Error on uncompressing file
Hi !
We have one user getting the following error message when trying to log on to SAP BPC for Excel:
"Error on uncompressing file: ActiveX component can´s create object"
"Cannot download templates from server"
And after this error message BPC opens but there are no dimensions available in CV.
Anyone who knows what can be wrong?
/Fredrik
It definitely looks like xceedzip is the culprit...there are several SAP Notes that deal with xceedzip and all pretty much have the following solution.
If there is an existing xceedzip.dll in the x:\programs files\bpc directory, unregister and rename the file first.
Solution
This problem was resolved by:
1. Obtaining the XceedZip.dll from the application server's
x:\bpc\websrvr\web\installation directory.
2. Copying and pasting that file to the client's x:\programs files\bpc
directory.
3. Registering the file on the client machine using regsvr32.

Error on uncompressing file:Error : ActiveX component can't create object
Hi,
Users encountered the following error when they access BPC Excel from their workstation.
The problem happens when this user log in to BPC for Excel and connecting to BPC server. Before that, the BPC for Office installation is done successfully on this user's PC.
I had tried to open the BPC Excel from the server itself and it's working fine.
Kindly advise.
Regards,
ChiamCheck any of the answer may help to solve your issues.
1) This issue can be resolved by changing the 'connect as' setting for each appset's virtual directory in IIS on the web
server(s). The radio box 'Always use the authenticated users credentials when validating access to the network directory' should be checked for all appsets.
OR
2) This issue was resolved by removing the domain name in front of the users id, and placed it in the domain section of the login screen. In other words in the connection wizard, the users were putting in PBI/Neal as the user id, Neal as the password, and leaving the domain name blank.
If this problem is appset specific please check the FILESERVERLOCATION parameter in tbldefaults of the problem appset in SQL and the virtual directory settings for the problem appset in IIS. Also, try deleting the TEMPLATESAPPLICATION.ZIP files in the system files folder then incrementing the template version in Admin by 1.
OR
3) IF APPSET SPECIFIC
Process security then refresh webexcel cache files via the system update control in Admin. Also, have all users receiving this message clear local application information via etools -> client options.
NOTE: This issue is typically caused by NOT performing a full process with ALL options checked including the application(s) when a new member is added to a secured dimension or a hierarchy change is made. Also, always process security when prompted.
IF MACHINE SPECIFIC
1.Verify that there is a temp folder on the local drive (c:Temp)
2.Default file location in Excel is a shared network drive which you do not access to write to
3.Default file location in Excel is using UNC, Universal Naming Convention
4.Check proxy or firewall configuration
If you connect to the Internet through a firewall or proxy server you also need to add the ip address of the Everest server as an exception, this can be done at the client (Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet Options/Connections/Lan Settings) or server level. Having content filtering enabled on the proxy/firewall can also cause connection problems.
How can I tell if ports are open? Go to a command prompt and enter Telnet serveripaddress portnumber. For example, Telnet 43.118.18.36 80
If it returns a blank command window, the port is open.
If it returns a message saying it can't connect or other, the port is not open.
NOTE: IN SOME CIRCUMSTANCES WHEN NONE OF THE ABOVE RESOLVE THIS ERROR YOU MUST DELETE AND RECREATE THE LOCAL PROFILE FOR THE PROBLEM USER TO RESOLVE.
Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable

IR webclient: error when uncompressing data retrieved: *Data Error*!
A small (?) number of IR webclient 931 installations we notice the next error when processing: " error when uncompressing data retrieved: *Data Error*! " It does not seem to be user or permission/provision related.
Does anyone have an idea how to solve it. Reinstalling the IR webclient does not solve it.Hi there, I got to the point where I found the cause, but now I still need to solve it. perhaps anyone can give me a hint.
931 bqy's are stored on server as zip files. (although they are renamed as *.1) On 832 they were stored as bqy files (although they were renamed to *.1 too).
The clients which had the error message tried to open their 931 documents with the 832 plugin. Which does not have the capebility to uncompress the .1 file. In that perspective is the error message very obvious.
We need to run both 832 intelligence plugin and the 931 webclient on the same client.
How can we force that the corrcet version is used for openeing the docs? -

IRWebclient: error when uncompressing data retrieved: *Data Error*!
We experience a sporadic "error when uncompressing data retrieved: *Data Error*!" while processing a query with IR webclient 931. The problem occurs on several webclients but on other desktops it does not. The IHTML processes fine.
Any one an idea? reinstalling interactive webclient on the same pc does not help.
Completely reinstall the pc (os and other client software including interactive webclient) does help.Hi there, I got to the point where I found the cause, but now I still need to solve it. perhaps anyone can give me a hint.

Automatic FCPX Crash on Uncompressed File Import
Hello there...
I'm running FCPX 10.0.8 on OSX 10.8.4.
I edit sizzle reels and often am delivered footage on BluRay discs. I extract the files using a "Pass Through" mode that only makes sure the H.264 files on the BluRay discs are compliant and rewraps (no re-encoding). Once I have these large .m4v files I import them into FCPX.
If I don't optimize or create proxy on import, the files will import ok but once in FCPX they aren't usable. There is a solid green color where you would normally be able to watch clips and the audio on playback works fine.
If I do attempt to optimize or create proxy on import, the program crashes immediately.
If, for example, I would have taken those uncompressed files and ever so slightly compressed them (in Handbrake, iVi, etc) the resulting files would import and work perfectly. That is the way I'm forced to go now, but the uncompressed (which plays PERFECTLY in Quicktime and VLC right before importing to FCPX) looks so much better.
Any help anyone can shed on this would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
I get this crazy error report below.

I understand that H.264 is a compressed format, but the way I'm pulling the files from the source disc, I'm not compressing them in any additional manner. The program I am using (iVi from the App Store) has a Pass Through mode and essentially is re-wrapping them (if they are H.264 no video encode) and encoding audio.
I could try going straight to ProRes but the file sizes would astronomical and I'm not setup for that. A feature would be 135-150 gigs in 422. -

Study SAPHi,
The problem occurs when sender and receiver business system or business service does not have a logical system name.
ID - Integration Directory
Posting the IDOC'S into SAP R/3 System, sender and receiver business system or business service requires the logical system name. If the business system (Web As ABAP) does not have the logical system name, then add the logical system for business system.
In technical system browser
If business system type = Web AS ABAP, then add the Logical system in Technical System level and Save.
If business system type = Third-Party, then add the logical system in business system level and Save.
If the business service does not have the logical system name in ID, it needs to be configured as follows.
Check the below screen shot which shows how to add the logical system for business service.
Go to ID and click the Business service -> Services -> Adapter Specific Identifiers. Enter the logical system name and Save.
Apply and activate.
Hope this will help you.

Program Error- cannot open file? Please help! I lost my whole project!
When I try to open an animation psd file, I keep getting a box that says my request could not be completed due to a program error. The file is 23.7 MB and I am using a PC.... I at least need to get the file open so i can export the animation.
I don't personally know how to repair such a file, but I can suggest a utility that will be able to fetch an uncorrupted backup copy if it is in Window's Shadow copy.
http://shadowexplorer.com/ It's a free and easy to use utility. I personally have it.

Error message "Live file system repair is not supported."
System won't boot. Directed to Disk Utility to repair but get error message "Live file system repair is not supported." Appreciate all help.
Thanks.
JohnI recently ran into a similar issue with my Time Machine backup disk. After about 6 days of no backups - I had swapped the disk for my photo library for a media project; I reattached the Time Machine disk and attempted a backup.
Time Machine could not backup to the disk. Running Disk Utility and attempting to Repair the disk ended up returning the "Live file system repair is not supported" message.
After much experimentaion with disk analysis softwares, I came to the realization that the issue might be that the USB disk dock wasn't connected directly to the MacBook Pro - it was daisy-chained through a USB Hub.
Connecting the USB disk dock directly to the MBP and running Disk Utility appears to have resolved the issue. DU ran for about 6 hours and succesfully repaired the disk. Consequently, I have been able to use that Time Machine disk for subsequent backups. -
Oracle error "No message file for" after Upgrade to 10.2.0.5
After upgrade from 9.2.0.8 to 10.2.0.5 i get the following error "No message file for"
(with both Users sidadm and orasid)
Platform AIX 64 bit
The installation und Upgrade with dbua works fine.
DB and SAP runs after the Upgrade.
then I tried
SQL> select xx from v$log;
select xx from v$log
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00904: Message 904 not found; No message file for produstyle='font-
family:courier' ct=RDBMS,
facility=ORA; arguments: ["XX"]
The Environment is correct,
ORACLE_HOME,ORACLE_SID,PATH,LIBPATH have right Values.
I cant find any failure in Configuration or Install Logs.
So i tried the following:
Copy the complete Directorie /oracle/SID/102_64/rdbms/msg from a
10.2.0.4 Oracle Installation to the 10.2.0.5 home.
the result ist that the Messagefile could be read by Oracle an i get
the ORA-00904
Here the same Query:
SQL> select xx from v$log;
select xx from v$log
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00904: "XX": invalid identifier
So I do the same procedure with an other System.
I detect:
the Patch 9952230 (SAP_102051_201011/9952230) delivers
both Message Files oraus.msg and oraus.msb which caused the problem.
Has anyone the same Problem?
Are there any other Impacts with wrong Message Files .
I raised a OSS Call, but no answer till today.
best regards
UweI could not find anything is sap notes, but oracle recommends to update binary file oraus.msb in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/mesg

Edited by: 891355 on Nov 6, 2011 12:06 PMI found the installActions file in the installer folder and I think this could be the problem
INFO: The 'shiphomeproperties.xml' file is missing from shiphome location '/home/oracle/Desktop/database/install/../stage/products.xml.' Add this file to the 'Disk1/stage' directory of the shiphome.
though I am attaching the log file for more details do you think the installer is corrupt :(

Error reading wsdl file excepetion null
Hi
I am trying to invoke a proxy service (web service) wsdl from a bpel process. When i add a web service adapter, put url of external web service and save it, all my service end points defined in the BPEL process are becoming non editable. Binding of operation is changing from web service to HTTP binding for all end points. When I try to edit any partner link, Jdev throws an error " error reading wsdl file excepetion null " for local services. For external service, even though i am refering to a url on the server, it points to " C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\jdev\bin\...\xxxx?WSDL" and throws same error " failed to read wsdl file(System could not find the path specified". I am just clueless as to why this is happening. Any help is much appreciated.Try the SOA Forum - SOA Suite

\\Error Reading Rules File when dimbuild with DLR
Hi
I am using Essbase 11.1.2.1.
I create a DLR via the web console EAS (11.1.2.1 too) : a very simple one : dimbuild DLR, ";" as separator, 2 fields (parent and child)
when i try do do a "Update Ouline..." with a very simple file (1 line : accounts;test) I have this error message "\\Error Reading Rules File"
I don't know if it can help but if I create the same DLR on another 7.1 essbase serveur through this same wec eas console (11.1.2.1), I have no problem...
another information, too : my 11.1.2.1 server has a //ESS_LOCALE English_UnitedStates.Latin1@Binary ESSLANG. My 7.1 server has a //ESS_LOCALE French_France.ISO-8859-15@Default ESSLANG. I really don't know if there is a link, or absolutely not.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Fannyunable to load essmsh.exe : the error message seems to indicate that it is a problem with a path in the environment variables.
So if you say that the "Error Reading Rules File" is typically a path issue, all is probably linked!
The admin will probably correct that tomorrow : I let you know if it solves the problem!
Thanks!
Fanny
