Oracle SSO Failure - Unable to process request
Either the requested URL was not specified in terms of a fully-qualified host name or OHS single sign-on is incorrectly configured.
Please notify your administrator.
I followed the instructions and on the first page, it asked me to login and I got this error message.

ORA-06502 error after SSO login

Hi all.
In our intranet i'm trying to use the AS 10g SSO
as authentication with my HTML DB application.
HTML DB is into a 9.2.0.4 database in a Alpha open VMS server.
AS 10g infrastructure and AS 10g mid-tier on two difference Linux RedHat AS 2.1 servers.

but it works perfectly with portal.

.After that i go to address http://esysocs2:7777/oiddas. Off this point when i click on login all addresses on Address bar covert to http://esysocs:7777/oiddas/....(remind of the system name). In otherwords "esysocs2" changes to "esysocs".i also tried again by using IP address of my machine(which is static). At this time i receive page "Single Sign On" with ERROR :Unexpected errors (WWC-41400).( this is the situation when creating the new oid users)

In services window, Oracle OLAP 9.0.1.0.1,OracleOCSInfra_homewebcachemon services are not starting when i attempted to start. I installed the infrastructure 8or 9 times in this week. Every installation time it is same that services are not starting and the error in SSO page.
Q 2) Why these services are not starting for me? Is the services basically doesn't start or any mistakes i did in the installation process? ( I know i didn't do any mistake at the installation time.) describe me when these services needed and how to start those sevices if necessary?
One more thing is which password we will enter when we attemp for the first time on the SSO. In manuals it is saying that "enter the oid username and the password". At first, in installation time we didn't create the oid users. By default what is the oid username and the password.
Q 3) What is the default OID & SSO username and the password.

I solved all my problems By setting the domain name to my system and using the windows 2003 server.

Upgrade to Apex 4.1 results in "Error processing SSO authentication"

We recently upgraded our Apex environment to 4.1 from 4.0.2. In our previous environment we used SSO authentication. Some how in the new Apex 4.1 we can get to all our applications with the url https://test.home.org/pls/apex put any application which requires SSO authentication gives this message:
Error processing SSO authentication.ORA-06550: line 2, column 1: PLS-00201: identifier 'WWSEC_SSO_ENABLER_PRIVATE.GENERATE_REDIRECT' must be declared ORA-06550: line 1, column 45: PL/SQL: Statement ignored

After upgrading to APEX release 4.1.0.00.32 we received the following errors when attempt to authenticate to an application setup to use "Oracle Application Server Single Sign-On" as the Scheme Type.
Error message:
Error processing SSO authentication.

This has been identified as BUG 12973090 - SSO WITH SPECIFIED PARTNER APPLICATION NAME FAILS WITH PLS-00201
Workaround:
The work around is to leave the “Partner Application Name” field blank in your authentication scheme. To do this go to: Application Builder > Your Application > Shared Components > Authentication Schemes > Click the Edit Icon on your authentication scheme that uses Single Sign-On > set the “Partner Application Name blank as follows > Apply Changes.
Oracle support says development is currently working the issue and the bug will not be fixed until APEX release 4.1.1.

Error in SSO authentication

Hi,
I have an apex application tied up with SSO. I have to make edits to this application now, but when I run the application I am getting following error:
Error Error processing SSO authentication.
ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PLS-00201: identifier 'WWV_FLOW_CUSTOM_AUTH_SSO.PORTAL_SSO_REDIRECT' must be declared ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: Statement ignoredAny help to solve this issue is appreciated.

Partner application configuration is missing error on SSO login page

We have APEX 3.1.2 setup as a partner application and an application within APEX setup to use SSO for authentication. Following a link to the APEX application redirects to the Single Sign-On page, as it should, but it also shows "Error: The partner application configuration is missing or expired." I type in my password and username, click the Login button, and (if I entered my username and password correctly, of course!) then the APEX application is shown. So, I cannot figure out why we're getting the no_papp_err error and I have not found any solutions to that issue on Metalink or anywhere else on the Internet. Any ideas? I'm concerned that we have a misconfiguration somewhere that is causing this error and will affect any other partner application we setup in the future.
We're on Oracle Portal 10.1.4, SSO 10.1.2, and SSL is setup on both infra and mid tiers.

Did you try checking the partner application entries on the SSO-login server page?
please login as orcladmin or some other user with membership in, i beleive, iasadmins group. verify that for this partner application, what you see here corresponds to the application URL. it looks like your login page call may have issues. so check for login url too.
also check the ORASSO.WWSSO_LS_CONFIGURATION_INFO$ for entries corresponding to Apex application.

Unexpected error in SSO login page

Hi all,
We have a problem with our SSO, or with our LDAP directory, or with the way in which they work, not sure about. In the past we were using version 9.x and everything worked fine. Now we migrated to version 10.1.2.0.2 and we discovered that using the same functionality to register and log user is crashing. After a bit of debugging, the problem seems to be that the PASSWORD of the created users is encrypted using some Hash and retrieve in an array of bytes, insted of in plain text as before. In principle this shouldn't affect the way in which we use the LDAP & SSO, but for some reason, when the user tries to log in using the recently created user account and password, the SSO login page gives an "unexpected error" message. The SSO login page is the original page coming with the SSO infrastructure, no change at all on it.
Any idea why this might happened? Is the some way to configure the SSO or the LDAP so they don't encrypt the user password? Any other possible config detail that we should check?

So after finding the log files on our SSO server, I found out the exact error message that the SSO was throwing was that the account was still not activate!!! Then I realized that we started to make use of the "Start date" LDAP field recently, and event when the date was set to the current date when the account was created, the time was set to 0s, event when the current time was also passed to the LDAP. I don't know what's the reason why the LDAP didn't get our time, passing the date-time with the format the LDAP was asking for (yyyyMMddHHmmssz), but just by rolling one day back the start date, the user accounts were automatically activate when they're creating, solving our problem.

Error in SSO between Portal and IDM

Hi All,
In my scenario i need to configure the IDM workflow in portal and do SSO between them. I followed the steps given in IDM-Workflow installation document and did following things.
1. Uploaded the par file available in IDM installation kit in to portal.
2. Imported the Portal Content package (epa file) in to portal.I got the role Identity Center in my masthead.
3. Created System as said in the document.
4. Completed the necessary steps for transporting certificate between them.
But when click on the role 'Identy Center' or do preview of any iViews of IDM i am getting the following error.

Error entering SSO administrator creds

I am trying to configure SA 5.5.1.1 but when it asks me to put in the SSO administrator credentials I get the following error:
Something failed. Try again.
General failure.
java.net.UnknownHostException:
XXXXXXXXXXXXX.xxx.xxxxxxxx.gov: Name or service not known
XXXXXXXXXXXXX.xxx.xxxxxxxx.gov: Name or service not known
(I removed the server/domain names for security sake)
I've already verified that my server is up and running and all services are on/online and operational. I am able to log into my system using the SSO administrator account without issue, so I know the password for that is right.
I am unable to locate any documentation on SA other than the less than useful information provided by VMWare. Has anyone run into this before and if so how did you fix/overcome it?

I think it can happen if the host names of the SSO records that are found in the LS can't be resolved. (the error message isn't the most informative, unfortunately)
This could be either because 1) SA is using the wrong DNS server, or 2) the hostnames in the records are incorrect (not resolvable even if using the right DNS server).
Most probably it is 1). You can fix this by quitting the wizard (press Cancel), go to the "VA settings" tab and edit the network settings. Then you can continue with the installation (go back to Overview, press Configure and so on)

Getting Error in SSO with OWA scenario.

I am trying the SSO with OWA with EP 6.0 SP13. I am refering the document " Integration Of OutLook Web Access into SAP Enterprise Portal "
I am getting following error:
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A
Unknown Logon Method 'null' for system 'SSO_OWA'.
See the details for the exception ID in the log file.
I do not find any option which allows me to specify the Login Method While creating a system, in SP13.
What should I do to get the successful implementation?

There are three methods for creating a new system
1. Use the XML profile in a deployed PARfile
The new system inherits all the global properties defined in the PAR file component. It inherits property names, meta attributes and any default property values.
2. Use an existing template.
If the template was created directly from the PAR file, the new system is identical to the one generated by the first method. If the template has undergone changes, the system inherits the changes made to the property attributes in the template.
3. Copy an existing system
The procedure you use to create a system is not application-sensitive.
You run the same wizard for creating the system for any of the applications to which the portal provides connectors, or for which you have created and deployed a PAR file. The differences reside in the XML profiles, whose properties are determined by the application being defined, as each application has some unique connectivity requirements.

Getting error in sso from ep to r/3 system

Hi,
I configured SSO from EP to R/3 system.When iam checking SSO through System Administration-Support- SAP Application--
SAP system by alias in the drop list menu.
Enter a transaction in the Transaction code field.
Choose the Go button--then it open the r/3 gui and in below iam getting error name or password incorrect(repeat logon),guide me for the same.

The Password for the user id that you are using to connect to Backend System might have been changed or the User ID has been Locked.
You need to change the user's password in the backend system or unlock the user and try to use the correct password to connect to backend using SSO.

Managed System - error in SSO setup

Hi Experts,
i am doing Managed system configuration but stuck on "step 8 - Configure Automatically" with below error.
My SOLMAN version is 71 SPS11.
Error while calling Diagnostics setup web service. Check note 1822831.
CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT : SOAP:1.007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 401 : Unauthorized")
CX_SOAP_FAILURE : Error when processing Web service call
CX_SOAP_CORE : Error when calling SOAP Runtime functions: SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 401 : Unauthorized")
I have check the note 1822831 but not help at all.
Also, i have tested the webservice connection with out issue and JAVA UME master client have set to client 100.
i have also able to login to http://localhost:50000 with user SM_INTERN_WS without issue.
Basically i have the same error for SAPRouter setup, Extractors Setup, Introscope Host Adapter and Generate System-level Metrics in this step 8.
It seen like authorization issue. But i have no idea where to verify the user id and authorization.
Kindly advise.

Error in SSO test

Hi all,
I have implemented the SSO by using SSO configuration between SAP Portal 7.3 and ECC 6.0 Ehp 6 document.
The system object test is successful and trust is established.
For SSO testing system admin-->support-->Application integration and session management-->Test and configure tool-->then i have selected the system object and entered the Tcode then when i click on Go its showing an empty screen.
can any help on this issue??

Error test SSO from Portal side

Hi,
You can access logiles from http://host:port/nwa and choose System Management ® Monitoring ® Logs and Traces.
You can select default trace in dropdown and search for relvant log message.
You should have administrator role to access NWA.
