Hello!
We would like to know why there is a pop up error on our iPad.
"Please update your app. This issue is available for download, but requires a newer version of the app.
Please update your app from the App Store".
We checked the updates on the app store, but no adobe updates.
Our dps viewer builder is ver. 19.
Do we need or is it safe to update our viewer to ver. 20?

Is this an Adobe Content Viewer alert or an app that you've published? If it's one you published and you've updated to the v20 tools then you have to update the app to v20.

Hello,
The second issue of our free subscription app just became available on iTunes. However, when you tap to download the new issue, it says:
Please update your app
This issue is available for download, but requires a newer version of the app. Please update your app from the App Store.
Any clue why this would happen? I didn't run any updates on the app - just added a new folio. Also, no update are showing up available in the App Store anyway. Does this have anything to do with the new iOS issues?

So, I've updated the app without any apparent problems, but now the new folio still isn't showing up. I resaved both renditions of the app as 25v folios and updating them in the folio producer, but they never appeared in the store. I then unpublished the folios and then published them again, but still nothing. Any idea as what I might have done incorrectly?

This just happened to me today with the Adobe Content Viewer and a v22 published app. I updated a folio which was created a while back that was set to "Unspecified" for Viewer Version. It was created originally with pre v20 tools. In both the ACV and a published app this folio showed that "Please update your app..." message when trying to download/view the updated version of the folio. When I got the first update message I was viewing the folio, then I affirmed that I wanted to download the update so it took me to the library view. After trying to initiate the download/update it shows the "please update" error message. I tapped "OK" and then it let me download and view the updated folio. Basically it's showing an error message that doesn't apply. We know it isn't a v23 folio trying to be viewed by a v22 app because my folio version is not even v20, and also because it still lets me download/view the update after it gives the warning. When I've made the mistake of trying to view a newer folio with an older viewer in the past it doesn't let me download/view the new folio, it just gives the error message. Every time I've observed this false error message I've been viewing a folio when I got the initial alert that an updated folio is available. This may or may not be significant/relevant.

Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap on the ID and sign out. Then tap on "sign in" and sign in with the correct account.

I got this massage, om my ipad in the Adobe viewer - after updating the software from the DPS homepage.

This Adobe Viewer is not ready now at itunes. So i installe version 1.7 from 11/15/2011 from the Adobe Download site.
Now the Folie Builder say "An update is required to use Folio Builder. Please click here to download the Folio Producer tools."
So my question is : Will it be posible to create Folies that work and how do i get around the "An update is required" ?

Thanks Bob. It's just upsetting, in that I've done my work, finished
everything on time, only to be let down by technology at the end, and also,
the advertising clients don't make life very easy, which in turn means the
sales people are standing over me. I've lost a day n the other publication
due next week, so I've just lost my weekend. It's also embarrassing because
I can't work out the problem, so I can't fix it.

Newsstand, Please update your app

I just bought a subscription (yearly) to Chelsea FC Magazine. When I go to download the July issue, it tells me:
Please update your app (Newsstand) This issue is available for download, but requires a newer version of the app. Please update you app from the App Store.
No update to Newsstand is available?

Ok. Try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot. Maybe rebooting will allow the magazine to see 'hey, it's updated'.

Error while Updating the Apps Adapter

I am getting error while i am updating the Apps Adapter, I have created an new data source and an new connection pool like below,
1. created the Data Source with the following values.
Data Source name : DevDataSource
JNDI Name : jdbc/Dev/Apps
2.Selected Apps Adapter -- Configuration -- Outbound connection pools --

I'm having the same issue with my toplink mappings used by the database adapter-insert operation.
The mapping for the ID, primary key field, exists in the mapping-file op toplink and the attribute exists as well in the java generated wrapper classes.
I'm still getting the following exception:

If you update via Settings>General>Software Update noting is lost unless there is a glitch. Thus make sure you backup your iPod to both iCloud and iTunes.

With iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC. You should then be able to sleect the Apps section of your library on that left-hand sidebar, click the 'Check For Updates' button at the bottom of it and download any available updates. Then connect your phone and select it on the sidebar, select its Apps tab on the right-hand side of iTunes, and click the Sync button at the bottom of it - that should copy any app updates over to it

What do you do when you have an outdated email address and cannot update your apps?

I bought my Mac Pro in early 2012 and had a Cable email address which I put as my Apple ID and iTune Store address. Later in 2012 I moved and no longer had access to that email address and changed my Apple ID and iTune email address. The problem is I have 3 apps that need to update but are under the old email address ID and I cannot change it I don't remember the password, and they cannot send anything to that former address to get the password. This is especially important to me because one of the apps is iPhoto that I use constantly and love. What do I do to remedy this situation?

Go to the Mac App Store main page, choose Support under Quick Links, contact Apple, and see what they say. If you don't get any help from them, delete those applications and then download them from a different Apple ID; this may require repurchasing paid applications.

Try here > Mac App Store: "An unknown error occurred (100)" when purchasing
If that doesn't help, drag the App Store icon straight up off your Dock so it goes, "poof".
Now drag the App Store icon from your Applications folder to the Dock. Try updating your apps.
