ERROR: Operation could not be completed.(kCFErrorDomainCFNetworkerror 302.)

I have a 3G phone and I am continually getting this message when trying to surf the web. I am on FIDO network and on the 3G data site. Half the time it is about as fast as a 28.8 modem connection. I have been in contact with FIDO tech support and they haven't been able to rectify the problem. Has anyone else had this message and if so did you get the fix?
PLEASE HELP!! This is the whole reason I got the Iphone was to Utilize the Web function.

I'm getting the same error message, but only when I access a certain site over the cellular network. If I access it via Wi-fi it works fine. The page in question is http://abominable.cc . What would cause this? It's just a simple Wordpress installation and the plugins are all disabled. Site is hosted on GoDaddy.
I'm using a 3G iPhone on the FIDO network.
I've tried resetting the network settings and soft-resetting the iPhone, but it doesn't help.
I'd just like to be able to administer the site from the road. It's very frustrating.

  • Server 2008 Pinter install error OPERATION COULD NOT BE COMPLETED (error 0x900f0214)

I downloaded the HP Universal printer driver for a LaserJet 4250dn network printer to our server running SERVER 2008 SP2.
I dowloaded the zipped executable files for both the PCL5 and PCL6 drivers to the desktop and ran the EXE to unzip the files. When I tried to run the INSTALL.EXE file (as an ADMINISTRATOR) for BOTH drivers, the following occurs:
    Answer YES to EULA
Select TRADITIONAL MODE (or DYNAMIC MODE - it doesn't matter - neither one works)
    Click INSTALL
Immediately I get the error OPERATION COULD NOT BE COMPLETED (error 0x900f0214)
    Click OK
    Click FINISH
This happens with both the PCL5 & PCL6 driver installations.
I activated FILE SHARING, PRINTER SHARING, and NETWORK DISCOVERY but did not solve the problem.
I was logged in as the Domain Administrator and the Local Admin also.
    Any suggestions?

  • Backup Error - Operation could not be completed. (OSStatus error -54.)

    Hi all,
I use the provided Backup software on my macbook (OS X 10.5.5).
I schedule some documents and email to backup each day. I use Microsoft Entourage for email.
This has all worked fine until the past couple of days (which I think is when I installed a Microsoft Office update).
When looking at the log, the error is:
Unable to copy /Users/xxxxxx/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/Main Identity/Database: Operation could not be completed. (OSStatus error -54.).
I'm guessing this could be some kind of permissions problem - can anyone advise how to resolve it?
The database file is 350mb if that makes any difference.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Hal

I've had exactly the same message, (but with OSStatrus error -36) which is cutting short a backup (using Backup) of my home folder from my iBook G4 to the HD of my intel iMac both running Leopard.
It has happened three times after about an hour or so and I've never been able to complete a backup, which I desperately need to do before I run a complete erase and reinstall of my iBook.
Does anyone have suggestions of what's going wrong here?

  • QuickTime Error: Operation could not be completed. (OSStatus error -2125.)

    Hello there,
I have recovered data from a bad disk and would like to save it as a movie with QuickTime. But it is always giving me this error message at the end, almost before it finishes saving the file:
The movie "Caribou_migration4" could not be saved.
Operation could not be completed. (OSStatus error -2125.)
Does anyone know why is this happening and what can I do. If I don't resave this video, I am not able to use it / or import it to Final Cut Pro!! Help!
    Thank you

    Hello,
Err -2125 means "File offset too big".
Something is wrong in the movie file, for sure.
It's not a surprise given that you've recovered it from a bad disk.
Your file can probably be repair by my "Movie Repair Service".

  • Error - Operation could not be completed.

I am running an AMD quadcore with 8 gb of memory and windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. The photoshop version is cs5 and I installed pixelBender 2.2 with extension manager running in admin mode. It installed successfully and told me to retsart  PS which I did. when I select the PixelBensder Gallery all I get is a dialog error box that says "Operation could not be completed". I have read through the forum posts and have not seen this problem reported. Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this error. Thanks. MLS

You should be able to run the CS5 plugin no matter whether the "Enable OpenGL Drawing" checkbox is enabled. The fact that you had to "Enable OpenGL Drawing" to get the plugin to work is odd. In any case, I'm glad the plugin is working for you now. Happy filtering.

I Rented a movie and when I press "Watch" it asks if I want to play it, Press OK and I get the message"The operation could not be completed".  Home sharing is on, mirroring is on...It briefly shows the remote control screen then the Rented Movie screen comes back on with the Error message displayed.  help!

  • Capture Error- Operation could not be completed as there is no video.

Hi. I'm using Final Cut Express HD 3.5.1 and I seem to have a problem importing video. I successfully imported one DV tape (out of several for a film project I'm working on) using the DV-NTSC Easy Setup.
I use a Canon Optura 40 camera connected via a Fire Wire 400 cable. The cord runs straight from the camera (where it has a 4-pin connector) to the computer. As a longtime iMovie user I followed all the proper procedures - the camera is in VTR mode the tape is ready to go.
Now, Device Control says "VTR" OK and the playback controls in the program actually control the tape. Everything seems right so far. But when I click "Capture Now" in FCEHD it says, "This operation could not be completed as there is no video." What's more is that FCE freezes up (processing cursor) until I take the camera out of VTR mode.
Apple reccomends using the Fire Wire Basic Easy Setup. I've tried that. It still doesn't work.
Another curios note - iMovie seems to have the same problem, which I've never encountered until I've tried to use the camera with this computer - I'm running on a recently purchased MacBook Pro (2.33 GHz, 2 GB RAM) off of an external hard drive (G-Drive 7200 RPM 500 GB).
    I am stumped.
    Can anyone lend a hand?

So, I tried sending the camera into the FireWire 400 Port on the back of my external HD and I still got the same problem in FCE.
Here's what's really interesting - it will import into iMovie with the new setup.
Whenever my camera is in VTR mode and the Capture Screen is even just OPEN in FCE, the computer freezes until I take the camera out of VTR mode.
I'm really stumped. If I would have to install new components inside of my laptop I might just vie for loading the footage into iMovie and transferring it (if there's no loss of quality. Is there?) but I'm still hopeful for a simple solution to getting FCE to recognize the camera.
I can't really load the footage into my Mac's HD because it's not big enough. I have a video project with about 12 DV tapes of footage, and my internal HD definetely couldn't hold that.

  • Moved Bridge location; Error operation could not be completed

So I recently installed a 120 gb ssd to be used for my startup files. I installed leopard, upgraded to 6.8, downloaded and installed lion, couldn't properly back up from a time machine back up or a migration so just started over and moved all my files over, (applications, libraries, system and bootup), keeping my music, movies and pictures on my main 500 gb. I also did a clead install of CS5 suite but Bridge is still a no go with the response that the operation could not be completed. I've looked around on these forums and have found that this comes up when you move the adobe applications. However I still have not found a soloution so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a unibody late 2009 white Macbook.

Don't quit understand your configuration, you mean you did manage to build 2 HD in your MacBook?? or do you use the SSD in the MacBook and the 500 GB as external?
However, moving libraries and system software instead of install again is usually not the best idea...
You should first try to back up custom settings for PS like tools, actions and other presets. Then use the PS help menu to deactivate permanently and use the uninstaller for PS to uninstall it. Maybe even use the clean tool for PSCS:
    http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
And it would not be a bad idea also to use the leopard install disk again to restart from and then use the option to install and archive the system again. This does not take long and creates a whole new library while making a back up of your old one. Use the software update (it will present you the combo update to 6.8) to get the latest updates.
Then try again to install PS and I would think you should be OK.

  • Bridge sc6 MAC- ERROR! operation could not be completed-lock up

When I attempt to use Bridge 6  from PS6, I get the ERROR! Operation Could not BE completed, and bridge starts Building Critera and hangs. Can only quit usung a forced quit. I un-installed and re-installed PS, did not help. ANy ideas,
    Thank you

    Hi Curt:
I really appreciate your quick reply. I did the reset from my Bridge Icon in the application folder and checked al the boxes in the window, when I clicked OK, Bridge opened and then I got the ERROR-Operation Could Not Be Completed. Bridge displays "Building Criteria" this does not stop and Bridge becomes totally unresponsive and does not allow me to Quit. The only way I can quit is "forced Apple Quit". I have the latest updates which I double checked this morning after uninstalling and re-installing PS6.
    I'm still stumped.

Hi there :) I bumped in your thread looking for a similar answer to a similar problem with Premiere Pro cs 2
I was on 2 gb ram and went to buy 2X2 gb, trying to resolve my low memory problemssss!
My system info now shows 2gb physical memory and 3gb available, does this mean that I'm using 3gb? (yes I bought one 2gb for nothing :(, but learnt something!
I did not know about the switch in boot ini and I'm not too sure how to go about it, I wonder also if it's the same with PP2.
thank you anyway for the questions and answers

  • Error while consolidating. The operation could not be completed.

Error while consolidating. The operation could not be completed. Cocoa error 13. (null)
Got this when I was trying to consolidate some referenced photoshop files. If failed to create a new version as well when I tried to open the files in Photoshop. I rebuilt the the library and it displays and exports both masters and version just fine, but it won't let me consolidate the master to the library.
    What gives?

I think that error was due to the fact that I hadn't upgraded MAC OSX after installing it. I have done that now and now I get another error saying the masters are offline.
I found this old thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1965601?start=0&tstart=0 which seems to be the same problem. This is a whole other topic so I will start a new thread, but leave this in case anyone gets the same problem as me. Upgrade your OSX. That's the solution :-)

  • Error 8062 when I try to copy or move files on my macbook: "This operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8062)". Can even not install new software now!!

Since a few days when I try to copy or move files on my macbook, I often get an error message saying "This operation could not be completed because an unexpected error occured (error code -8062)". And then it just quits the copy or move.
I searched a lot on the internet, but only found solutions for cases you cannot empty the trash due to this issue.
I tried those solutions for my trash and that helped after some trying.
However, I still have the problem with copying and moving files.
I even cannot install new software now, as it has to copy itself to the programs-directory, and gives the same error-message.
    Who can help me??
Cannot seem to find any info on it on the support-forums or elsewhere.
    My user-account is administrator, I use a 13" Macbook Aluminium (Late 2008). Mac OS X 10.6.8 CPU 2Ghz Intel Core Duo, RAM: 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Tips I received so far (thanks to A-Mac via Twitter http://www.a-mac.nl and Remco Kalf http://www.remcokalf.nl/)
    - make sure you have at least 10% of your harddisk in free space (I had only 5%).
    - do a PRAM-reset (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379)
    - perform a hardware test (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509)
    - make a complete backup (with for example Carbone Clone Copier, see http://www.bombich.com/)
    - after complete backup: use diskwarrior (boot from Diskwarrior DVD, first perform diagnostics, then perform "Rebuild" which rebuilds your file directory).
So far I only cleared up some space on my HD, and already the problem occurs less.
Still, I will go through the other tips too.
    (will post progress)
