Error opening any dreamweaver 8 help
Hi All,
I have a situation where Dreamweaver crashes when I try to
open any Help
from Help menu which is should to open *.chm file. The Error
message
keeps pop-up like this:
The exception Privileged instruction (0xc0000096) occured in
the
application at location 0x01928b55.
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
I'm using Dreamweaver 8.02 on WinXP Pro SP2 with IE7.
Any kind of help regarding this? I appreciate that.

Lots of errors opening CS2-please help!
I've been working just fine in CS2 for a long time. Now I get all sorts of errors when opening. The first one is: Execution halted. In Module: Bridge, Script File: c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe GoLive CS2\Modules\Extend Scripts\Bridge\Main.html. At line: 4 :var last Folder = null
Then, a whole series of errors ending with GoLive opening with a debugging screen on MenuMachine and module.folder.getAbsURL is not a function. If I open any files, I get more errors.
The only thing I did recently to GoLive CS2 was add Safari to the list of browsers. I've deleted Safari but this still happens. I found an earlier post by Nate Baldwin about Opera and tried to replicate the ideas in that to no avail. I'd appreciate any help!That's tomorrow's project. Hopefully, that will work. I have a frightening thought: Could copying a component that has a Menumachine menu to another site screw up everything? I sure hope not because I have absolutely no idea how to fix that. Acrobat will not open any documents, HELP! Thank you!
Adobe Acrobat will not open any documents, it tells me it is a trial, I click on license product and get a thank you for your Adobe Cloud subscription... but then when I try to open a pdf I get the same message it just keeps looping from trial will run out in 7 days to trial will run out in 13 days and I can never open a pdf. I am going to try and uninstall and reinstall. For most of us, not being able to open a pdf is comparable to not being able to work. This is totally UNacceptable. Clients and bosses are counting on my being able to do my job, I can't say to them, "Oh well the dog "Adobe" ate my homework." PLEASE fix this Adobe! Thank you.

I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled from Adobe Application Manager, thought all was great when it asked for my user name and password, then when I clicked Launch... same issue. FRUSTRATING! Any one have a fix? I even created a pdf using InDesign, made sure I had View PDF after exporting checked and still got that awful Trial box. The pdf did show up in my documents, but I can not open it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!Thank you Manish-Sharma, I followed the instruction in the thread, and for the first time in a week I can actually open a PDF. I am not sure if this will be a permanant fix, we will see on the 30 day mark. I really appreciate that you read my question and gave me an answer that allowed me to open Acrobat. I also opened Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and AfterEffects. They all opened with the exception of a small glitch when I opened Illustrator which was cleared up in moments. See screetshot.

Leopard Can't open any Image HELP!!
This is very weird, I've been working fine all these past days since I installed Leopard, but suddenly I am not able to open any image file (giff, tiff, jpeg, even Acrobat files) with my preview image or photoshop, it looks like the file is open, I mean, IT IS OPEN but I CANT SEE ANYTHING, when I click the window toolbar I see that the file is there, but I cant see anything, same thing happend with Photoshop, I see all the layers of the file, I see even the file in the navigator, but I cant see the file itself !!! help, thanks
Sorry that didn't work. Here are some other suggestions.
How big is your Hard Drive, and how much room is left on it? Apple suggests you leave at least 10-15% free at all times, or else weirdness may ensue.
What kind of Install of Leopard did you do? If you did the Upgrade, weirdness may ensue. Back everything up and Archive and Install (preserving all users) or, better, Erase and Install. You can use Time Machine for the backup and reinstall from it. I've done it, and it works.
Also, did you download the 10.5.1 update? If so, did you do it from Software Update (39MB) or Apple Downloads(110MB)? If you didn't install it, go to Apple Downloads and use that one for best results.

"Help" won't open any OSX help topics
Lately, I've been finding that when I search in the help, I can't open any of the OSX help topics. The Help either runs and runs and does not bring up any results, or, if an OSX topic is displayed, when it is clicked on, I am promptly brought back to the home of the Help section. This hasn't happend with any of the other program help sections. Can anyone give me any suggestions? I have the idea that maybe updating to 10.4.8 would fix this problem, but with a 56k dial up modem, this is made difficult.

ie you have told it the rpt file to load, and it can't find it.
1 - check the spelling of the filename
2 - where have you put the file?
3 - What is your config for this?
Do you have CRConfig.xml (Crystal 11) or CrystalReportEngine-config.xml(Crystal 10) in your WEB-INF/classes directory?
That file tells it where to find the rpt files.
I think the default is WEB-INF/lib for some reason.
I keep my reports in the WEB-INF/reports directory
Mine looks something like this:

i have to say: i can see now that you are working in standalone mode. therefore you're not authenticating against a server, therefore we can make no assumptions about the integrity of your content nor how you are moving content between systems...
i would be careful with your current practice, because you might find yourself corrupting files..

Error opening database, Plz help!
Dear Oracle Gurus,
I have been getting this error message today, and I dont know what steps to be taken.
SQL> alter database open;

ORA-16068: redo log file activation identifier mismatch
ORA-00312: online log 1 thread 1: 'D:\ORACLE\ORADATA\ORCL\REDO01.LOG'
I am not able to log in with any of the users except a sysdba like sys.
In other words, I am only able to log into the database thru sys but cannot perform any operations on tables or objects.
I am running Oracle 9i R2
Please help how to get rid of this problem.ORA-00312 online log string thread string: 'string'

hi ,
I am Anil, I am doing an application in java. it needs a browser as IE or Morzilla . i tried to implement the browser using jdic.
i add jdic.jar files as a external jar file and added it to my project. when i run the program in eclipse it works fine. when i want to create a jar file to my application it shows the follwing error..
when i click on that jar file , it shows a Java Virtual Machine Launcher dialog box and in that dialog box it shows error Could not Find the main class. Program will exit ..
this is the error.

I searched for this class, and it is supposed to be in uic.jar. However, when I opened that jar file it was not there. Did I set something up wrong, or is this a bug in jdeveloper?When I am trying to open a VO inside JDeveloper for editing. The issue appears only to be with the VO's, even the ones that were automatically created at the start of the tutorial. Other types of objects can be opened for editing without incident.

Adobe software is conflictive when you use Migration Assistant because their applications don't work properly after migration. If you keep the DVDs or the installers of your software, use them to reinstall all your Adobe applications and they should start working correctly
