Error: SAP license key: header or empty line expected

Hello All,
I wanted to install license for my portal server(EP-6, SP-14). But i am getting some error msg
License file C:\APQ_WEBAS.txt contains an incorrect SAP license key: header or empty line expected. License key(s) not completely installed.
when I clicked on install from file Button.
Any +ve will be aprited.

Just Put this line at top of ur license file

SAPNW2004s Java incorrect license key:empty line expected

i installed SAPNW2004s Java trial version.but WebAs shutdowns every 30 mins. I searched and found that reason is license problem.
When i try to upload license text (MBS.txt) with visual administrator.I get error say that "incorrect SAP license key :header or empty line expected".

That file is for MiniSAP version and not for NSP...NSP license is no longer provided on the licenses page...Must wait for Official SAP News.

SAP License Key configuration procedure in Web AS(J2EE)

Hi,
We installed Web AS 6.4 (J2ee). It is running on temporary license and going to expire in one week time. I applied for license key and got the permanent license key as a text file attachment through email. It is a simple text file containing the license key, system NR and etc. I saved that text file into my machine.
I tried to configure that license file into Web AS using visual administrator.
Server 0 --> Services --> Licensing Adapter --> Install License from file
I selected the text file which was sent by SAP to my mail.
It is giving error like
License file C:\(license file name).txt contains an incorrect SAP license key: Header or empty line expected.
License key(s) not completely installed.
I don't know what to do now. I think we can do through this through cmd. But I don't know how to do that.
Shall I delete the temporary license? Will the system allow me to enter the value manually.
Can any one guide me on this?

Any idea about it?
I set the system variable like
dbms_type = mss
DIR_LIBRARY = D:\usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\run
But still getting the error.
Do I need to set dbms_type in environment variables? I don't know it's value. My db is MS SQL DB.

Logon not possible (error in license key)

dear sir
I had a temporary license which got expired yesterday. but i received the permanent license today
and i wanted to install it on the solution manager server, but when i 'am trying to log in ,it throws
an error at the bottom that " logon not possible (error in license key ) "

Logon using SAP* in client 000.
Probably you need to maintain profile parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0 and restart the system before you are able to logon with user SAP*

Kernel upgrade error:The license key library has not been initialized yet.

We have updated the Solution manager with EHP1 kernel with latest patch55. 
Operating system platform:OS/400. 
We are getting error :The license key library has not been initialized yet. 
We have gone through Note 982056(The license key library has not been 
initialized yet) but after application restart we still are facing problem. 
Also with old kernel(Patch 32) our system is working fine. 
For SAP Router we need to do the kernel Upgrade.

I have applied the SAP Cryptographic Library IBM AIX for RS6000/Power mentioned in the note on system i. 
The following changes are made: 
In the instance profile,
as4/ADDLIBPATH = /usr/sap/... is added. 
ssf/name=SAPSECULIB 
ssf/ssfapi_lib=<SAP Cryptographic software directory>/libsapcrypto.o 
sec/libsapsecu=<SAP Cryptographic software directory>/libsapcrypto.o 
I am facing similar error with directory run_sec
Error log:

SAP License key

Dear All,
We have an issue with system number in our production system.
We have generated SAP license key for production during our SAP implimentations. But after that due to some major problem we have again reinstall SAP system and regenerate SAP License key. Now both the SAP License key has different system number. Old one license key we have deleted from SAP Supprt portal.
How can change the system number in my landscap as per the registered with SAP Support portal.
Can I delete existing license from my SAP System and reinstall latest downloded key ?

Well you should have ordered the new license under the same system.

Yes, that is what you have to do now. If your installation number changed, then you will have to delete the old licenses first. Then you will be able to install the new license.

DB Connector Error : the license key does not include use of OpenSQL driver

I am new developer on Crystal Report tool and i face an issue : When I try to refresh data I get the following error message :
DB Connector Error : the license key does not include use of OpenSQL driver.

SAP license key error: no valid license found: cannot log into SAP GUI

I deleted temp license from slicense on SM box, since I had already installed new digital license from SAP. Well, later I tried to log in again and was locked out. After some research, I found "sap license check failed" in the log files, java will not come up, and the hardware key has changed on me, so the valid license that was active before is not showing up now.
I applied for a new license with new hardware key and attempted to install from cmd prompt, using saplicense -install ifile=c:license.txt, but it gets an error. I put a trace on it and appears it cannot read license file key. I also tried to install another temp license, but that failed since no other previous valid license was found. At this point, I'm thinking I need to manually insert the license key into the database, but not sure what table or exactly how. SAP has not provided a solution yet.
I believe the hardware key changed due to renaming the server (we took out a hyphen in name) and had also reinstalled afterwards.
Has anyone else run into this issue?

Yes, I wish it were that simple, but I cannot even bring up the logon screen. SAP GUI returns a message, resource temporarily unavailable. I looked in SAP MMC syslog and found several entries, "SAP-Basis System: No license found for hardware ID DLIC_HWIDKE"
I tried to install temp license from cmd prompt, but it says refuses and says no old or expired license found. I also tried to install the new license I applied for from SAP with new hardware key using saplicense -install ifile=license.txt and that failed as well.
For NW2004s, is it even possible to install a digital license using cmd prompt?

Website containing license key database + software on-line

I have written a java based application and want to create a website allowing purchasers of my software
to run the application on-line.
I want to be able to validate the username/password on-line and if okay allow my java software application
to be run.
Can anybody please tell me what software can I use that will offer me the following functionality
1) Website + ecommerce
2) Database housing license keys allowing for validation
3) Ability to load my java application onto my website + running software on-line.
I would appreciate some help as all the web creation software pakages I have seen just
have set format(pages) plus e-commerce BUT not the ability to load and run software on-line
using a validated license key database.

Sap license keys for Test Landscape

Hi,
Sap R/3 Enterprise - 4.70
We have created a test Sap Landscape for testing Backup & Recovery. We are experiencing licensing issue when trying to log onto the test Landscape because the hardware key has changed.
We have raised calls with Sap, but as yet have not provided a working solution.
What would happen if I generated a new license on Sap Market Place for the test hardware as a temporary Measure?
Would it cause problems with our Production systems, because the license key on Sap Market place would not match the one installed on our productiion system?

Thanks for your advise, but my Sid is the same. We have build a full test landscape, on a different network. I have tried to create a new license on Sap Market place, but this is not possible. I have rang the Sap Help desk - only to be told that I must create a customer message, which I have, but after 3 weeks of trying they still have not found a solution.
I was just wondering what problems I would have if I changed my Live details on Sap marketplace to the test machine details - just so that I can generate a new license key, and then change it back. Don't know what implications this would have?

SAP License Key missing

Hi,
I am in weird situation. I am upgrading from NW7-SPS18 to Ehp1-SPS5. While doing so, in "Down time" phase, system could not come back, as license is missing. currently only shadow instance created by upgrade process is running. My real client is not able to come up. I searched libsapcrypto.so file in all instances exe and also sapmnt..this file is missing.
I got new temp License from Sap market place. However, the shadow instance which does not accept the license,. Also, I could not bring up my client.
Is it possible to apply the license file from Unix level? If so, how to upload the license file.
Currently I could not continue my upgrade. I already submitted mesg to SAP for help.

when i am trying to install license key i am getting the following error message

following are the values passed.
SAP system = NSP
Inst. Number = DEMOSYSTEM
Hardware Kye = XXXXXX
System Number = left balnk
Expires on = Expiry date received in themail
Key = key received in the mail

The problem:
I would like to write some programs but I get the error I need a developer id. Therefore I read all the topics about getting a license and the developer key and got the email containing the following:
"Your Hardware key : P1297367619
Your License Key : TZRNG1J1FOLSOZEZTZ8J8TOP
License Expiration date: 20060102
SID : NSP
Installation-Nr. : DEMOSYSTEM"
I set it all in the SLICENSE and I got the following error:
"Error from database layer"
With some retries I got also the error
"Invalid license key"
I am stuck. What do I need to check, do ?

Have you got the SAP License key by providing its relative proper Hardware key ? if its required get a new SAP License key again with its relative hardware key at SAP Service Market Place, , and apply it again by login with sap* user in client.
The variables DIR_LIBRARY & dbms_type are set correctly for the user Under which you are installing SAP license?
Have you tried the same activity with new Saplicense executable for 701 release ? Download new saplicense from SMP and try again.
Also do this at last.... Set your system date back to a date when the sap license was valid.... then reStart the system, log on to SAP client, go to transactoin SLICENSE, apply the new license using license file, verify the license application & then log off, change system date back to current date, and re-start sap system. The same activity you can do at command level also.

Server0 getting down and logon not possible ( error in license check)

Hi Guys,
I rebooted my SAP server and after that server0 is in disabled mode, well both the boxes seems to be green but the server0 node in disable mode as if it is maintained by some parameter and I have changed it, which is not the case, also there is no log with dev_server0 since then. I have followed 723909 note and also copied the parameters of a running server but didn't get success. Also when I am trying to login through SAPGUI its giving me error " Logon not possible( error in license check)" while the license is already installed.

License issue is resolved but server0 node is still in disable status while the instances shows green, I checked dev_jcontrol log and found :
