Error quicktime -50

Al exportar un archivo desde el compresor, me ha dado este error: error quicktime -50.
¿Por qué, cómo puedo solucionarlo?
Gracias

Hi,
-50 paramErr states for a Parameter Error.
Something is wrong in the export settings. Try different export format, bit rate, or resolution.

  • Processing service request error: QuickTime Error: -50? ***?

Hey everyone, trying to export a movie from FinalCut Pro X with compressor and when compressor gets to the end I get this error and no file
Processing service request error: QuickTime Error: -50
    What is going on?
Final Cut Pro X version 10.0.7
    Compressor 4.0.6
    <mrk tms="377617624.517" tmt="12/19/2012 14:47:04.517" pid="739" kind="end" what="service-request" req-id="BDCFEEB8-D118-43F1-9011-957801579EDD:1" msg="Processing service request error: QuickTime Error: -50"></mrk>

    Got this error -50 too.
At first thought it could be due to incompatible format but when I isolate it, it was alright.
But when I change my ext HDD, the problem stops. Weird.
My guess is maybe due to insufficient memory space (well at least for me).
    Good luck ...

  • "Share Error: Quicktime 0" error message in FCP - any ideas why?

Getting an error that states "Share Error: Quicktime 0" when using the share function to write to blu-ray. Of course, this comes at about 3 hours into a four hour encode, and of course everything is lost after this completely useless message. I've got the most recent version of QT, all the updates have been added, etc.
I burned one BD and one BD on DVD with no problems, and nothings changed. I've gotten this error twice in a row now, and rendering for three hours just to get this is beyond annoying.

  • After Effects error: Quicktime export failed - Out of memory (-108)

I am using CS3 After Effects and have been receiving this After Effects error: Quicktime export failed - Out of memory (-108).  Can anyone help with this issue?
I am using a Mac Pro 6-Core Intel Xeon 2.66 GHz with 6 memory slots at 1GB DDR3 ECC at Speed 1333MHz.

Sounds like one of those many "old version of AE on new hardware" issues... You may need to fiddle with Rosetta or install it in teh first place, if you haven't already and you may also require a specific older version of Quicktime...

    From Crash Analyzer:
    -50 (QuickTime)
This error occurs when there is corrupt or invalid media in your timeline. Check that the codec used by the file is recommended for use in your editing application.
    Suggested Actions
For best results, convert all long-GOP media to ProRes.
Make sure all images are RGB, not CMYK.
Ideally ensure all images are less than 4000 pixels in width and height.
Use Corrupt Clip Finder to locate the corrupt clip.
After the corrupt file is located, use QT Repair or Media Salvage to fix it.
Make sure your files do not have Digital Rights Management (DRM) that prevent them being played outside of their intended application. Some files purchased from the iTunes Store will have DRM.
Make sure you are using AIFF or WAV audio files.

  • IPhoto '08, Microsoft Word 2004 and an error: QuickTime and TIFF

    Hi,
When I drag and drop photos from iPhoto into Word, I get the following error:
QuickTime and a TIFF (decompressor) are required to see the picture.
The image is placemarked with a black border with the error message in the center. iPhoto indicates that the picture is JPEG. I have also discovered that dragging the picture to the desktop and then into Word works fine.
I checked the console log and found the following:

    Hi
This sounds like a problem that's been discussed many times. If you use the Search button (select more options) and change the 'Restrict by Date Range' to something like 'Last Year' you should find something? You might want to read these:

  • I/O Error = Quicktime Update

this is not a question, just the solution which cost me the whole afternoon...
wanted to continue on a bigger project on which I haven't been editing for like 10 days. Half the footage was be black. Trying to play it gave a I/O Error.
First I was blaming Lacie. Was getting ready to recapture 8 tapes.
Then I remembered, didn't I update something yesterday? I looked what got updated. It was quicktime.
So before recapturing all that material, I did some reading how to go back to quicktime 7.3 and all my unreadable footage is playing again...
and back to the old moto, never update a working system...
feels like dealing with a PC
Hope this can save somebody else's afternoon...
    cheers
    Daniel

I'll have to check with the user who is experiencing this problem, but I can't see what the difference would be between a QT that is on a local drive versus one on the Xsan. Am I making an incorrect assumption by assuming there should be no difference between where a QT lives? Thanks in advance.

  • Compressor error "QuickTime Error 0"

I am trying to compress a 7 min. video using Final Cut Studio outputting directly to compressor, after about 45 min. of compressing I get the error message "Failure Quicktime Error 0"
    Settings: 2 pass VBR 6.7 - 7.2, 16 x 9
This movie does have alot of transitions, effects etc.
I am able to compress a Sorenson version for review.
Any guidence would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    James

...Some more info on this topic.
I tried the same process on another G5 and got the same error so I don't think it's a machine specific related problem. I also tried rendering the video via Quicktime export uncompressed and got the error: FXScript Divide by 0. Now I think it must be one of my effects or several that is causing the problem.
I am going to go back to previous versions of the project and see if I can render, then perhaps I can isolate the problem. I'll let you all know if I solve it. I have searched the threads and google but have only found more people with the problem and no solutions.
    Thanks,
    James

  • Tried to export my Final Cut Pro and I get an error; QuickTime Error: -50.

I am trying to export my Final Cut Pro project and when it is exporting, about 20mins later, it gives me an error.  How can i fix the problem.
    Error code: QuickTime Error: -50

Try deleting preferences (use Preference Manager, a free application).
Also, you may try copying everything in your timeline and pasting into a new project. See if that exports correctly.

  • Error: QuickTime Streaming failed to load because it is already loaded

This error message repeats continously. Any suggestions?

I have struggled with the same problem for the last few years and could not find any adequate answers. Being a person who likes to run his PC clean and mean, I had stopped all those Apple Itunes / Quicktime applets and deleted Itunes application as I preferred other Media players & converters. Recently my Nokia 6300 phone suite would send me the same error every song I moved from PC to phone. The clue was that I had chosen Optimised AAC format instead of stock standard MP3. Working on this hunch, I re-activated Apple's Software Update from the Scheduled Tasks items of Control Panel to update Quicktime, Itunes and Safari. Now I have AppleMobileDeviceService.exe, iPodService.exe, iTunesHelper.exe all running and I do not get the error anymore. There is also the Bonjour (DNSResponder.exe) service to be considered. See:-

  • Installation error: QuickTime for Windows

Here's the error I keep getting when trying to install QuickTime version 7.60.92.0:
"The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files\Apple Software Update. The installation cannot continue. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator."
If I try to install iTunes+QuickTime together, I get the first error from above, and a variation of the error that basicly is the same thing but it referes to C:\Program Files\QuickTime.
Well I am logged on as the system administrator, so that's not the problem. I tried manually searching for the folders so I could try to grant "privileges" but the folders don't even exsist. I've spent 4-6 hours a day for the past week searching EVERYWHERE reading as much as my eyes can handle, to no avail. I really hope someone can help me because I can't install iTunes without QuickTime and I'm all out of ideas...

For the first part I can get to-
C:\Documents and Settings\Lizzy\Application Data\ but there's no Apple folder. It does keep going on to: Apple Computer\QuickTime and theres a file inside called QTPlayerSession (xml filetype) that I don't know what is.
    Also I can get to:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple\
but there's no "Apple Software Update" folder/file. It goes on to a folder for Installer Cache. (more similar to 2nd part you posted)
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple\Installer Cache\Apple Mobile Device Support 2.1.2.7
Inside is a AppleMobileDeviceSupport installer program that I ran to try to repair. It finished installing but I don't see that it really did anything and I don't see any other programs that it might have created.
The 2nd part you posted I can get this far-
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\
then the only folder I see is "QuickTime". Inside is one file named QuickTime.qtp and I'm not sure what I can do with this, if anything.
I tried searching my computer for QuickTime.msi but the search didn't find it. The AppleMobileDeviceSupport program sounded similar but I don't see that it did anything to solve the errors.
Thanks for the reply and sorry if I'm confuseing you or not being as helpful as I should be, I'm trying; but this is confusing for me.

  • 1280x720 30p prores to h.264 errors quicktime-50

    HI,
I've done this dozens of times but now it's not working.
Taking 1280X720 30p Sony EX footage captured to prores in FCP then export to QT movie. Dragged that .mov to compressor onto my vimeo settings which abbreviated are:
1280x720 6000kbps LAN streaming presets with a text overlay. nothing that special. keyframes 30
Yesterday the 3 min clip took over 14 hours before it gave me a "quicktime error-50"
Right now I'm trying to go straight out to compressor from FCP and it looks like it's going REALLY slow I really hate having to re-install compressor. It seems like an every 3 month deal that kills a few days.
Please help, I'm praying that I don't need to reinstall. Any and all help is truly appreciated!

Had to re-install the entire fing suite again. Yay. That answered it.

  • Compressor Error: "QuickTime Error: -6662"

Anybody know what "QuickTime Error -6662" is? I got this after a failed encoding. I was trying to transcode DV25 material down to the iPod format.(H.264 for iPod)

Interestingly, I modified the Compressor iPod preset to not do MultiPass and Compressor handles the files fine. Perhaps it did run out of memory, though the machine that I'm using has 2GB of RAM plus a lot of HD to spare. Perhaps the multipass mis-manages the memory? Or perhaps it did indeed just run out. Is there a recommendation for free HD space?(if Compressor caches to the drive)
