I seem to be having major issues with Firefox not starting at all due to the above error appearing everytime I try to start Firefox.
I've uninstalled Firefox multiple times to no avail.
I've even gone into the registry and deleted these entries:

I'm using Sandboxie,no other antivirus or firewall software.

We downloaded firefox 5.0.1 last night, began working with it. It did fine. After about an hour, I turned off my computer. When I turned on my computer, I click on Mozilla Firefox and it won't start. If using Zone Alarm's browser virtualization or any other similar product or a sand-boxing program (i.e., Sandboxie), turn it off when updating Firefox or Firefox Add-ons. You can post on the forum for any such product that you might be using to get other instructions on the proper use of the product.

On the top of the above message is says XULRunner
I have exactly the same problem and my Zone Alarm Security software is causing the problem when I try to open Firefox, however this did not happen in any previous versions of Firefox I have had, including version 6.0.0
I would also greatly appreciate help on this one, or at least hope Mozilla will sort this out in another update. -

I keep getting this error message when opening Firefox on my computer. However, if I run it as an Administrator it works fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox including downgrading to older versions and still no luck. This is the Error I get:

I'm trying to silently upgrade my environment to FF 7. I've gotten the silent install working great, it puts in my Proxy Server info, reassigns the home page and all that. But, the last version we pushed out was FF 3.5. If a user had that on their PC and they run the FF7 install, they get weird messages when clicking on the icon.

This is on Windows XPDo you have other virtualization or security software that might protect .ini and possibly other files in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) and prevent Firefox from updating them properly?

I'm, running WinXP Sp3. I downloaded 10.0.2 and installed it as an upgrade as I have done successfully with all other new versions. It installs, but when it tries to load I get the following error: Platform version '9.0.1' is not compatible with minVersion >= 10.0.2, maxVersion <=10.0.2. I then have to run Win Uninstall, and then reinstall 9.0.1 to be able to get back online.
