Error ORA-00600 internal error code during compilation of forms 6i
Hi Dears:
I have recently migrated my Oracle 9i database to Oracle 10g(10.2.0.2). Now when I recompile any of my 6i forms, the error occurs as below:
ORA-00600 internal error code, arguments: [17069], [60658452], [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ],
NOTE:
1. queries run fine in SQL Plus.
2. Already compiled forms (fmx) run fine.
Please help me to resolve the problem.

Hi
u should specify what u were trying to do while getting this object.
u need to install the latest Forms 6i path 17 to fit for the new db 10g.
if u have access to MetaLink there u can down load it easily...
if u have a db link then i suggest creating a view or public synonym and give the user all the privilages require on the new db connected to form 6i while connecting or accessing to previous user with old db.

Edited by: KVR on Oct 15, 2008 10:03 AMTheres plenty of notes about ORA-00600... all depending on what is you Oracle version and what was running when the crash happen.
If it was during the night maybe the system was updating statistics then you can check SAP Note 365421 ORA-00600 [1113] when generating statistics

I'm trying to open the database but it's not working as I expect . Then I created the controlfile and restart the database but I've got the same error
SQL>Alter database open;

Solution : As in above case, I have started the database in mount and then alter it to the open mode but it doesnot work out. After some analysis ,troubleshooting and googling, we have decided to flush the shared pool component of the SGA . So, we have started the database in mount stage and then flush the shared pool and further alter it to open stage . Below are the steps performed to solve this issue .
SQL> shut immediate
ORA-01507: database not mounted
ORACLE instance shut down.
C:\>set ORACLE_SID= royalton
C:\>sqlplus sys/xxxxxxxx@royalton as sysdba

Hi guys,
I am trying to use XML feature of Oracle DB. What I am trying to implement is having XMLTYpe field in table and have some values in it and then query that table using XMLQuery(...). I started with example here : http://www.psoug.org/reference/xmlquery.html .
I am able to create table, Insert data into table, but when I tried to run SELECT query it does not work

Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production. so as per you said it should work. I am sorry for being dumb, but I am not DBA guy. can you tell me how to check if XMLDB is installed properly? how can I look at DBA_REGISTRY and what kind of information I will find under DBA_REGISTRY?
BTW I found another way of querying XMLType columns from here http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/appdev.920/a96620/xdb04cre.htm which uses extract(), existsNode(), etc.. function to accomplish some of the task. As of now I am still digging in it, so not sure which one will be better to use. I mean the link that I showed on my first thread or the above link.
I am still curious why wouldnt my first thread query work.

If your machine is not on the most recent patchset, you might try patching the database. Many ORA-00600 errors are resolved by patchsets. Note that access to Metalink or to patchsets requires that you have a support contract with Oracle.
Also, please be aware that technical questions should be posted to one of the technical forums (Products | Database | Database - General in this case).

I am getting the above error when I try to execute a simple select against a Oracle 9i database. My connection pool is defined below:

Defined in my classpath is a reference to the current classes12.zip file for Oracle 9i drivers.
The Server has either Oracle 8 or Oracle 9 client. Is perhaps this an issue?

The error you are getting is an Oracle DB error and not TopLink error.
Log into the DB using scott / tiger -> Add / Update existing tables from database -> Select the EMP table.
Do you still have problems?
Using the same login you provided TopLink, can you log into SQLPLUS (on the same machine you installed TopLink) and get your table?
Which JDBC driver are you using?

I found out that in my esql file, if I have "intersection" keyword, I will get the 00600 error. If I don't have the "intersection", but have "relate", "area" keywords, the program works.

I finally know where causes the error but still don't know how to solve.
If I include one of the BOLDED areas, it will lead to the error. It seems that it doesn't like "intersection" (?)

I am getting the error above when I try to do an sqlexec statement against Oracle. I have weblogic 6.1 service pack 1 and i have Oracle 9.i. I have a connection pool defined as:

URL: jdbc:oracle:thin:@WLo1.vtmednet.org:1521:wlo1
Driver Classname: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
I have the latest classes12.zip in my classpath. I am on AIX 4.3.3 and my LIBPATH points to $WL_HOME/lib/aix/oci816_8. Could somebody points me out in the right direction?

program using the oracle driver directly... If you are using the thin driver, then the LIBPATH
isn't used. You should also download the latest thin driver from oracle and put it in front
of all weblogic stuff in the server's classpath. The new driver is better than the one we ship.

What is the problem in apps? during which operation you are getting this error? be clear in your question.
The solution, I believe may be something to do with tempfiles, so drop the tempfiles and recreate it as:
SQL> alter database tempfile < path of the tempfile > drop;
Then recreate it
SQL> alter tablespace < temp tablespace name > add tempfile < path of the tempfile> size < size which you want > reuse;

at starting up of database, database is up and running no issues till then
I found MOS doc 786443.1...
As mentioned in the Doc to drop and create temporary tablespaces...
i added another temp tablespace and make it default temporary tablespace and tried to delete the old one it returns the error:ORA-1013 signalled during: drop tablespace temp1..
i have two tempfiles temp1 and temp2 under tablespace group temp
please advise how to delete the tablespace group

ORA-00600 is internal error which means if error retry then you take support from oracle, Pelase check Note:Troubleshoot an ORA-600 or ORA-7445 Error Using the Error Lookup Tool [ID 153788.1]
Put your version and your error and look up error, it will bring you some document, check them and if they are not useful for your i strongly suggest log a Sr for your issue
