  • Resource cannot be displayed with XMLResourceRenderer

    Hi all.
    I have a NW04s Portal (version 7.0 SP10). I have imported the Common Parts, Maintenance Technician and Best Practices for Enterprise Portal Business Packages.
    I am testing the Portal role eu_role and for that I've created some news into the KM folder <b>root > documents > News</b>. When I enter to the news section under <b>Home > Company</b>, I got the error <b>Resource cannot be displayed with XMLResourceRenderer</b> for each new i have created.
    I already did the minimal configuration for KMC as described here http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/84/2756c03e96dc45afcd400fe5c7686d/frameset.htm
    Please if somebody knows how to solve this error, I appreciate the help.
    Best Regards.
    Gregory

    Hi Matthias.
    Answering ur questions:
    <i>(1) Are there any other items in the folder (e.g. plain text files etc.) which cannot be rendered by XMLForms ?</i>
    Yes, there are other items.
    <i>(2) Is it possible to open the NewsItems with the "Edit" command ? Are the inserted values OK ?</i>
    Yes I'm able to edit the NewsItems
    <i>(3) Is the problem related to the User (e.g. User A can read User B not) ?</i>
    Not it happends to all users.
    Gregory.

  • NewsBrowser Layout - Resource cannot be displayed with the XML Resource

    I've assigned the standard SAP NewsBrowser layout to the folder I created. All the subsequent folders display correctly except for the files. The following error appears, "Resource cannot be displayed with the XML Resource Render." However, if I re-assign another standard SAP layout to the folder or to the iView the files appear. The benefit of this layout is we wouldn't have to modify any commands.
    Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

    Hi

  • "Error page cannot be displayed" in the Internet Explorer

    In BSP application while clicking a button in the server page we are getting  "Error page cannot be displayed".
    Is this error occurring due to some problem in R3 server or due to some connectivity issues.

    server page ?? you must mean your HTMLB page or just web page.
    have you checked what does the coding behind that button do ?? did you also check in SICF in folder Error Pages whether there´s a page that has been declared there, but which does not exist ??
    .... and don´t repeat the threads !!

  • "cannot open display" with cron script

    This works fine from the CLI, but when it runs with the cron daemon, the log file shows "xfburn: cannot open display."  How do I go about fixing this?
    #!/usr/bin/perl -w
    `xfburn --version > /home/tim/scripts/blah.log`;

    Hmm I'm not really sure what to do with that.  I'll post the whole thing.  This is my first time writing in perl, so I'm sure it's really inefficient and ugly.
    It's supposed to grab 'svn info' from all my svn packages in /var/local/abs, find my currently installed versions of the svns, and write the results to ~/scripts/svn-updates/outdated.log file.
    It works correctly when I run it from the command line, but when I put it in cron.daily, "@svninfo = `$pkgname --version --display=:0.0`;" doesn't work.
    #!/usr/bin/perl -w

    Oracle Drive sent back an Error : Could not access the path
    I thought it could be a SSO problem : communication between OCS midTier and OC4J_SECURITY instance on the infra(sso) midTier.
    Finally seems there is a problem when opening a session on the ContentDb Node

  • Preview error Page Cannot be Displayed in transaction SBWP

    When I workflow item is selected in SBWP, the preview section is not displayed.      The preview section should show the description of the document and the objects and attachments to the archivelink document.  Instead it gives the error that the page cannot be displayed.  This is only happening to one user, so my assumption is this related to a machine or software setting.    We have reinstalled SAP, but that did not resolve the issue.

    Hi,
    It is related to their SAPGUI release & patch level or their version of Internet Explorer. Apply the latest SAPGUI patch on the users machine and it should solve the issue. If not check what version of IE they are using compared to everyone else...perhaps they need a new version also.

  • Error: Page cannot be displayed when testing BSP application from SE80

    Hi:
    I am new to SAP 4.7. I need help in running BSP application from SE80. When I run, I am geting error the page cannot be displayed. Can some suggests/advice what are the neccessary steps ahould follow to run BSP application.
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Welcome to the forums and welcome to BSP. There are a few things we kindly ask
    Take a look at this weblog: <a href="/people/brian.mckellar/blog/2004/06/11/bsp-trouble-shooting-getting-help">BSP Trouble Shooting: Getting Help</a>
    That will help you jump several of the hurdles you'll come across as you get started.
    As for your problem if you are receiving the message "Service is not active" then you need to go into the transaction SICF in your system and follow the tree (take a look at the path in your browser /sap/bc/...) and select each until you get down to the one you are trying to look at and active it.
    If you are getting errors about other ones not activated then do the same for those.
    If you are not getting those errors and your browser is simply telling you "Can't find it or something" then in "Internet Options" in your browser advanced tab uncheck the "Show Friendly HTTP Errors".
    You can also check transaction ST22 to see if there is a short dump in which case that will help analyze the problem.
    Otherwise you'll need to give us more info including your SP level (recommend you jump up to at least 43 on ABA and BASIS)

    I believe my it guys have php on their server. When I look on the internet
    to try and use the form to test it, I get the error:
    The website cannot display the page
    HTTP 500
    Most likely causes:
    The website is under maintenance.
    The website has a programming error.
    What you can try:
    Refresh the page.
    Go back to the previous page.
    Here's one php code I have linked to one of my documents:

    * Read This First
    * ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    *  This script is very well documented and quite large!  It looks daunting,
    *  but really isn't.
    *  If you have experience with PHP or other scripting languages,
    *  here's what you *need* to read:
    *      - Configuration (TARGET_EMAIL & DEF_ALERT)
    *      - Creating Forms
    *  That's it!  (Alternatively, just read the Quick Start and/or
    *  Quicker Start section below).
    *  Full configuration documentation is here:
    *      http://www.tectite.com/fmdoc/index.php
    * Purpose:
    * ~~~~~~~~
    *  To accept information from an HTML form via HTTP and mail it to recipients.
    * What does this PHP script do?
    * ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    *  On your web site, you may have one or more HTML forms that accept
    *  information from people visiting your website.  Your aim is for your
    *  website to email that information to you and/or add it to a database.
    *  FormMail performs those functions.
    * Quick Start
    * ~~~~~~~~~~~
    *  1. Edit this file and set TARGET_EMAIL for your requirements (near
    *      line 235 in this file - replace "yourhost\.com" with your mail server's
    *      name).  We also strongly recommend you set DEF_ALERT (the next
    *      configuration below TARGET_EMAIL).
    *  2. Install this file as formmail.php (or other name ending in .php)
    *     on your web server.
    *  3. Create an HTML form and:
    *      - specify a hidden field called "recipients" with the email address
    *        of the person to receive the form's results.
    *      - in the your form tag set the action attribute to
    *        the formmail.php you uploaded to your web server
    *  Once you have FormMail working, you may be interested in some advanced
    *  usage and features.  We have HOW-TO guides at www.tectite.com which
    *  describe many of the advanced processing you can do with FormMail.
    *      http://www.tectite.com/fmhowto/guides.php
    * Quicker Start
    * ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    *  Use the FormMail Configuration Wizard here:
    *      http://www.tectite.com/wizards/fmconf.php
    *  By answering a few questions you'll get a configured FormMail and
    *  a sample HTML form ready to upload and use on your server.
    * Features
    * ~~~~~~~~
    *  For a list of features go to: http://www.tectite.com/formmailpage.php
    * Security
    * ~~~~~~~~
    *  Security is the primary concern in accepting data from your website
    *  visitors.
    *  Tectite FormMail has several security features designed into it.  Note,
    *  however, it requires configuration for your particular web site.
    * Configuration
    * ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    *  To configure this script, go to the section titled "CONFIGURATION"
    *  (after reading the legal stuff below).
    *  There is only one mandatory setting: TARGET_EMAIL
    *  and one strongly recommended setting: DEF_ALERT
    *  Full configuration information is available here:
    *      http://www.tectite.com/fmdoc/index.php

    *  The version history used to be located within this file.  However,

  • Compilation error that cannot be displayed

    Hi all,
    I have this compilation error message, but when I try to view the error, nothing appears. Have you guys ever experienced anything like this? Or is there anything that I have missed? Thanx.
    (new.sql is the script of the stored procedure)
    SQL> @d:\scriptdb\new.sql
    Warning: Procedure created with compilation errors.
    SQL> show error;
    No errors.
    SQL>

    Try being explicit:
    show error procedure procedure_name
    or
    show error package package_name
    "show error" with no additional arguments just shows the errors for the last object processed. Perhaps your script is compiling multiple objects?

  • Open WDA instead of subarea causes page cannot be displayed error?

    Hi All,
    We're using ECC6 and Portal 7.01 (EHP1).
    We have a situation whereby when the user selects an subarea from the overview page, we want to open a web dynpro for abap application rather than a subarea menu.  We have done this many times before with other type iviews and it works perfectly fine.  But when we do this with a web dynpro for abap ivew we get the internet browser error "webpage cannot be displayed".
    A work around could be to create a URL ivew and launch this instead but we would have to change the URL across our 3 systems.  We have a number of places where we want to open a web dynpro for abap iview instead of  a subarea menu so as you can see, this would not be an ideal situation and would be a nightmare for maintainence.
    So if anyone can shed any light on this subject, I'd be most grateful.
    Thanks in advance,
    Liz.

    I remember having hard time doing the same thing. In my case, I was trying to launch a page with a Webdynpro ABAP iview assigned to it.
    However I achieved it with the following:
    From IMG configuration for homepage framework:
    1. Created a resource with the following:
    Resource Key - ZTEST_RESOURCE
    Description - My Test Resource
    URL of PCD page - ROLES://portal_content/my_folder/my_role/....../mypage (Relative path of the page in PCD)
    Checked the option - PCD Page Static - THIS DID THE TRICK
    2.. Created an Area with the following :
    Area Key - ZTEST_AREA
    Area Link Text - ZTEST_AREA
    Picture Resource - Some picture resource
    Area Link Type - Call a Portal Page (PCD)
    Link Resource - ZTEST_RESOURCE
    Area Description - LAUNCH A WD4A PAGE
    3. Created a dummy Sub Area :
    Subarea Key - ZTEST_SUBAREA
    Subarea Text - Test Subarea
    4. Assigned my dummy sub area to the new area.
    5. Assigned my new Area to the existing Area Group Page.
    On the portal side, I created a page (this should take place of the area page) with a webdynpro ABAP iview assigned to it and then assigned this page to a new workset (this should be at the level of Personal Information Workset) and the workset was in turn assigned to the entry point workset.
    If you now open the role and select the newly created page and view its properties, you will get the realtive path of the page. You will use this in your resource.
    Give this a shot and let me know if you face any problems.
    It is a good practice to clear your browser cache and open a new IE window if your backend changes are not refelcting.

  • Error Getting while opening an adobe attachment "Output cannot be displayed because an error occured "

    Hello Experts,
    In our project where CRM Web ui is UI technology used, i am displaying list of attachments in one block.
    WHen i am clicking on these adobe form outputs which are in the form of links, i am getting an error "Output cannot be displayed because an error occured".
    Can anyone please tell me what is missing which is leading to this error ?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Nikhil Kulkarni

    Generally this kind of error messages occur when there is a gap b/w the PDF rendering and the layout ..
    The only way to find out the error is debugging, where you have caught the exception from the driver program.

    I am able to open the communciation channel if i am using the path http://<full qualified host>:<http port>/mdt/channelmonitorservlet
    This means that there is a problem in the host file....the changes are not getting reflected.....did you log-ff and then again login?
    instead of the FQDN you can also open the page using the IP address of the server.
    I am really sorry I am unable to give you points, since the Star icon is not displaying in the browser to award points
    This may be because you did not mark the thread as a question
