Error polling inventory on LMS 3.2

I've recently rebuilt an LMS 3.2 installation and applied SP 1 (after having a number of issues attempting to patch the existing installation). The DCR has been slaved to another LMS 3.2 install without SP1 and it has successfully acquired all our network devices. However, whenever I attempt to run an inventory poll on any device I get this error: "RICS0001:Internal Error,unable to process the collected data from the device."
Setting the three ICServer logs to DEBUG results in an error appearing in IC_Server.log stating: "Device does not exist in RME, Please check if device is already deleted".
RME is configured to manage all devices, and it definitely exists as I am able to run the same poll on the DCR master without error.
I have literally just installed LMS 3.2, patched to SP1, updated all device packages in RME and the MDF in CS and slaved the DCR to another LMS installation etc. Any ideas?

I tried your suggestion on the DCR master and it worked. Unfortunately it's not an option for me to delete and readd every device from the master, because we would lose our configuration change history etc. (right?).

DBCA Fails with error accessing inventory - OEL5.3 DB11g SE install

We're trying to install ODB11g for x86_64 on a OEL5.3 and after having prep'd the environment, kernel, etc... The oracle user runs the runInstaller script, everything passes with flying colors until... the DBCA when in the step of completeing "Database Creation" gives an error which is logged in the: emConfig.log and suggests we re-execute the emca script...
+"Enterprise manager configuration failed due to the following error - error starting Database Control+
+Refer to the log file /.../dbca/orcl/emConfig.log for more details.+

After searching the logs, we find that the oraInst.loc file does not exist or there are no permission, the /etc/oracInst.loc exists but the emConfig.log file says this is the error (or one of them maybe):

No luck with either workaround... the DBCA runs smooth until it gets to the emca where the oraInst.loc keeps on annoying... checked its permissions 644, owner root... ran the emca manually heres the results:

LMS4.0.1 Nexus 5020 - internal error in inventory collection

Hello,
2 Nexus 5020 (SysObjId ...3.719) brings internal error in inventory collection as following:
"RICS0001: Internal Error, unable to process the collected data from the device"
whereby 2 other devices from same type, same sysobjid are working well. SDT from v401 shows this device as supported.
What can we do?

Try updating the MDF and device packages for RME first and check the issue..
If you have not applied the below patch before ,kindly apply this :
Download the Patch for this BUg from cisco.com and apply it ..I hope that should take care of the issue.

DFM Error after Upgrade from LMS 3.1 to LMS 3.2

Hi Cisco Community,
I have a big problem with the LMS Application Device Fault Manager 3.2.0 after an Upgrade from LMS 3.1 to LMS 3.2
The LMS upgrade finished without error.
The Alerts and Activities Diplay encountered an error with the following message:
"An exception occured.Please check the AAD.log file for further details"
You find the "pdshow" and "netstat" output and also the AAD.log, DeviceManagent.log, EPM.log, brstart.log and TISServer.log attached to this message
Everything else works fine.
A Cisco Daemon Manager restart doesn't fix this problem.
Any ideas to fix this problem?

The output of the command "brcontrol" was:
Error attaching to broker: S25B2005:9002!
I found a workaround for this error message at the release notes for the Cisco Unified Operations Manager.
The workaround is:
1.) net stop crmdmgtd
2.) Wait 15 minutes
3.) net start crmdmgtd
After completion of this workaround, I got the following output:

Unfortunately the errors in the DFM application are the same as before.
Also I get some error messages in the "Polling and Threshold" menu.

I already execute the following steps from the Cisco TAC to solve this problem.....without success.
Stop Daemons >>> net stop crmdmgtd from CLI.
Open windows explorer and go to \CSCOpx\databases\dfmFh. Delete dfmFh.log.
Go to \CSCOpx\databases\dfmFh> from CLI and run:
dbsrv10.exe -f dfmFh.db from CLI.
Similarly open windows explorer and go to \CSCOpx\databases\dfmEpm. Delete dfmEpm.log.
dbsrv10.exe -f dfmEpm.db from CLI.
Similarly open windows explorer and go to \CSCOpx\databases\dfmInv. Delete dfmInv.log.
dbsrv10.exe -f dfmInv.db from CLI.
Note : Please check a screen will pop up each time you execute these commands.
Then, Start daemons >>> net start crmdmgtd from CLI.

Data Load errors in Inventory

I am trying to load 2LIS_03_BF data to the cube via PSA. The data is loading fine in to the PSA but while updating from PSA to the cube I am getting the following error message.

For this type of requirements, itis better to upload the data to Z-cube from BF datasource. In that cube, you can take Movement Type characterstic , so that you can give reports on movement type wise.
You can not include Movement type characterstic into Inventory(stock) cube.What I mean is you need a Cube purely gets the data from BF and this cube will not have any Stock Keyfigures.
Or take a Z-KF into 0IC_C03(or you custom inventory cube) , But in update rule give a logic so that system fills the value if and only if movement type of the record is 321
you can go with Z-KF on your cube.
But in the mapping you have to give communication structure field either with filteration on other fileds or with out any if conditions .But you can not use infocube Kf as source for this new KF as you mentioned.
use the movement type in IS and D/C indicator to filter the quantity like
if comm_structure-movetype eq '321' and comm_structure-d/cindicator eq 's' then
result = comm_structure-cpquab (this field is populating the stock quantity)
so i think this code will bring all the issue of movement type 321 to my key figure

Error on exit with LMS KO

I have a client using the Plateau LMS and every time they
exit the course with the Send Data KO (that which came with AW7,
not the Professional KO) they get an PostURL() error, IOStatus
5006. I have set the KO to track data,
Score = (no value)
Time Automatic
Location – Other (custom variable)
=bookmark
Status = CMIStatus
Lesson Data consists of a single variable which is a single
dimensional linear list (eg modCompletion=[0,1,0])
No Pre-Processing
Quit after sending (no optional url)
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Actually - the use of the CMI Functions and Variables could
(and probably
would) certainly cause the error you indicate, below.
Authorware automatically attempts to do it's own LMS tracking
with an AICC
LMS (but doesn't quite follow the standard) but not a
SCORM-compliant LMS,
when you use the CMI Functions and Variables. This conflicts
with the LMS
KOs communication with an LMS. So...
The LMS KO attempts to communicate with the LMS using the
data/variables you
entered in the KO wizard AND Authorware attempts to
communicate with the LMS
seperately, using the data it's aware of (which in this case
is so limited)
and it's this later communication that is causing the 5006
error to occur.
First recommendation is to NOT use the CMI
Functions/Variables, if you are
using the LMS KOs. Re-publish and import into your LMS. Make
sure you
remember to clear your browser cache.

Error in inventory at warehouse level

while creating transfer order for inventory I got an error:
"Movement type 561 does not allow immediate confirmation"
could you please tell methe method to resolve it.

Probably because in transaction OMLX you have customized an immediate confirmation, although movement 561 is customized so that TO items cannot be confirmed immediately.

Error with Upload to LMS

I seem to be having a problem uploading a course created and
exported in Captivate2 to an LMS (exported in SCORM 2004 standard).
Can anyone help with this (please)?
The SCORM-compliant LMS (Plateau LMS) generates the follwoing
warning when we attempt to import the manifest file to the LMS:
"Warning details:
The parser could not validate the SCORM Import file due to
the follwoing reason(s). Proceeding with import may incompletely
import the file, or the file itself may be corrupt. You may choose
to import the file at your own risk.
Error on line 10: cvc-elt.1: Cannot find the declaration of
element 'manifest'."

I had a bad feeling that it might. In truth I have never heard of anyone using the Adobe Multi-SCORM Packager to successfully package SCORMs created with anything other than Adobe Captivate. So when you mentioned using Adobe Presenter my first thought was that perhaps these SCOs are not fully compatible with the Multi-SCORM Packager. The version of the packager app is only usually ever compatible with Captivate SCOs from the same version as well (e.g. version 7 Cp SCOs with the SCORM Packager that is installed with Cp7. I believe this is related to nuances or differences within the SCORM drivers for each Captivate version.
My suggestion is that you should probably ditch the idea of trying to use Adobe's own SCORM packager app with Presenter SCOs and instead look into using the RELOAD Editor app that can be downloaded from the internet (Google for it).

LSMW - Error in Inventory - Create batch input session

Hello good day.
I'm trying to create a batch input session for inventory upload (Standard Batch Input program - RM07MMBL) and when I select the Name of logical file = "MM_INVENTORY_MANAGEMENT_GOODS_MOVEMENT" and press F8, the following error occurs:
<b>Sequential file mmgoods cannot be opened
Message no. M7 850</b>
Now as the legend says.... I've contacted my system administrator and he keeps telling me everything is ok, but the error keeps appearing, where can I see if I have authorization for this "file" ???
Where is it created ??
I need more info on this.

go to file transaction n check for the logical file path and logical file weather it is defined correctly r not?
if it is correctly defined check for the file, weather the flat file is defined at the correct location which is defined in the logical file path

MAP 7.0 errors completing inventory

I am using MAP v7.0 to run hardware and software inventory scans on Windows and Linux/Solaris servers and receive errors not found in any of the blogs or documentation. The specific error is "Failed- Inventory not completed". I cant think of a more generic
non descriptive error, the log does not seem to point to anything.
This error is generated when running the inventory scans on Linux/Solaris servers via SSH.
I have the firewall open SSH port 22 and the credentials provided for the scan are root or equal to root, any information or solution for the error?

Did you ever get an answer to this question? I am getting the same error on a few of my Linux servers with no documentation to help me.

Suddenly receiving errors during Inventory on 2950's.

Error received is from failed job is:

The Inventory Collector log shows repeated entries of:

I have verified the credentials, and see no errors on the switch.
The IC_Server.log shows this error:

This is a known bug, CSCsz85826. It is fixed in 12.1(22)EA14. To workaround it, go to RME > Admin > Inventory > Inventory Change Filter, and check the boxes next to Image:Description and Image:System Description. Then inventory collection should work.

LMS4.1 Error collecting inventory on 3750s

Inventory collection is failing with the following message:
RICS0001:Internal Error,unable to process the collected data from the device.
Why is this happening? Other devices e.g. 6509s, and 800 series routers appear to collect correctly.
Note: I don't want to re-add these devices to RME, as we have over 200.

Captivate 3 in Articulate Presenter 09 - Error unable to acquire LMS API

Hi ,
I have created a 10 captivate movies and published them ( there are no quizzes attached to them however there is interaction in the movies as users have to enter correct text responses, click boxes etc).
I have then used presenter 09 in articulate and used the insert flash movie option, made sure that I selected the SKIN file , copied the remaining captivate files in
before publishing I ensured that the there was no bookmarks, unchecked the options open in anew bower window, when running in LMS ignore flash cookie. I then zipped the whole folder and uploaded and selected the index.html file .
When I am using articulate with no captivate movies I do not get the error, when I include a captivate movie I get the error. I have looked at all the blogs and have updated the scorm manifest files tried republishing but to no avail. I have tried republishing and with a click box and the reporting boxes checked again to no avail.
After 6 hours of trying I am now starting to pull my hair out and doubt my sanity is there anyone out there that can help it would truly be grateful.
The e log message is attached and is as clear as mud to me!!!!

Your course is set to be SCORM-compliant.
Upload your course to an SCORM-compliant LMS or SCORM Cloud (https://cloud.scorm.com) and test. You will not get the error. It has nothing to do with trial license expiry.

Error in Inventory Transfer

Hi All,
I have updated my SAP B1 SP00 PL10 to PL15.
Now, the system is giving me error while transferring inventory of excisable item from non-excisable warehouse to excisable warehouse. The error is Excisable item cannot be transferred from a non-excisable warehouse.
The above mentioned transaction was allowed in 2007B PL10. Is it an new functionality in PL15.

I have an error on my ZenWorks Inventory service but I am unsure what I need
to do about it.
The error is:
Trying to connect to Master XML Server
The Novell knowledgebase tells me that I need to run ZWF.NCF before the
StartInv.NCF, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere on the server.
What do I need to do?
