Error Opening File

Apparently I am the only person in the world having this problem but so far speedgrade is working if I bring a file in from Premiere Pro but If I try to bring one from the desktop I get a placeholder graphic "error opening file" there are also no thumbs showing in the file view.(there are thumbs for the .thm files in the same folder)The files are .h264 mov's from a Canon T2i

to be clear - are those canon t2i mov's files that comes out from the canon directly, or do it went through any convert process?

Speedgrade is reading the thumbs directly out of the QT file, so THM files are not needed.
Please attache a screenshot from the Desktop Panel, when browsing to the clips, also a screengrab from the placeholder.

Java.util.zip ZipException Error Opening File

I have code that uploads a file in my strut then i change its extension to .zip and want to extract that file.
(please note that the file is create under zip and renamed as .xtr before upload, when user uploads it we change its name to zip. I am telling here so that u can see there s nothing wrong with the file. Soem how, I can also extract it from windows. )
when my code runs, and it tried to read entries in the enumeration, it says "error opening file". I am not posting the code because, I hve used many examples and it has nothing to do with the code.
My problem is as i mentioned above, my files` name is changed may be its handler doesnt quiet. more over i hve tried the code with upload a zip file. After upload it says the same.
Can any one provide me a clue to move around ??

and
Search failed with: netscape.ldap.LDAPException: error result (11); Administrative limit exceeded
Here is my configuration:
Windows 2000 server (without Active Directory)
SP4
Iplanet Messaging Server 5.2
Netscape Directory Server 4.16
IPlanet Messaging Server 5.2 Hotfix 1.09 (built Jan 7 2003)
We have a group which we use to flash messages to all the users of the mail server. Till last week it was working fine but now I am not able to send messages to this group <group-name>.
There are around 800 (Eight Hundred) E-mail id the messaging server and the flashed message is supposed to go to all 800 + users.
Note: I have another group of 300 users and I am able to send an E-mail to this group of 300 users.
I am using Dynamic Group for Members list.
The error message I get while trying to send message to this group is
SMTP Error: 4.5.0 error opening file/URL reference by alias.
The corresponding error in mail.log file is

Now when I construct and Test the LDAP URL from Console, the error I get is:
Search failed with: netscape.ldap.LDAPException: error result (11); Administrative limit exceeded
I have increased the various limits but I still get the same error when I send mail to that group or do a LDAP Test:
The deafult and new limits are:
Sizelimit: Default 2000 New 10000
Timelimit Default 3600 New 3600
Lookthroughlimit Default 5000 New 6000
The corresponding error entry in access log of slapd is:

My search for Administrative limit problem and error opening file/URL error in Sun forum and other groups did get some hits but that did not solve my problem.

My problem has been fixed.
Your suggestion was to increase the lookthrough limit. As you would have noticed in my posting that I had increased this limit to 6000 but that did not solve my problem. Today I increased this limit to 10000. And after that I did not get "administrative limit exceeded" error. Also I do not get "error opening file/URL reference by alias" error while sending E-mail to a particular group of 800+ ids.

JRE Command Line Install - Error Opening File Java3BillDevices.jpg

We are installing JRE using a command line script. We keep getting the following error. Is this a bug with the Installer package? Anyone know how to fix it?

JRE seems to install and work correctly, but the error is perplexing. We are of course installing with Administrative privileges. There are a bunch of posts on the interwebs about this, but nobody really seems to know how to fix it.

IE gives "Error opening file" for Sound while it runs fine on Chrome

Is there something with Adobe and IE compatibility ?
When I run a package in Chrome , my audio and video both work fine
Same package when run in IE , video runs fine but the sound gives "Error opening file"

What type of media file? Can you post a link to the problem page online?
HTML5 audio and video is supported by most browsers if you include the proper file types?

Hi Everyone,
I've just started using SpeedGrade, so I'm not particularly familiar with it, but I have managed to get it working in the past. However recently I am being presented with the following error message, no matter what I try.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the programming (including deleting the preferences folder from my Documents folder).
I have also tried accessing the files directly in SpeedGrade and through Premiere Pro.
The files I'm using are all Quicktime (.mov) files, 1280 x 720, 50fps. I have tried converting them to DPX Image sequences.
None of the above attempts have made any difference.
I am using a MacBook Pro (Early 2011) | 2.0GHz Quad-Core i7 | 4GB (2 x 2GB DDR3 1333MHz) | AMD Radeon HD 6490M | 1680 x 1050 Display, 32-bit colour.
I would greatly appreciate any support on this matter, as I am on a deadline to complete this project.

Having similar problems with SpeedGrade. Had been playing around with SG for a few weeks and it was working great and seemed to be a nice color grade solution so I decided to give it a go for a project I'm working on. Now, it doesn't open any movie files. I have Canon 7D footage and the same clips transcoded with Cineform in a separate folder that are found when browsing the desktop tab in SG. But recently, SG shows the files without thumbnails resulting in no clip previews and, any attempts to add clips to timeline shows "error opening file" in monitor panel. Also, all clips drop into the timeline with a duration of 1 frame. Of course all of my clips are much longer than one frame.
I am able to open, playback and edit any of these files with full functionality in Premiere Pro, Bridge, Quicktime, & Finder.
I am using MacBookPro Retina/ThunderboltDisplay.

Error opening file problem

Hello. I am trying to get my first podcast going. I am using Podbean and itunes. I had everything up and running but didn't have the image on it I had created. So, with the help of the forum, I went through Podbean and got it done...and the image shows up on itunes now.
BUT, now the podcast wont play (it did previously in both itunes and Podbean). It wont play on itunes and when I go to Podbean to play it says "error opening file."
Can anybody tell me what I can do to get it back? Or redo it? Thx!

There is no file at this address. These redirects are always a dodgy idea: iTunes is complaining that it can't find a file at the first URL, so the redirection may not be working for it even if there was a file at the second address. It's preferable to give it a direct URL to the file: but in any event you need to go looking for it as it's not where it should be.

Cannot download Flash Player 10 due to - Error opening file for writing: Flash10d.ocx

Hello all,
I am having difficulty installing Flash Player 10. I open it up, and only 10% of the download bar finishes before I get the message:
"Error opening file for writing:
C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10d.ocx"
I am running Windows Vista with Internet Explorer, although I'm not 100% sure which version of IE it is and haven't found out how to check. I have McAfee for security, but I have already tried disabling the Firewall with no success.
My computer is new, so there's a chance that it already has Flash Player 10 on it since it belonged to someone else before it came to me, but I don't know how to check that either.
Any suggestions?

I have an existing site with several html files that edge code displays an "error opening file... the file could not be read" alert on. These html files display fine, and open in my other text/html editors.

Error opening file - file is busy (delete) (-47)    Why?

I am trying to render and generate an animated GIF, in AE CS4.   When I kick off the render queue, I receive the following error:
"After Effects error: opening file: "<filename>" - file is busy (delete) (-47).     (3::130)
Per information in other threads/forums, I have changed my cache disks, changed the location that the output should go to (new folder, completely different disk),   I have shut down and restarted the program, again per other suggestions.
If I render as a Windows VIdeo (AVI) rather than an Animated GIF it works fine.
If I launch AE to "Run As Administrator", it works fine, and appears to render the Animated GIFs fine. My user account has admin privs, btw.
Seems that this might be a bug, since I can render anything BUT Animated GIFS without having to "Run As Admin".
Anyone else seen this?

Well, I was a bit early on the "Run as Admin" thing. The error is still happening.
I can consistently stop the error from happening by FIRST rendering as an AVI, and then SECOND rendering the same thing as the Animated GIF.
Very wierd.

Error opening file for writing when installing

I cannot install Flash on my Vista X64. I have tried running
the downloadable install and the online install. Any time I try to
run the install I get "error opening file for writing" when trying
to write C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\Flash9d.ocx.
I have uninstalled Fash first (it never worked anyway) and I
have rebooted. I even tried rebooting in Safe Mode but no matter
what I try, I cannot remove the existing Flash9d.ocx and installing
will not overwrite the existing file.
Even after uninstalling Flash and rebooting to safe mode,
Windows reports that flash9d.ocx is in use. So why is the file in
use after uninstalling?
Any help is appreciated.

Well, I finally figured out the problem with mine today. Of
course, I'd still like to know what nefarious purpose might be
involved with the Flash activeX file being loaded in memory even
after uninstall and reboot such that it cannot be removed from my
PC even in Safe Mode.
At least I got Flash working. I discovered that Flash was
disabled in IE.
In IE, go to Tools->Options->Programs and then Manage
Add-Ons. In my case, the ShockWave Flash Object was set to
disabled. I changed it to Enabled and I was able to install and use
Flash properly. Now I am just not sure I want to.
With the questionable practices of using the ActiveX control
even after uninstall, and making the file un-removable, along with
the extremely (in my opinion) dishonest practice of installing
Google Toolbar with Flash, I am hoping that Microsoft's Silverlight
puts Flash out of the market - and I'm no huge fan of Microsoft
either. With the new practices from Adobe, they are, in my opinion,
no better than any other spyware and malware purveyor on the market
- right up there with Napster and the dozens of follow-on products
that tricked users into installing unwanted software.

Error opening file, then opens

Frequently, when I click on a file to open it I get the error message below. It may be from any app - CAD, iWorks, OpenOffice, iPhoto. Sometimes I am inside the app, such as Keynote and use Open Recent Files, such as the example in the picture.
When I click on the file the second time, it usually opens. Sometimes the app opens, but not the file (blank screen). Another Open command then works. This has happend on the original motherboard and a brand new replacement board (same HD).

The reason I assumed, or asked, whether it was Windows-only is because of your use of the backslash character as the folder delimiter. To make the script cross-platform try the following:

I think you haven't used the <b>lower case</b> additoin to the parameter for file. This will enable you to put the file name in the lower case.
parameters: p_file type char70 lower case. " << LOWER CASE is required

Windows client - error opening file from OS X Server

We discovered, that some files cannot be read from windows applications via the server - Xserve 10.4.8 Server.
When we try to open files from applications (open dialog, or double click ) via the server, the apps stop reading with errors. These errors occour not with all files!
A copy of these files to the local Win-machines of course can be read.
But, using a normal Win XP machine as a "server" will work fine.
We use the latest Xserve and Software and Win XP-64 Clients with a 1000BaseT Network.
Is there a samba issue, or can we modify some settings?
This is really frustrating, because this was the reason why we bought the Xsever.
Can anyone help me?

The only thing I can offer you is a "me too".
I have the same issue, but it only appears in some applications. My guess is that the method the application uses to open files makes the problem appear; other applications the users are using do not have this issue.
