It gave me no other option but to click "OK" and when I did, I lost the entire download. I hope that there is a way to fix this problem.
    Thanks for reading.

If this occurs for a certain executable, this indicates a corruption of the file, redownload or reinstall it. Perform a chkdsk.
If this occurs on multiple executables, causes might include disk corruption/failure, memory corruption, malware infection,...
Check if the issue also occurs in safe mode. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7

  • Itunes 64 bit Win is not a valid 32 bit application

I'm getting sick of apple. They're worse than microsoft ever was.

Remove and reinstall all iTunes and Quicktime related components as explained here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
    1. Remove iTunes and related components from the Control Panel
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
    2. Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalled
In most cases removing iTunes and its related components from the Control Panel will remove all supporting files belonging to those programs. In some rare cases those though, files may be left behind. After following the previous steps, you must confirm that the following files and folders have been removed. If any are left behind, remove them now:
    C:\Program Files\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\
    C:\Program Files\iTunes\
    C:\Program Files\iPod\
Note: Follow the additional steps at the end of this article if you receive the alert "Cannot delete iPodService.exe: It is being used by another person or program" when trying to delete this folder.
    C:\Program Files\QuickTime\
    C:\Windows\System32\QuickTime
    C:\Windows\System32\QuickTimeVR
If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, you will need to confirm that the following folders have been removed as well:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\
C:\Program Files (x86)\iPod\     Note: Follow the additional steps at the end of this article if you receive the alert "Cannot delete iPodService.exe: It is being used by another person or program" when trying to delete this folder.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\QuickTime
    C:\Windows\SysWOW64\QuickTimeVR
    3. Reinstall iTunes and related components
After verifying that iTunes is completely uninstalled, restart your computer and then download and install the latest version of iTunes.

  • QAAWS error message "not a valid query"

    Hi,
When I'm trying to connect to QAAWS I get this error message: "not a valid query. FWB 00025".
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
The server where the BOE is installed on has been restarted a couple of times but it doesn't help.
Universe Designer and WebI work fine.
    Thanks!

Is QaaWs running properly on your system?
To validate the installation, open a browser and type the following URL
    http://[server]:[port]/dswsbobje, where [server] corresponds to
your web server address and [port] corresponds to the port where you
set up in your web server. The default used by Tomcat is 8080. dswsbobje
is the default name of the Web Service provider web application. Then Validate.
