Error on Installation of CrystalReports 2008

Hi,
I attended to install CrystalReports 2008 on my Windows XP SP 2 machine. I already installed the BOBJ XI 3.1 client tools and the SAP integration pack. But there is no chance to install CrystalReports tool.
First I tried to install the build-version 12.0.0.683 with an error during the installation, which were "ignored". So the installation finished anyway. Starting CrystalReports ended in the missing "entry point".
So I read about the SP1 (build 12.1.0.852) and I tried to use the integrated installation that was forced to finish with the message about "another installation currently running" (But there was definitely not another install I started). That's why I supposed a problem with the MS Installer and updated it with the result that any attempt of installation ends (waiting hours) with the "determing my disk space requirements".
I would really appreciate it if there is somebody out there to give me an advice about a possible solution

I too am having problems with the installer, although I think I've made it a little further than you. I successfully installed CR 2008, but then removed an old version of CR XI afterwards; that's when my trouble started.
What has happened is that I can no longer launch a .RPT file from windows explorer: This produces a message stating that CR 2008 needs to be installed, but then complains about vjsharpwizards not being a valid short name. Additionally, I can't uninstall because I get the same error, and I can't reinstall over the top for the same reason. I even tried changing the file extension associations but that doesn't even yield CR 2008 as an installed program; navingating to the CRW32.exe only makes things worse.
Even though my trouble is bit different than yours, we do have one thing in common...the presense of XI tools... I wonder if you back up, yank that out and then try again if you won't have better luck; My theory is that there is some leftover/walk over/clobber incompatibility between XI and 2008 on the same machine...

Hello,
I'm trying to install Crystal Reports 2008 on a Windows 7 laptop. Receiving Error 1904, Module C:\PROGRAM FILES\BUSINESS OBJECTS\BUSINESSOBJECTS ENTERPRISE 12.0\win32_x86\ReportConvTool.dll failed to register. This seems like a premissions error, but I have full admin rights on this system.
We are starting training next week and I need to get the software installed.
Any help you can provide would be great!

I have been looking and found the exact error above.
So 2 of us have it but as yet there is not a fix.
I understand that SP3 will help, but my problem at this second is I can not get the productr toload for the first time.
Thus I do not think I can apply SP3.
Or (which is possilbe) am I wrong

Error in installation of ECC 6 Import ABAP

I have got error during installation of ECC 6 on win 2003 and oracle.
"Not all objects are succefully processed. BO XI 3.1 Installation in Win 2008 R2. CMC & Infoview not opening

I did a BO XI 3.1 SP3 Installation on Win 2008 R2 machine. The Installation was successful. I could connect to the CMS from Client Components (Rich Client, UD, etc.,).
But CMC & Infoview are not opening... I mean the page shows blank without promoting for BO Login Credentials. I'm thinking the problem could be around Tomcat Configuration / something... The system doesnot have IIS. Tomcat version is 5.5.
Any help would be appreciated.

Adobe Illustrator CS3: Fatal error during installation

Hello,
I just bought the AI CS3. It installed OK on my friend's laptop (windows). However, when I clicked the big button in the installation:
"Install Adobe Illustrator CS3"
A window showed:
Initializing Adobe Illustrator...
Then I got a message:
"Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe customer Support for assistance. Fatal error during installation".
I've tried several times. My computer meets all the requirements (it's a really new and faster PC). And there's no old versions of AI on it yet.
Can anyone help? Thanks!!!

Do you have any other Adobe products on your computer? When I installed CS3 on my Mac, I kept getting failures. After contacting Adobe, they told me I had to delete ALL other Adobe products -- including Flash and Adobe Reader. Plus, I had to do searches and delete any support files associated with them. It took hours!

Itunes: Fatal Error During Installation (it wont download at all) HELP!

Yesterday my iTunes (7.3.1) was working with no problems then the iTunes + Quicktime upgrade came up telling me to download the newer version but I didnt want to download it yet untill after i restarted my computer so I exited out of both the upgrade screen and iTunes then restarted the computer and when I tried to open up iTunes (after restarting), a little window came up saying:

Then after a minute or two it said: *+Please wait while Windows configures iTunes+*
Then another window pops up saying:

and I have no idea what that means so i closed it then a pop up shows saying: *+Fatal Error During Installation.+*
so i deleted iTunes, Quicktime, iPod and everything i could (that my computer would let me) that had to do with Apple and restarted my computer then tried to download iTunes again but now when its reisntalling it says

Then after this i went to the folder

and made sure that Read Only wasn't checked but everytime i go to uncheck it and click Apply and OK it doesnt stay it just goes right back to being checked...because when u click OK the window goes away so i immediately opened it back up to see if changed but it was filled again

I downloaded Quicktime seperately from iTunes and i got that with no problem and it worked just fine but i cant get iTunes at all
and i have follwed the instructions on the website about uninstalling everything but nothing seems to be working
...is there any possible way that anybody can help me out with this.

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

As per the blog you have to open the msi log files which must be located at
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log
In MSI log files search for the error mentioned in blog. Below link will help you read setup log files

I get this error while installation of addon.
An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B)
My code works fine when executed directly from Visual Studio. But when i build the addon and try to install it, i get this error.
The server is 64 Bit. is it making any difference?

look at sdk forum, there is a lot of explanation for this.
From visual studio you are using diferent connection string than in addon and for addon you must create separately instal file (not only compiled as exe from vs)
In sdk samples is example for addon creating, look at that.
