Error packet

how handling the errors in PL/SQL in order to show the errors from a packet
thanks

Can you restate the question? I'm not sure how PL/SQL errors, which result in exceptions that can be caught in PL/SQL blocks or returned to the client, relate to "errors from a packet" which seems network-related...

    Hi jahjaman
    It sounds like you might need to give your network a call and check that you actually have GPRS packet data enabled on your phone.

  • What causes "nge0: Receive length field error Packets" errors?

    Can anyone help me identify what would be causing this error message?
    I am getting these on the console about every 2 minutes whether I am actively using the network or not. The system is serving up 1 NFS mount., but errors continue even if no one is connected.
    I'm running Solaris 10 on a Sun Ultra-20 workstation. The machine is attached to a small D-Link 10/100 switch along with a 6 other systems in my office.

    Pull the source code from Info-Zip.org and have a look.  (It's no small tool, and figuring out where this is percolating up lilkely won't be easy.)  I'd guess that the 4608 value is some random "garbage" value that's being returned for some error path that's been triggered; that code is not a valid macerrors.h error value, either.
    Philosophically, this is a losing battle.  Errors get added, bugs get introduced, and bugs get slain, and every so often a lower-level error percolates up somewhere.  Capture the specific errors you need to deal with, and get out for the rest.  If it's a zero, you're good.  Otherwise, I'd suggest "Leaving, what a good idea" – print appropriate diagnostics and exit the script.
    FWIW, you might get some better control by adding the files to the zip archive one at a time.  Dumping out the ls -ale@ output for each file might also help when debugging, if something goes sideways.

    ICMP type 5 is a redirect message. Is there a different path that exist from 172.29.135.31 to 172.29.131.15 ?
    Is 172.29.131.15 the firewall? 172.29.131.3 is a L-3 device on the inside?

  • Packet Errors?

    I just signed-up for ClearWire. So far, it's working great and much faster than my regular DSL (I had 768Mbps but now have 1.5Gbps). Because I live in an Apartment building where I can see eight other wireless networks, I have a WPA2 (Personal) password on my AirPort Express. I have the light enabled to display network activity and previously with the regular DSL, I used see some activity that I couldn't explain. Now with the ClearWire modem attached the activity light is going absolutely bonkers. It appears that I'm downloading constantly even if I turn AirPort off all the computers here. I can check with the AirPort Management Utility and it appears that only my computers are connected (when turned on). I called ClearWire support and they said I'd have to check my router's manufacturer to explain the local network activity and could not confirm that the ClearWire modem was kind of "chatty" on the local network. In fact, they had no way to tell if any outside activity (leaving the LAN) was happening through my modem.
    While I'm not overly concerned about the activity light now, while checking the AirPort Management Utility just now, I noticed that under my Monitor tab, the Rx Packets errors on my MacBook are approximately 15 times greater than the actual normal packets. For example, if I have 100,000 normal packets, my (errors) are (1,500,000). Should I be concerned about this? Anyone know why this might be happening or how to fix it? Any advice before I call ClearWire support back? I will admit, I never noticed the errors with my regular DSL, but I did check in the AirPort Management Utility every once in a while and I think they would have stood out.
    -Doug

    I would definately agree with you that the number of error packets you're experiencing is way too high. Might it be the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) setting is not optimized with your new ISP?
    To do so, you can use a utility, like Cocktail or via OS X's Terminal.
    As you probably already know, MTU will vary with connection type. Cable and non-PPPoE, can use up to 1500, whereas PPPoE connections (WinPoet, RASPPPOE, Enternet, etc.) can only use up to 1492.
    The best value for MTU is that value just before the packets get fragmented. To test, use the Ping utility.
    OS X: ping -D -s 1472 www.dslreports.com
    WinXP: ping -f -l 1472 www.dslreports.com
    Reduce 1472 by 10 until you no longer get the “packet needs to be fragmented” error message. Then increase by 1 until you are 1 less from getting the same error message. Add 28 more to this (since your ping packet size, not including IP/ICMP header is 28 bytes). This will be your MaxMTU. (Note: If you can ping thru at 1472, stop, you’re done! Add 28 and your MaxMTU is 1500.)

  • Applet won't load, packet missing data?

    I know this basic question gets asked a lot, but I have debug info!
    Here's the setup:
    - Simple HelloWorld applet on a Slax Linux system, Apache2 server
    - Clients are win 2000 and win 98 machines, IE and Firefox
    html code:
    <html>
    <body>
    <center>
    <h1> Applet Test 6 </h1>
    <applet code="helloapp" width="320" height="320" codebase="."></applet>
    </center>
    </body>
    </html>applet code:
    import javax.swing.JApplet;
    import java.awt.Graphics;
    public class helloapp extends JAppplet
       public void paint(Graphics g)
          g.drawRect(0,0,getSize().width-1,getSize().height-1);
          g.drawString("helllo",5,15);
    }What happens:
    - applet runs fine in appletviewer
    - type in <ipadr>/Hello.html on win PC
    - the html loads, waits for between a few seconds to tens of seconds
    - get applet notinited error
    - on the win 98 machine the Java applet loading logo shows up briefly
    - end up with the dreaded box with 'X'
    - I did get it to work the other day after adding 'classpath="."' to the <applet> code, but that doesn't seem to help now. class and html are in the same directory.
    - I have tried class="helloapp" and class="helloapp.class" in the <applet> code
    Debug info:
    - Java console says helloapp.class not found, and sometimes an EOF error
    - packet sniffer shows (leaving out, ACKs, SYNs) (pc -> linux) :
    -> request fro html
    <- html code delivered
    -> request for helloapp.class
    <- deliver helloapp.class (SEE NOTE BELOW)
    -> rerequest helloapp.class
    <- redeliver (SEE NOTE)
    -> finally sends RST flag
    NOTE: these packet looks right except I don't see any data. It's 372 bytes long but it says it has a content of 532 bytes of data:

    Questions:
    - Am I right in not seeing data (the applet code) in the packet above - it should be there right?
    - Could something in the Apache configuration prevent it from sending the applet data? I did set the permissions in the configuration file.
    - Any other way to debug this?
    - The fact it worked the other day and not now is perplexing. The linux I am running is a live version, so I have to reconfigure each time I start it. I have to think the problem is there as that is the only thing that has changed since the other day....

    Here's a partial answer. I found that if the data load in the packet was over 256 bytes, it would fail. I a able to create an empty applet of 192 bytes that would load. I figured out the 256 byte number using wget and some text files. So I guess it's not an applet problem, but maybe an Apache problem.

  • Error in sending MMS

    Dear all,
    I need your help & expertise. I am using Nokia N97. My problem is I can't send MMS (photos) from my downloaded photos..and error come up. "Error: Packet data connection not available."
    Is it we only can send the photos from captured photos?? Correct me if i am wrong. Even I try to use the downloaded photos to my contact also can not.

    Well I don't quite get what you are saying Allan as I get a message when someone sends me a MMS from them saying to go to "viewmymessage.com to view that message".
    When someone sends you an MMS, the MMS needs to be addressed to an email address for an email account that you access with the iPhone's mail client. The sender of the MMS will enter your email address for this email account in the To: field for the MMS instead of your cell phone number with area code. The MMS will be received by you as an email with the photo as an email attachment.
    The sender can't use this email address - ***********@mms.att.net), which includes your cell phone number with area code because the iPhone does not include an MMS client. Do you access this email address as an email account with the iPhone's mail client? No, but you do access an email account with the iPhone's mail client. The sender needs to address the MMS to an email address for an email account that you access with the iPhone's mail client.

  • TCP out of order packets

    Hi,
    We are getting TCP out of error packets while sending requests to outside. Though we can access the internet and also connectivity is fine. But some of the application is not working due to this error, specially TCP based application as on the remote side they are not accepting two requests from our network. That means two requests are going from our network with each of the request sent to outside network.
    We have 4-5 vlans and intervlan routing is configured. Could somebody pls. let me know the reason of this and how can I solve this problem?
    Thanks,
    Pawan

    Good mornning.
    We have many application similar to the case you have explained.
    Our links use satelite connection and the delayare between: 600 msec to 1000 msec.
    Delays over 1000 msec generates delay and connectivitiy problems with tcp applications.
    What is the delay between your endpoints ?
    Do you have access to internet router ? so can you tell us if there are packets drops in the interfaces ?
    Waiting your answer.

  • OSB Business service not returning error payload

    Hello,
    I have some RESTful services in the OSB 10.3. On an HTTP error, the business service reads the error code (for example http error code 500) and it returns it to the proxy service. But the message of the error seems not to be read at all. How can I do that?
    Thanks!

    I don't get any error message. I'l rephrase:
    I work with REST (Any XML service). My BusinessService calls an external RESTful webservice, and this external webservice returns an HTTP packet like this (more or less):
    PACKET BEGIN:
    HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
    Date: Wed, 29 Sep 2010 13:37:50 GMT
    Content-Length: 0
    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><Error><Message>There was a blablabla error on our side. Sorry.</Message></Error>
    PACKET END.
    I am able to propagate such an HTTP error code by using an insert in the ErrorHandler, but I am not able to propagate the XML message that is being returned to me. It is not found anywhere, I checked all he variables $body, $fault, etc.
    Does the OSB BusinessService read this payload at all or should I implement a custom callout procedure because of this?

  • ACE Rst Packets

    Hello Everyone,
    I have ACE10 Module in my switch core 6509, my context "Proxy" was criated for balance connections to Forefront TMG Servers, this balance needs original client IP Address connections end to end in the solution.
    My problem is: The clients are complaining of slowness connection to the internet, i captured the traffic in the ace capture feature and i see some RST packets and severals checksum error packets in pcap file.
    The topology is:

    Vlan 80 is in L2 mode(no interface vlan in the switch core 6509, route occurs through the ace appliance).

    Hi Rafael,
    Are RST's coming from ACE? What if you access the server directly? If you could raise a TAC case we would do in-depth analysis of the problem.

    Any clue as to why these are logs are appearing?

    All,
    Here's a quick blurb from a document I've been working on which helps to explain this specific error message:
    An error code of 7 will be returned by the NHS when an error occurs when processing the packet which is not associated with any of the other NHRP error codes. According to RFC2332, triggers for the error code include invalid version numbers, invalid protocol types, and failed checksums. This error is commonly seen if the NHS receives a Resolution Request for an IP address which it does not have an entry for in its NHRP cache. For example, if a DMVPN spoke tries to send traffic to a spoke IP address which is not registered with the hub, the hub will return an NHRP Error Indication with the Protocol Generic Error specified.
    To troubleshoot this condition, you should collect the following on both the hub and spoke routers:
    show ip nhrp
    debug nhrp
    debug nhrp packet
    Collecting the debugs will show you the exact NHRP packets which are being sent and received, which may give you an indicate as to what is prompted these errors to be return. Keep in mind that the debugs can be quite chatty and significant NHRP traffic may cause the debugs to impact the router performance.
    HTH,
    Frank

  • 6021 Subscribe to packet data for Vodafone contrac...

    Can anyone help me? I'm trying to get my Nokia 6021 to bluetooth connect to my HP Ipaq 2210. My phone is on a contract basis with Vodafone and I keep getting the error "please subscribe to packet data" when the two pieces of hardware connect. I can browse the web on my mobile but it will not allow my phone to connect to the IPAQ. Currently the active access point is set to "internet", which I think is incorrect but I don't know what else it should be!!? Vodafone have been no use!!! I'm running out of options. Thanks for any help.

    I have the same problem attempting to connect with an iPAQ (hx4700) via a 8800 to GPRS and it constantly makes the bt connection, shows the big "G" top LHS for a short while and then gives error "packet data access point not valid". My Service Provider is O2.
    The bluetooth connection seems fine, and I can successfully use my laptop with bluetooth via the 8800 to GPRS but I cannot figure out why on earth the iPAQ keeps provoking this error message on the Nokia 8800. Has anybody had the same trouble and found a solution?
    FYI the PC Suite between the laptop and 8800 works fine (with the exception of MESSAGES which keep duplicating and for which i have given up trying to find a solution. Nokia is not much help.

  • WAP4410N wireless traffic locks up even when running latest firmware update

    I maintain multiple buildings, and each building has anywhere between 1 and 4 Cisco/Linksys WAP4410N access points. The problem is that at random intervals, the access points just stop sending and receiving wireless traffic. Every day or two, I have to log into every single access point (either via HTTPS or SSH) and reboot them in order for them to start working again.
    In short, here are the config details:
    They are all version 2 hardware (either WAP4410N-A V02 or WAP4410N-E V02).
    They are running IPv4 (IPv6 is disabled) and get static IP addresses via DHCP.
    When there are WAPs with overlapping signals, each WAP is on a different non-overlapping channel (1, 6, or 11).
    Each WAP has two SSIDs (with spaces in their names). One is secured with WPA2. The other is unsecured.
    There are two VLANs on the Ethernet interface. Each of the two SSIDs are assigned to a separate VLAN.
    There is a DHCP server on the network, so the WAPs do not actually assign IP addresses to clients.
    All of the WAPs are running on PoE switches. However, some are gigabit and some are 10/100 switches. Brands vary (Dell and Linksys) and models vary.
    Cisco finally recognized this issue as:
    CSCtx62203—In certain environments and traffic model, the WAP4410N may lockup after some undetermined time. Workaround: Reboot the device.
    As such, the workaround didn’t really offer anything new. Rebooting every WAP ends up being a very time consuming process. It’s awful. And since you have no control over when this issue surfaces and can’t put any safeguards in place, I get calls about it at various points of the day almost every day.
    Supposedly the most recent firmware update (2.0.6.1) claimed to fix the issue, but it only seemed to make it worse. So now instead of a WAP locking up every day or two, it locks up anywhere between every 15 minutes to 4 hours when in use.
    The firmware was updated and the following issue was fixed in firmware version  2.0.6.1: CSCtx62203—In certain environments and traffic model, the WAP4410N may lockup after some undetermined time. (A protection mechanism was added to guard against sporadic problems with client association that could occur after six to 24 hours.)
    As for troubleshooting, there are no error packets. On access points running firmware 2.0.6.1, these messages appear:

    Feb  8 09:55:29 syslog:  Found beacon stuck, down and up the VAP interface.
    These log messages appear on both WAP4410N-A V02 and WAP4410N-E V02 devices.
    I noticed that when the “beacon stuck” message appears, wireless traffic locked up 10-15 minutes prior to the message’s appearance in the log, and the SSID drops for 4-6 minutes after the message appears.
    Is there anything that can be done to address the issue?

    1) LAN port speed doesn't appear to have any effect
    2) Forcing a connection type doesn't seem to have any effect. This is also rather impractical.
    3) I don't have that option (though there is a TKIP/AES mixed option). Either way, I'd rather not have to resort to using a weaker encryption method.
    4) No effect.
    I did manage to find some information about the error message (older versions of firmware didn't even offer that clue).
    http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Advanced_wireless_settings#Beacon_Interval
    I ended up increasing the beacon interval from 100ms to 500ms under Wireless > Advanced Settings.
    The wifi analyzer app on android seems to keep dropping the SSID when the beacon interval is set that high, so I might have to adjust it to find a good balance.
    However, while it was set to 500ms, none of the access points went down for two days.
    [edit]: I reduced the beacon interval incrementally down to 300ms. It started locking up at 250ms.

  • Unable to connect to Internet using C2-03 as a mod...

    Hi
    I have a Nokia C2-03 phone. I have two Sims sim1 is Airtel and Sim2 is Tata docomo. I am using tata docomo for internet browing. its working fine when browing from the handset but when i connect it to my desktop which has windows xp 64 bit os i get the error Packet Data connection unavailable. i have received the settings from the service provider saved them and restarted the mobile but the issue persists.
    Any help in resolving this problem will be hugely appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Flaviazzu,
    Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
    Since you can use the packet data on your phone but not on your computer may mean that your operator does not allow you to use your data access via tethering. We would recommend that you review the terms and conditions of your service and see if it mentions anything about tethering. If tethering is allowed in your contract, please follow the instructions below to set up your internet connection.
    To create an internet connection for the first time, do the following:
    You can find the latest available Nokia Suite from your local support site
    In the Nokia Suite Home view, click Tools -> Options -> Connect to Internet
    Depending on the device model you are using, the internet connection is created as follows:
    The connection is created automatically or you need to select the operator to be used when creating an internet connection. From the list that shows the operators in your country, select your home operator (in other words the operator to whose network you have subscribed to). Then click OK.
    Let us know if this helps,
