Error "problem loading more pages"

Using XP SP3, IE 8 and Acrobat Reader X, I have been trying to look at a document identified by a website as .pdf.
I see what appears to be the first page of that document - ie it makes perfect sense in the context of the website - but at the foot of the first page a message appears reading:
"Whoops! There is a problem loading more pages. Retrying..."
and nothing more happens.
On another PC, using XP SP3, IE 7, and Acrobat Reader XI, I cannot even get that first page up - after clicking on the link to the document, nothing happens,
Can anyone guess whether this is a problem with Acrobat Reader or IE? and if so, what might be done to fix it?

Your link is on Google Docs, which uses its own PDF viewer.  I can see all pages with no problems.
If you use the download button on top of the page, you can download a perfect PDF to your local disk.
If that Wordpress page is yours, I would suggest that you upload the PDF to somewhere where it can be viewed with the browser's PDF plugin, not with the Google Docs PDF viewer.

These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. Use the steps to troubleshoot security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
Also, check your hosts file to verify that it's not blocking iTunes from communicating with the update server. See the steps under the heading "Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > Mac OS X > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store." If you have software used to perform unauthorized modifications to the iOS device, uninstall this software prior to editing the hosts file to prevent that software from automatically modifying the hosts file again on restart.

I'm having problems loading web pages on a vmware workstation 6.05 guest OS using Firefox 3.5.9. Also tried the latest 3.6 version. I can ping external websites fine from the guest. No proxy. Any ideas?
    == This happened ==

I'm using the same swear words as you. There are several threads about this problem - no answers.
I have a LaserJet 8100N and 8150DN, get the 79.01FE error on the 8150 from print outs from Safari, Firefox, and Preview, for only some sites/documents. CNN.com has become my test site, seems I can crash the printer 90% of the time with their home page at any given time in the day.
A summary of what I have tried:
    - Upgraded the firmware to the latest for both the JetDirect card and the printer.
    - Swapped the JetDirect cards between the 8100 and 8150.
    - Swapped ram on the 8150 board.
    - Disconnected external trays, bins, and removed extra RAM and hard drives from the 8150.
    - Tried setting the JetDirect link and matching switch port link to 100FD, 10HD, 10FD, 100HD, as suggested by a poster.
    - Tried having client's print to the printer through a XServer Print Server.
    - Can consistently create the error from multiple systems running 10.3.9, 10.4.5, and 10.4.6 (didn't have an install base of 10.4 before 10.4.5).
Someone in the 'know' (which means they're likely not), said 10.4.7 will likely fix this. Being Apple has not even addressed that the problem exists (that I could find), I doubt the magic fix is a release away.
Apple's software is triggering something that Windows systems appears not to be, so one could say it's an Apple problem; but ulimately it's HP's software/hardware that is at fault in that it is allowing their system to crash from input alone.

  • A lot of tabs loads and tells me there was a problem loading the page. How can I stop all the tabs loading because ist slows down Firefox.

When I open Firefox, a lot of tabs try to open at the same time. They all say Problem loading the page. It happened after I tried to download a owners manual for Harley Davidson motor cycles. How can I stop all but one tab from opening.

This can be a problem with the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

  • Firefox 8.0 loading MSN Homepage gives error 'problems loading page' every timebut the page eventually loads - Any solution?

Firefox 8.0 gives error message "problem loading page" when loading MSN homepage. This occurs every time.
The error is: "Firefox can't find the server at www.%3ciframe%20marginheight=%220%22%20marginwidth=%220%22%20name=%22wxbuttonframe%22%20id=%22wxbuttonframe%22%20height=%22283%22%20src=%22http.com."
    Is there a solution?

I get an e-mail with go-comics and the ones I want to post links to I'll open in the browser as I read them in the e-mail so I regularly have a dozen tabs open (all the same site) by the time I'm through the e-mail. Every third or fourth page will hang up on something (connecting to or waiting for) sometimes not loading a single image, sometimes loading half the page, sometimes loading everything but the comic (because, hey, why put that as the first thing to load when you've got all these ads and crap to throw at your paying customers?).
At some point a couple of months ago I got some malware associated with trovisearch (I do not know how that got past security and java blocker but it did, probably some hidden crap in something from CNET) that somehow spoofed a page for Housecall and added five or six pieces of malware and adware. I cleaned for two days after and still can't find anything left on the computer even though I've been running scans constantly to try to make Firefox work right. I downloaded and ran a scan using Kaspersky during that time and then uninstalled it. That very well may be the cause of the post-refresh SSL issue.
I have Spybot and Malwarebytes scan logs from the time of the infection if that would help in any way. It doesn't look like there's a way to attach .xml files in this forum, though.
I can also run hijack this and copy and paste if that would help.
I'm currently running Windows Defender and rely on that and Noscript and adblocker plus to keep me isolated from most attacks (I don't have those add-ons re-installed yet). I also run Peerblock because they add malicious sites and known hacking sources (like Chinanet) to what they block as well as all the fake p2p stuff that's constantly pinging the computer. If I'm treading around in perilous waters I run Sandboxie.
Chrome is working as normal but Firefox feels like dial-up or worse right now and without adblocker I might as well be using IE.

    Thanks
    Vishy

    Hi,
You have to see your jsp page.
It is usually seen in association with a problematic Struts HTML SELECT custom tag. The Struts
    <html:select >
tag behaves differently depending whether one or both of the name and property attributes is specified for its encompassed
    <html:options> tags.
If the name attribute is specified, whether or not if the property attribute is specified, then a bean matching the specified name will be expected in some scope (such as page, request, session, or application). If the matching bean is not found in any available scope, the error above will be seen.
There are two ways to address this. The first approach is to put a bean in one of the scopes so that the html:options might be associated with it. The second approach is to not specify the name attribute and instead use only the property attribute.
It would be help out you.
    Thanks and Regards
    Maruthi.

  • FF4, slower, crashes more, problems with more pages, inconvenient

Been a FF fan for a decade. But I fail to see any of what all the rave reviews say about FF4. Instead, my family of 5 are all complaining to me that FF4 is slower, crashes more, can't open more pages, they can't find where FF4 "hid" what they use to do with a single mouse click, and the firefox.exe process hangs and has to be manually killed before they can restart... which is often.
Same story at my workplace of 6 firmware engineers.
So... when is FF going to throw FF4 on the trash heap of failure and get back to what works... Believe it or not... in my IT rolls I am now recommending IE8 as more stable and reliable, and checking out other alternatives.
I've already rolled back to FF3.6x and have changed my default browser to IE8. FF4 is just not reliable or effective anymore.
I'd leave this in the "feedback" but you want to force me to FF4 (which doesn't work) to do so... and FF4 is NOT going back on my machines as is.

    Hello Tim:
From your post, you have multiple problems.
If I were in your situation, I would opt for an archive and install:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1710
An A&I will install a fresh OS X while preserving your files, programs, and settings. You would, of course, need to run software update to bring everything to current levels. It is always a good practice to backup before any software change.

  • WRT330N Problems loading web pages (DNS??)

I have a new WRT 330N.  I get a weird effect when using it.  While web surfing, it is common that the browser (IE or FireFox) will return an error that they can not find the web page.  If you reload many times you will finally load it.  I have a high latency link (Satellite), but before you suspect the satellite, my older Linksys router does not have this problem.  The error returns so quickly, I believe the router must be trying some kind of DNS caching or something.  After you have been to a site one time, it responds fine (for some period of time (Hours)), but the next day you get to enjoy the error again.
This problem happens on both my PC and MAC.
I have tried it without using any security (WPA or WAP) and with.
I have changed my DNS servers, but am sure the ones I am using are quality.
    I have the 1.00.3 firmware.
    Thanks

The problem is still here, but I think I have found more clues.
If I look in the admin logs I se messages about blocked packets (No active connection). Could the router be loosing track of his TCP connections?
Note: I tried turning off firewall security on the router.

  • Problems loading web pages - must dump cache to get them to load

With increasing regularity I have been encountering a problem in Firefox where a link is selected and the message "waiting for..." appears in the status bar, but the page never loads. I clear the cache and start my navigation from the beginning and it works. However, a few more clicks and it stop again. I tried the same thing in Safari and the behavior is similar except Safari says "connecting", but never does. I click the link again and it connects.
I thought it might be a problem with the dns coming from my router (NetGear) as it is serving up an extra dns ip address that does not appear in the router console. But, I am not sure. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm dying to get a resolution to this problem too. One minute webpages will load just fine, then another time, it might take 3 minutes. It's making me insane, and I'm tempted to dump this machine and get a PC. None of the PCs in my house are having issues, even the one that's running Win 7 RC version.

  • Airport Problem: Problem Loading Certain Pages

Why do some pages just refuse to open in the MacBook but when I go to the Desktop XP they are not down? It just happened to me with GMail. It has happened with Google, Flickr, etc. It is not the browser, as I try on 3 different ones before going to the desktop computer. Has it happened to you? Do you know the reason? Any solutions?
The error is either "Server not found" or "No Internet Connection". I do have Internet connection as I'm on Adium and other pages do load. The server is no down, as I am able to open them in another computer, as I have said.
I'm on a wireless connection. My transfer rate is 54, but when experiencing problems, I see 32, 24, etc. I almost never, or never, gets to 0, as others have reported. I gets really annoying, really fast.
Please help. I have read threads and threads and not a single one has a solution.

Did you check the Windows Accessibility settings?
If it happens in other browser as well then you need to look there.
If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.image pref should be 1.
There are also extensions like Adblock Plus (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images and other content.

  • 404 Error when loading IWeb page

    Greetings once again!
I have been using the IWeb program for setting up my business in nature photograhy and have passed out business cards that say web.mac.com/debo0063/iweb and people have been telling me they get 404 errors when they look up my site. I get that message sometimes at home but not most of the time. This is a problem because obviously I want people to come and visit my site. However, I don't know what to tell them about this either. Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance for your help! It is greatly appreciated.

Tom, thanks for the information. I typed in my username incorrectly. It is as you stated--debo0062. And, thanks for the other information! I will let people know that it is a capital W on iWeb. Of course, I get a chance to figure this out after I get more business cards printed. Oh, well! That just gives me a reason to talk to them longer.
    Dustin
I have been using the IWeb program for setting up

If you really printed them with "iweb" at the end,
that could be the problem. It has to to "iWeb."
Also your username seems to be debo0062, not

  • Problems loading web pages - Macbook Pro

Hi all, so this has been going on a lot recently and I have no idea why.
Websites on my Macbook Pro are slow to very slow to load, and sometimes won't load at all. For instance, YouTube hasn't worked on my laptop for approximately 2 weeks. The sites I go to most often tend to load alright, but there are times nothing will load. But it seems even in those times, my cell phone (which accesses my WiFi) loads webpages just fine when using my wireless internet.
I've had the same internet provider at two different houses, and it worked just fine with my laptop at my last residence. I've upgraded my router (2 months ago, seemed to help some) so that it is better suited to handle the number of devices and square footage. I have 20 mbps internet speed and it is pretty consistent.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Like I said, YouTube won't load at all (says data not received on Google Chrome, just never loads on Safari) and other web pages are slow to load if at all (also get a data not received on Chrome, nothing on Safari). Usually when this is going on I try different websites on my iPhone while it's on WiFi and my internet is working fine. At this point I just don't know what else to do.

Ditto, I think. I believe it started when I loaded Yosemite... Happens at work as well as at home (same Mac). I have a MacBook Pro 15 Inch Mid2010. Status bar shows that it starts to load and then just quits 1/8 of the way through.
It usually works after I restart my computer, but obviously that's not how I want to operate when I am working on important projects.
Any help would be awesome! Thank you.

recently Hotmail havs taken a long time to load pages. Plus when a email is selected page flickers and wrong page displayed.
this is not happening with Yahoo mail. Sometimes error message such as "not responding" or "cannot complete". But only when trying to get hotmail

    Hi Larry,
Thankyou for your reply, this is a partial answer
This server has been running for about 3 years now,
The faults started after I did an service pack update for sharepoint. I then did the manual update but the C drive then started to run very slowly and was giving disk size too low errors so I moved the SUS to a different drive but this hasnt helped. It is
still running painfully slow. Ran SBS BPA and found no faults. However ran Exchange BPA and did find faults which I have now fixed. Still have large number of errors
