Hi Experts.
I have an Scenario file to file and I try to convert an ANSIX12 document from EDI to XML with the Seeburger BIC, but I have an error:
- Conversion of synchronous request from module chain ended with errors ---Error: [Error:ID=2023;LEVEL=1] InhouseDocReader readNextSegment(): offset[1085(read Segment : )]: caught ReadingException: Length limit exceeded - no SEG. delim. found!!!, Trace:
I check the "setIgnoreCRLF" in the "Source Options", and the the mapping works on Seeburguer, but when I deploy the mapping to PI, I have the same error, on the deploy, the map not recognize the "setIgnoreCRLF" within PI.
Anybody Help me?

HI,
You have two option to reslove this error ...
1)If you are called BIC module with Mapping Name is Auto then you need to call the Classifier module in Communcation Channel.
2)you just call the BIC module with Mapping Name is "your mapping name not Auto option "what u deployed in PI server.

  • Converter Error in Seeburger Mapping Designer

    Hi,
I try to convert an ANSIX12 document from EDI to XML with the Seeburger Mapping Designer, but I have an error:
    Converter Error or Warning:
    [Error:ID=2023;LEVEL=1] InhouseDocReader readNextSegment(): offset[1211(read Segment :
)]: caught ReadingException: Length limit exceeded - no SEG. delim. found!!!
DESCRIPTION: InhouseDocReader causes an ReadingException while trying to read the next segment of current file, abort.
If I check the "setIgnoreCRLF" in the "Source Options", the mapping works, but when I deploy the mapping to XI, I have the same error, on the deploy, the map not recognize the "setIgnoreCRLF" within XI.
How can I deploy this check to XI or how I do to mapping ignore the CRLF without the "Source Options"??
    Greetings,
    Hervey

    Hi,
I am also facing same problem.
How did you corrected your  file.
Do I need to redeploy my mapping on PI

  • Seeburger Mapping Designer - Gentran

    Hi Experts.
I have an Scenario EDI to Flat file , I'm using Seeburguer to convert file to XML and viceverse...
I use the mapping EDI ???_E2X_Ansix12_204_V4010 to convert the file to XML , The EDI Files has an element wich Length is 2 but on Seeburguer Mapping the value minimal is 3 so the EDI is not converted.
Also I use Gentran system in this case Gentran pass the EDI but send and soft Error about that.
Seeburguer has any similar option ?

    Luis,
Seeburger has given the standard mappings based upon the EDI schmea standards. So if the lenght is 3 in the standard and if your partner sends 2 then it is the problem with the partners file. You can tell him to change according to the standards.
If he cannot do it then you need to change the standard mapping for 2 and deploy the sda files once again.
For your question: there are no hard and soft errors in seeburger. Only error is error. It fails in RWB and from there your alert can pick up.

  • Seeburger BIC Mapping Designer: Special Character (German Umlaut) Problem

    Hi,
i have created a Mapping with Seeburger Mapping Designer (Invoicd96a to XML). I started the test environment, compiled the mapping and converted the Message to XML. I got a syntax error in the destination file so i added the setSourceEncoding("UTF-8") option and i got a working xml file.
My problem is that all special characters, will be displayed as ? So the word "Beträge" will be converted to "Betr?ge".
What i have to di, to fix this problem ?

    hi,
i have to create an Edifact to XML Mapping with the BIC Mapping Designer. After creation i can deploy this mapping to SAP XI and calling it by using it as module in the specified adapter.
My idea is that the mapping should working correct in test enviroment before i deploy to SAP PI.
    Perhaps anyone has an idea.

  • How to import the IDOC into Seeburger BIC mapping designer

    Hi All,
Can u please tell me how to import the IDOC into Seeburger BIC mapping desginer.
I have scenario My scenario is SAP GTS 7.0.....>Seeburger BIS.....>Atlas customs system for Germany
Idoc coming from SAP GTS to Seeburger BIS and then convert to EDIFACT send
    to Atlas systeam.
    Regards,
    Ramesh.

    Hi Ramesh
BIC is a tool from Seeburger to transmit the XML data to EDI and EDI to XML.
Seeburger mapping programs for transferring the XML data to EDI data and EDI data to XML data, but not for the structure changing, in the IR your mapping program is same.
Receiver side you need AS2 Adapter for converting data to EDI target structure. we have many EDI versions are available, for converting the EDI to XML or vice versa AS2 gives some default mapping programs, xml to EDI or EDI to XML convertion done through this mapping programs.
Seeburger AS adapter provider provides some mapping programs(for example EDI4010 version or other), if you are using the same EDI version(4010) then you can use that mapping programs, if the version is different then we can manually generate the Seeburger X2E and E2X mappings for the corresponding version and signal(850 or 810 or ..), for this seeburger provides the mapping designer tool (BIC), there we can develope the X2E and E2X mapping programs and configure this in the Seeburger work bench.

  • Mappings_user.sca - Seeburger BIC Mapping Designer

    Hello experts,
I have read SAP note 1353318 about how to start the BIC adapter on PI 7.1.
Question: where do I get the file "mappings_user.sca" from? It says it is on the BIC Mapping Designer-CD, but the installation files I received via the Internet - I do not have the CD.
Can I somehow create that file with the BIC Mapping Designer that I have already installed?
Thank you for any hint you can give me!
    Best regards,
    Peter

    Hey peter,
go to your seeburger installation directorys bin folder and check for bicdesigner.ini file and add the  below cmd
CmdLnArgX=-ProjectAdmin  where X will be 4 (i.e. count of cmd line agrs used ) .
Then start the bic mapping designer tool and go to tools option there you can see a new option called Assign Projects to SDA, after that you can create a deploy file..This is new option provided by seeburger bic so that only project Admin can have rights of creating the deploy file.
If you still face any problems post the same..

  • Seeburger BIC Mapping Designer Material & Further Validations

    Hi Guys,
I was hoping if someone can point me to more material on BIC Mapping designer as only thing i have the standard PDF which came with it. However I need to do more stuff e.g. enhance validations and put a few more checks in. Was wondering If one available?
    regards

    Hi Mimranacc,
Can you please give me an example of the kind of validation that you would like to do?
SEEBURGER do have separate integration tool called SEEBURGER BIS(Business Integration Server).Check with any of your friends who are working on that. They can help you out for more material. Some times the content tend to change based on the version of BICMD do check that also .I don't think its available on SDN as its SEEBURGER proprietary content.
    Thanks,

  • Seeburger BIC mapping designer : querry

    Hi,
We have installed the SeeBurger BIC adapter. I have a querry regarding the mapping that we specify as a parameter to the BIC module in the modules tab of the communication channel.
Are there standard mappings provided with the installation for EDI -> XML and vice versa , and we simply need to provide the name of the mapping that needs to be used or do we need to develop the mappings from scratch using the BIC mapping designer.
If the first case is true then how to get the names of all the mappings that are provided so that we can make out which one do we need to use. If it is not so please help me with the BIC mapping designer manual path on the installation as we are not able to figure out the path to the manual.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pravesh Puria.

    Hi Babu,
<i>1."you can use these mappings in "Modules" of your seeburger communication channel."
    >> can we use these developed mappings with BIC MD in any communication channel of Seeburger like OFTP,FTP ,AS2 ,BIC or we need to use those mapping with only BIC communication channel?</i>
    >>> Yes Babu,You can use this in all communication channel modules .
one thing, "BIC" is not a seeburger adapter type.
You need to deploy BIC Mappings in your XI server.
You have to refer Seeburger manuals for this.
<i>2.lets say if we have developed mappping with BIC MD ,then do we need to develop mapping with XI mapper too or its not needed?but if we do mapping with Xi then data format will be of xml but it needs to be converted to/from EDI ,so how it can be possible just with XI maping and no BIC MD mapping?</i>
    >>> No, You Cannot do it in only  with XI Mapper.
First you need to use BIC Mapping in modules which will convert your EDIFACT format to EDI-XML.
After this you need to Apply XI Mapping Which will Convert EDI-XML to your IDOC-XML.i.e. your mapping program.

  • VLD-1141: Internal error during mapping generation.

I am getting the "VLD-1141: Internal error during mapping generation" error when deploying a mapping. This mapping was previously working fine. As part of a re-factoring effort, for all the underlying tables and views, we replace 2 existing columns with a new column. All the objects were successfully re-imported and synchronized in the mapping. The mapping is using Mapping Input Parameter, Lookups, Expression Transformations, Splitter, Set Operator, Source & Target Tables. All these transformation were part of the earlier working version of the mapping.
On doing validation within the mapping, I get a success message followed by 4 warning for the Lookup Condition on key Lookup does not contain a complete unique key. Before the re-factoring effort, I was getting the same 4 warning messages, however the mapping was executing correctly.
When I do Generate within the mapping, I get the following message:
    Code cannot be generated.
Click the message tab for details.
In the Design Center, when I do a validation on the mapping I get the following error:
VLD-1141: Internal error during mapping generation.

    Hi,
I think your mapping is corrupted by converting two columns to one. The owb has always a problem if you change the structure of a table which is bound to a table operator. The way to avoid this is to drop the table operator after changing the table in the table editor and recreate it with the changed table definition.
Make a test: select the new attribut in the table operator and look left on the configuration window. To which table and attribute it's bound?

    Hi,
Can anybody pls give me overview on BIC mapping designer?
--> THE BIC Mapping Designer responsible for managing the transformation of messages is an easy-to-use graphic tool, which gives the possibility of providing software for complicated transformations as well as quick performance for those which are less demanding.
This is a graphic tool for the purpose of defining data formats and the information flow diagram. The relation between the source and the destination can be defined easily by means of the drag & drop technology. It may also be extended by a big set of manuals, a code in the JAVA language may be used as well. This enables the implementation of the business logic for any application.
used for transforming and compressing data.
File adapters: EDIFACT, ANSI X.12, TRADACOM, VDA, ODETTE, SWIFT, Biz Talk, XML.
Servicing the data bases via JDBC , ODBC controllers.
    Message compression (GZIP,.. ).
    Dividing and joining files.
Data format and business logic converter.
    List printing generator, data-entry-mask generator.

--> BIC Mapping is required in case of EDI Messages, as Amir had already mention inprevious post if the messages are coming in XML format, then I don't think its mandatory to use.

  • Performance problem in Mapping Designer using UDF with external imports

    Hello,
we do have a big performance problem in developing (not in execution) graphical Mappings as far as we use "user defined functions" (UDF) with include-entries referencing to jar files which are imported as "imported archives".
For example the execution of invice mapping with a little bit bigger test file in the Mapping designer:
    - after opening, not in change mod: 6 seconds
    - after switching to change mod: 37 seconds (that's clear, now everything is compiled first)
    - after adding "com.seeburger.functions.permstore.CounterFactory;" into the "import" field of one UDF, no other change: 227 seconds
    - after saving and submiting the changlist (no longer in change mode): 6 seconds
    - after switching to change mode: 227 seconds
So execution speed of testing (and also when watching queues) only increases in changemod more then three minutes when using UDF with imports, referencing to external JAR files. It doesn't depend on Seeburger functions (we are using XI also for EDIFACT, so we also use some Seeburger functions), I can reproduce it with any other JAR file which is used from a UDF.
Using java included functions like "java.text.NumberFormat;" in "Import" doesn't slow down the testing.
Can anybody reproduce this? We are using XI 3.0 SP19 on a AIX machine, so we also have to use the Java version from IBM.
    cu
    Manfred

Problem was fixed by a upgrad of the JDK.

  • BIC Mapping designer for Vista

    Dear All,
Is anybody installed BIC mapping designer(Seeburger)  in Vista machine? Mapping designer was installed in my old XP machine and same installer is not working for Vista/Windows 7.

  • PI Seeburger Map Problem

    Hi,
Plzz help me on this issue,
I am working on edi to idoc scenarion using seeburger.
I want to map EDI850 to Idoc. In PI Repository I have standard Mappings with version 4010.BUt,
I need Version 4030 Mappings. Where do i get these version mappings.
Can  use same version mappings. Plzz help me on this.
    Thanks,
    Singh.

Hi Seenu/Singh ( Why mutiple names??),
When you say mappings, there are two types of mapping in Seeburger EDI scenarios.
    1) EDI2XML, XML2EDI mappings which convert the ED formatI to XML and vice versa.
    2) The actual EDIXML data to the IDOCXML data.
The first type of mappings, you should use BIC mapping designer to develop and then deploy in the PI server.
The second mapping, you have to create in your Integration repository(Within PI system).
The External definition that you see is not the one you want.
If you want to map the IDOC to the EDI 850 V4030, then you should do the following.
    1) Login into the physical server of the PI system using Remote Desktop (The userid and pwd are not the ones u use for logging into IR or ID. Contact your basis team to get access to the physical server of PI system)
    2) Open the file explorer in that system and navigate to a directory by name seeburger. Inder that you have to search for XSD file corresponding to your EDI Document and version.
    3) Copy that file and paste it on your desktop.
    4) Then open your IR.
    5) Right Click on the external definitions node and click on new.
    6) Then import the xsd file which is now tehre on your desktop into PI system.
    7) Now, create a message mapping under the mappings node.
    8) Drag your IDOC structure as the source and External Definition as your target.
    9) Then you can do your mapping as per the requirement.
