Error restarting services after deploying a RPD.

Hi all,
I have recently performed OBIEE installation and, when a repository is deployed and all services restarted comes an error like this one and BI Server status is down:
Operation Failed: start; OracleInstance: instance1; Component: coreapplication_obis1; msg 0 of 1 processes started.
OBIEE version is 11.1.1.6 and the unique RPD that works is the sample one, any others fail during the restart process.
I have been thinking that maybe it was a logging error but I am not sure due to the last actions I performed, which have been those:
- Create a new user in the Console
- Create a new repository and give the username created before and its password.
Can you help me please?
Regards,
Borja M.

Think this may be the wrong place to be posting the question about BI

    Hi,
Thanks for quick answering, RPD consistency is checked and OK, so that is not the problem. RPD was also renamed and deployed again, throwing OBIEE the same error.
There is something particular related to this problem, any RPD works properly except of the one installed with the OBIEE software. I mean, maybe the error is always the same, or it is a configuration error, but I am not able to fix it.

    Hi,
503 error comes when the client finds that the target server is not running or accessible.
Is the java system up and running? Check if the server nodes are up ?
check for the logs in work dir and if only server node is not coming up then check for default traces.
    Amit.

  • Windows Vista Installation Failed. Error Restart Loop After Install.

I made it as far as the end of Step 2: Partition for Windows Vista -> Format -> Install -> Restart
Note: Partition size = 45 GB. Apple USB keyboard and mouse worked fine.
    The install process was stuck in a loop at this point. After restart the screen was black for about 5 minutes. Disc made noise off and on but no screen input. Then it finally restarted. Next screen had error info and a choice to continue. After that a "Install Windows" error msg appeared;
+"The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer and then restart the installation."+
Clicking "OK" resulted in the same error msg. along with +"Press any key to boot from disc"+. No success attempting to start up from Windows partition. or disc. Restarted to Mac HD. There is a "Untitled" drive on the Desktop. It contains multiple folders (11 GB). I tried to restart from this drive w/o Windows disc and it returned to the previous error msg.
Next I tried restarting w/ Option key, inserting Windows disc, clicking on arrow under disc icon and quickly pressing any key. This brought up +"Windows Boot Manager Window"+. The only choice was; +"Windows set up [EMS Enabled]. To specify an advanced option for this choice, press F8. Tools: Windows memory diagnostic.+" None of the key choices (Enter, Tab, Esc) responded. Disc would not eject.
Booted to Mac HD. Ejected disc w/ mouse. Used Boot Camp to restore partition. After restart screen is black with; +"No bootable device -- insert boot disc and press any key".+ Then I power down/on with Option key. Only Mac HD is displayed. Log into Admin. Mac HD looks fine. Run Disk Utility to verify disk/volume. OK. Also ran TechTool Deluxe. Passed. Open System Preferences, check that Mac HD Startup Disk is highlighted. Restart. OK now.
What is going on? I was quite confident this would install without any problem since I was using the latest OS X 10.5.6 and Windows Vista Business (early version). Could that be the cause? I had no problem installing it under VMware Fusion 2 (downloaded updates), worked flawlessly. If I can't get this to work then I have to go back to a PC for ACAD. HELP!!
Can I get Apple Support for this issue (Phone only, or Genius Bar)? I have AppleCare.

Your problem sounds somewhat like mine, although not exactly. In my case it seems as if my CD/DVD drive didn't like the hologram on my Windows XP install CD. I solved this by using Disk Utility to make a disk image of the Windows DVD and then burning the disk image onto a new DVD with an opaque "label". That solved that problem.
A further problem occurred after that. When I got to the screen that told me to hit "Enter" to start the installation process my keyboard was unresponsive. I solved this by buying a cheap Windows keyboard. That solved that problem and I now have Windows XP running just fine.
I think that you'll find that Apple tech support isn't very responsive to these sort of problems. I don't have Apple Care but was willing to pay my $49 for tech support. I ended up talking to a "Boot Camp specialist". He was polite but told me that it was "a windows problem" and that Apple didn't support Windows. I agree that Apple can't support windows but it seemed like my two problems were "Mac problems". Anyway, after tearing my hair out for 4 days I finally got it done. I have to admit that I'm not happy with apple tech support.

  • Receive error "bobj undefined" after deploying Web app to Win 2008 server

Developed Asp 2 app in a Windows 2003 server environment with VS 2005 and an upgraded full version of Crystal Reports 2008.
Installed full version of Crystal Reports 2008 on Windows server 2008.
Copied Web app over to Windows 2008 server.
App comes up fine until I attempt to display a report where I receive the bobj undefined error.
Searched the forums and found that the majority of the problems are caused by the Aspnet_Client folder not being copied to c:\inetpub\wwwroot folder.
The folder already exists and is populated. Just to be sure I copied the aspnet_client folder from the development environment over to Windows 2008.  Still get error.
Installed vs2005 on Windows 2008 and applied all the necessary patches. Opened the Web app project and ran within VS 2005. Get same error "bobj undefined".
Checked versions in Web.config for app as well as assembly entries in c:\windows\assemblies, c:\Windows\Microsoft .NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ASP.NETClientFiles and all reflect the correct version 12.

Well it appears that the problem is fixed. The issue was tha aspnet_client folder was indeed copied to c:\inetpub\wwwroot folder but the folder did not show up under the default Web site as a virtual directory in the IIS Service Manager.
I created the virtual directory aspnet_client and pointed it to c:\inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client folder and now my reports render without error.
I will try deploying the app to another VMWare Windows 2008 server and see if this will work. I don't want to have VS 2005 installed on the production system so I need to be sure that I only require the installation of the full version of Crystal Reports 2008. I am assuming the Crystal Reports runtime will also be installed.
Installed full version of Crystal Reports 2008.
    Created virtual directory aspnet_client
    Copied ASP app over
    Reports now work.
It appears that the Crystal Reports 2008 install can't create the virual directory aspnet_client on IIS7.

  • Error on console after deployment

I use asadmin to deploy ejb applications. When it is successful, I can see my ejb on console. But there is a warning asking me to apply changed. So I click on "Apply Changes" button, then I get error as below. I did not remember beta version of son one 7 gave me such warning.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
ConfigChange of type Add/Delete or Set for applications and modules should be handled immediately in MBean

The issue is that deployment rollback sometimes does not cleanup "changes cache" maintained in config layer. In any case, the solution is to retry "Apply Changes" or reconfig. The error won't show up the next time. The bug 4737808 is slated for MU1.

  • Web Services After Deployment...???

This may be a dumb question since I am new and evaluating BEA WebLogic products.
I follow the tutorials (Web Services, to be specific) all the way to build EAR
    file and deploy it.
Now, WHAT DO I DO ???
Suppose my server is TestServer, my BEA Web Services is TestWebServices,
What URL should I navigate to verify the deployment is success ?
Here the the contents of my WebLogic Console Deployments:
    Configurations:
    Name: TestWebServices
    Path: E:\Bea\TestWebServices
    Deployment Protocol: Two-Phase
    Staging Mode: nostage
    Targets:
    Independent Servers: TestServer
    Deploys:
    Module:TestWebServicesWeb Status:Active Target:testServer Type:Server LastAction:Success
Can I have a specific url example to try ?
    Thanks.

I'd suggest you start with the tutorials on this site:

  • Restart Services after Sync

I have a 2nd Gen iPod nano, iTunes 7. As soon as I sync my ipod I can no longer communicate with it through iTunes. This is frustrating. Should I return it and wait a few months for this to all get worked out?I just bought it Monday and it's been a headache. Any advice. This is all new to me.
    PC   Windows XP

I had to enable Terminal Services in Windows XP. Once this was done my connection problems disappeared.

  • Spaces -- Have to restart service after restarting system.

Whenever I reboot (or log out and back in) I can't change Spaces. I have Mail set to always be in a different space, it goes there, does its thing, but I can't move to its space. I have to disable and then enable Spaces to get it to work. EVERY TIME I reboot.
Does anyone else have this problem? Even better, anyone have a solution?
    Thanks.

    Anyone?

    Hi Samir,
    you could be right...
it could be, that our metadata are inconsistent, because we had before problems with the automatic code generation.
What should we do, if we have such a inconsistency of our ejbmodule, dictionary and metadata model?
is there a way to repair the project?
Undeploy and Redeploy doesn't have an effect on this.
We cannot start again, because we put in 10days of development?
    Thanks for any help.

FYI , I succesfully checked in the RPD , tried restarting all BI services and re-login into EM . But the error still exists .

    Thanks for your replies !!
In any of the RPD deployments I'm getting the same error , not for some particular RPD .
FYI , yesterday (before this issue) I had a issue with starting presentation services , so as adviced in forum I replaced the files sawguidstate and sawguidstate.atrin the location:
    <Instance_Home>\instances\<instance_name>\bifoundation\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\catalog\<project>\root\system\mktgcache\<name>
with the same files from a backup or from another working OBIEE 11g (11.1.5)instance.
plese refer : Re: Unable to start presentation services , in OBIEE 11g
Is this causing the deployment issue ?
