I created and trying to run a form on Jdev 10g (10.1.2.1.0). the following error occurs: (oracle.job.NameClashException) JBO-25001: Name LocationsView1Iter of object type Iterator Binding Definition aready exists.
Pls help me. I'm new in Jdeveloper

When we create a field from VO on JSP (by drag drop), Jdev automatically creates iterator for that, but if you delete that field later, Iterator never deletes.
I think yours is the same case
so you need to delete iterator manually.
Click on the JSP and go to structure palate, Under UIModel tab, select the iterator and delete it.

Possible Cases for your problem is:
Can you check whether are you using oracle.jbo.RowSetIterator to Iterate through the View Object Rows: Something like this:
oracle.jbo.RowSetIterator rowSetIter = vo.createRowSetIterator("pathIter");
If so after performing all the steps of iterating through the View Object then close the RowSetIterator using, rowSetIter.closeRowSetIterator();
or Can you check if you are creating two RowSetIterators with the same name ex:
oracle.jbo.RowSetIterator rowSetIter = vo.createRowSetIterator("pathIter");
oracle.jbo.RowSetIterator rowSetIter = vo.createRowSetIterator("pathIter");

I am new to java and jdeveloper. I have been trying to execute a stored procedure from a button created in a page.
I executed the store procedure outside the form it worked but do know how to execute it from a commandbutton.
I created a Data Control from a java method (i.e from Check_ProcessDate.java) then created an ADF Parameter Form dragging

it seems to indicate that the metadata detected the same name being used twice. Note that while in Java you can have overloaded methods, in ADF bindings you can't. So just in case the POJO you use to create the DataControl uses overloaded methods, rename one of them

Hi, while extending EO, we are getting error "oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002: Definition oracle.apps.icx.por.schema.server.XXTBPoRequisitionLineEO of type Entity Definition not found". We have placed class and xml files in respective folder, imported customization and bounced the system but still error did not go. Kindly help to trace the issue.
Can you elaborate how you deployed your custom code, were steps documented here followed ? Did you create a ADF library jar and copy it over to the application lib directory ? Please provide the exact steps done for deployment.

I use uix for my application (generated with JHeadstart).
Now I have one problem, and this problem is very strange. One of VOs throws exception after commit changes. First time it was error
(oracle.jbo.ReadOnlyAttrException) JBO-27008: for atribute mgrList
at oracle.jbo.AttrValException.<init>(AttrValException.java:112)
at oracle.jbo.ReadOnlyAttrException.<init>(ReadOnlyAttrException.java:40)
at oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowImpl.setAttribute(ViewRowImpl.java:815)
at oracle.jbo.jbotester.JboTesterUtil.setData(JboTesterUtil.java:173)
Then I setted updateable property of MgrList attribute to always and now i have this error:
oracle.jbo.domain.DataCreationException: JBO-25009: Cannot create an object of type:java.util.List with value:[{}]
I don't know why, but all worked fine yestarday.
I think that this is not view project problem. Because the same problem appear on the other pages (oracle.jbo.ReadOnlyAttrException: JBO-27008:) and when i test model project with bc4j tester today. But all this pages and data model worked correctly before and i did not edit this.
And this problem look like the bug. Because this error must appear for attributes which are always updatable and when i do not update it.
Maybe you can tell me how to solve this problem, please.

When the Page is first Rendered, the Org Name (LOV) Field is populated on the screen,and OrgId (form value) is also populated with it.
(this is a create screen and Org is populated with the Default Org name and ID)
Case 2 : With we have Extended EO
(we havent generated the EOImpl of extended EO so we cannot possible write any custom code to insert/ update any of the attrubutes.
This Case gives an error as mentiond in my previous mails. -

Problem is that the record i queried for update doesn't have a value for one of the primary keys. It doesn't show in the error because the PK values shown are the values that I am trying to set.
Resolution: Removed the PK tag for the null attribute. -

I am deploying a BC4j application in Oracle9iAS.I have a JSP application for Business Component in local mode.I have added the Business component jar and the connection.properties file in the classpath by modifying the jserv.properties file.Still when I run my JSP application,I get the error "oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-33003: Connection name DBConnection not defined" .
Please let me know besides putting the connection.properties file in the classpath,what else needs to be done.

I am using jDeveloper 3.2.3. I have a business component application which I deployed as simple jar file.This resulted in two jar files to be created -
1.Application.jar
2.ApplicationCommonCS.jar
These jar files had the connection.properties file and bc4j.xcfg included, and then I put them in the jserv classpath.
Then I created a JSP application for this Business component application and while deploying,I deployed it as a simple jar file and included the connection properties.The resultant jar file had both connection.properties file as well bc4j.xcfg . Next I put this jar also in the classpath of jserv .
Then I restarted the 9iAS and when I ran the JSP application,I still got the error "oracle.jbo.JboException: JBO-33003: Connection name DBConnection not defined".
Please let me know hot to deploy the business component application and how to deploy the JSP application and what other settings need to be done.

This happens to us when we forget to check-in all of our files in CVS. For example when we have changes on the Association and so normally we would only commit the Association XML and forget to commit the participating Entities' xml on CVS.
yeah. To fix this, take note of the Entity that was specified on the NameClashException. For example if the entity specified on the exception is "TheEntity", search for it on the Model Project.
Witht the model project active, choose Search->Find in Files menu and type in the
"TheEntity". You should find the xml that had duplicate values for "TheEntity". Usually its a Entity.xml or a Association.xml.
When you find the xml. Click on the source xml which is read-only. But by clicking on its History tab, you should edit the xml files appropriately. -

Using the Debug procedure,I am inserting the debugmessages into table.
It is inserting all the debug messages correctly.
If I delete the api hook call using hr_api_hook_call_api.delete_api_hook_call, and then do the transaction it is not dispaying any error.

It gives me an error as "oracle.jbo.AttrValException: JBO-27019: Get method for attribute "comp_info" in LinesVO_HeaderLinesVL_LinesVO could not be resolved.
I have added the getter and setter as well in the RowImpl.java file but still its givn this error.
I need to add many more columns after this error is solved.
I tried all permutation n combination but all in vain.
Any help on this would be highly appreciated.

Writing getter/setter methods manually is not a good idea, when jdev provides u that facility. Moreover in ur case i m getting a feeling as if ur VO mappings are corrupted. Can u try one thing ,assuming this is a custom VO,Delete the VO from the project and delete all related files in myclasses and my projects.Recreate the VO with all the attributes and try if same error is coming.
