Error patching basis - xpra execution
I'm trying to patch a sap installation (Win2k3, mssql 2000, sap 4.7x200) but using SPAM 6.20/19 I've encountered an error in XPRA execution (seems to be a tp buffer inconsistency with return code 0008) while I was upgrading basis from KB62042 to KB62046, "Packages in the queue don't exist in the tp buffer". I know for sure the problem is the SPAM version (I avoid this problem on another installation using spam 6.20/20), but now I can't proceed and I don't know absolutely what to do to fix the problem. Does anyone can help me? Is it possible to rollback (but I don't think so) or, in any way, to update the spam and launch again the KB update? Obviously in SAP notes there's no solution. There are more than 4 months that I'm trying to fix this problem. Thank you

there might be couple of reasons for the TP_STEP_FAILURE, it will occurs in different phase like import_proper and XPRA_EXECUTION phases, so there might be different issues but the errors are same. so please check the logs completely, so that you can get the proper idea of the error situation.
Any wayz i believe kernel upgrade will resolve your issue. because if your tp and R3trans versions are different then you will get this type of issues.so pleas upgrade you kernel for the latest level.

Error in XPRA EXECUTION Phase of Add On installation in SAP sys in SAINT
Hello All,
I have tried to install VERSANH ADD On on my SAP System with SPAM Version 7.00 <0032 kernal level 48.
i have run transaction SAINT imported all PAT and ATT files and started the process.
now after running around 16 Hrs it is throwing error in XPRA EXECUTION Phase.
The Error is
The Add on installation terminated during phase XPRA EXECUTION
Choose CONTINUE to continue the import
Choose BACK to delete the installation queue
Choose LOGS to display the import logs
i have clicked on Continue, the it process and after 1 Hr throws same error
i have navigated to OS Level in usrsaptranslog and there in log i am getting this line as error
ERROR RFC function TRINT PROGRESS INDICATOR returned 18

I was trying to import some support packagges in SAP and I received the next error and i don't know what to do from now on:
The import was stopped, since an error occurred during the phase
XPRA_EXECUTION, which the Support Package Manager is unable to resolve
without your input.
After you have corrected the cause of the error, continue with the
import by choosing Support Package -> Import queue from the initial
screen of the Support Package Manager.
The following details help you to analyze the problem:
- Error in phase: XPRA_EXECUTION
- Reason for error: TP_STEP_FAILURE
- Return code: 0008
- Error message: OCS Package SAPKB64017, tp step R, return code

Notes on phase XPRA_EXECUTION
The XPRAs and after-import methods are executed in this phase. This
phase can terminate due to the following reasons:
o TP_INTERFACE_FAILURE: The system was unable to call the tp
interface.
o TP_FAILURE: The system was unable to execute the tp program. For
more information, see the SLOG or ALOG log file.
o TP_STEP_FAILURE: The system was unable to execute the XPRA_EXECUTION
tp step. To see the cause of the error in the method execution log,
choose Goto -> Log -> Queue.
o CANNOT_READ_BUFFER: The tp program was unable to open the relevant
buffer file. For more information, see the SLOG log file.
o CANNOT_MODIFY_BUFFER: The tp program was unable to modify the
relevant buffer file. For more information, see the SLOG log file.
A prerequisite of the Support Package Manager is that the Change and
Transport System (CTS) is configured correctly. For more detailed
information, read the online documentation available from Help -> SAP

is thsi dosent work try restarting the queue again.

Please refer to Note 88656, section 29, and use the attached allow file to ignore the error.
Basis Support Package SAPKB64013 deletes the corrupt entries in RSMPTEXTS.
Note 88656, section 29 says,
There is "data scrap" in the target table.
The error can also occur in the target table of the existing data scrap.
In many cases, R3trans essentially reads the existing table entries in
sorted sequence to merge them with the newly transported entries. Data
scrap may result in the entries not being returned correctly in sorted
sequence.
These scrap characters, in many cases, were distributed by transports
into several systems.
In the majority of cases, these types of errors can only be solved by
cleaning up the export system and repeating the transport. If the error
also occurs in when you are importing the cleaned-up transport, the data
scrap must also be cleaned up in the import system.
As of Release 6.20, data scrap is no longer exported. See section 5c in
Note 1074030, and Note 718511.
How to do:-
Please copy the attached file(from note) in AB64012.zip to /usr/sap/trans/cofiles
or /usr/sap/put/cofiles and repeat the import.
You can do the same for SP SAPKB64013.
Please use the latest versions of the tool 'tp' along with 'r3trans'
as well.
Please let me know if it resolves or not.

I'm trying to ask to this forum, I've never received any kind of suggestion.

Getting an error when i am execution a BI query using ABAP.
Hi Expert,
I am getting an error when i am execution a BI query using ABAP. Its Giving me this Error "The Info Provider properties for GHRGPDM12 are not the same as the system default" and in the error analysis it saying as bellow.
Property Data Integrity has been set differently to the system default.
Current setting: 0 for GHRGPDM12
System default: u2019 7 u2018
As I am very new to BI and have very limited knowledge, so I am not able to understand this problem. Can any one help me to resolving this issue. Previously it as working fine, I am getting this error last 2 days.

I am receiving the following error from FME(safe software) when creating a spatial index. I have ruled out several of the common causes as reported in this forum because the procedure works for dataset with 300,000 rows of less but fails with the full dataset of 455,412 rows.
I am using 10G 10.2.0.2.0 - 64bi

The error does ocurr when I try to create the index from SQL, see message text below.
With the spatial index creation disabled in FME the run completes sucessfully, so the data is ok, well thats a maybe.
So I omitted the first 200,000 input rows and ran the last 255,413 rows and the index was sucessfully created (in FME) so now I conclude that the data IS ok (I had previously done a successful run with the first 300,000 rows)
Therefore I am thinking that my database has a problem when it is asked to create a spatial index with the full 455,412 rows. Could this be configuration, a space problem . . . .
Any more suggestions?

I'm deploying Acrobat Reader and Pro on several thousand of machines, usually without big troubles.
last month I deployed the 9.4.2 update and everything went fine until we discovered the printing problem.
This month I'm trying to deploy the patch, but it seems to not work as expected.
When i run it on few machines with Adobe Acrobat 9.4.2 and Adobe reader 9.4.2 it returns to me the following message in the log file:

I am trying to setup Intermedia Locator and am trying to create the Locator index per the code below. Any ideas why I am getting the below error, and what I can do about it.

There are a few things I would change below.
The first is that optimized rectangles (which you are using) need to be specified as lower left then upper right, assuming the lowest values are in the lower left corner of the coordinate system.
The way you've specified them is upper left, lower right which will not work.
The second thing I would change is your create index statement. You shouldn't be using locater to create the index - locator is a separate product should be used only with point geometries.
Your create index statement should look something like this:
create index zonetemp_sidx on zonetemp(shape)
indextype is mdsys.spatial_index
parameters ('sdo_level=NN');
where NN above is an integer number representing the tiling level you are going to use for the index. This is workload dependent, but I will give you a range of 8-12 to start with - you can protype using real data and figure out what gives you the best performance - if it is 12 you may want to go higher.
Also, you will have had to preload user_sdo_geom_metadata.
Finally, your query looks good, although I would change it slightly to set the third ordinate to NULL rather than 0, i.e.:

We're using oracle 9.2.0.1. I've created a table with a spatial data column. Then inserted some rows and then created a spatial index on that column. What is peculiar is; depending on the number of the rows inserted I receive below error;

for 2500 records, I can successfully create the index. However, for 3000 records above error happens. What can be the reason and how can I fix it?

I've seen this a few times, and it seems to be related to some memory config issues in the database.
Can you try adding this to your create index statement (after dropping the existing index using the FORCE option [drop index <spatial_index_name> force;]):
parameters ('sdo_max_memory=2000000')
We've found it to be helpful, but we haven't been able to isolate the database or OS parameters that lead to the problem. -
Getting an error when i am execution an BI query

I am getting an error when i am execution an BI query using ABAP. Its Giving me this Error "The Info Provider properties for GHRGPDM12 are not the same as the system default" and in the error analysis it saying as bellow.
Property Data Integrity has been set differently to the system default.
Current setting: 0 for GHRGPDM12
System default: u2019 7 u2018
As I am very new to BI and have very limited knowledge, so I am not able to understand this problem. Can any one help me to resolving this issue. Previously it as working fine, I am getting this error last 2 days.

Need your advise on this one. Upon receiving a Travel Request approval work item then trying to open the link I get the following error:

it seems when you clicking upon the link - it is sending a wrong set of parameters to underlying Web Service method. What I mean is - suppose the web service method is expecting 3 parameters - but the link click is actually effecting into sending less than that number. Please check what & how many parameter values are being sent to the web service.

When i am running a Distribution cycle in PCA i am getting the following Error:
"Sender base in period 003 is 0; therefore, no allocation is possible
Diagnosis
The total base value for sender 41007001DUMMY100GLPCT0001X0000000000000000X in period 003 is 0. This value is derived from the total of all receiver allocation bases.
System Response
It is not possble to distribute the sender value because calculating the receiver values according to the formula
Sender value X Receiver allocation base / Sender base
would terminate the program. The sender is therefore not credited for period 003"
But when i check the KE5Z report the Sender Profit Center is having the balance.
Note: We have gone live recently and we are trying the distribute the sales amount which was migrated with dummy profit centers to the profit centers which are supposed to have that revenue using this distribution Cycle

Sender Profit Center : Dummy1
Account Number From : 41007001 to 45007900 (All of of them carry revenue (Cr. Balance)
Reciver Profit Center (SET): FINALGRP
SKF: Dummy
Values are maintained in 9KE5 Correctly according to the Percentage of Distrubution amoung the receivers
