Error sfc /scannow in the build 9926, Help!!!

  
I installed (in italian)in clean install
the new build 9926 for Enterprise from
iso file, and running
sfc/scannown i by
the following error and stops at 9%
Windows Resource Protection: Can not perform the requested operation.
I tried to restore the system without any updates,
but the error persists. Also
using Dism /online /cleanup-image /Restore health,
gives me error!

  • Everytime I want to update the latest iTunes or iPhone software I get the following error message "Cannot open the URL" please help?

    I need to update my iTunes and my iPhone 3GS to the latest version and evertimes I click on "update" I get the following error message displayed - "cannot open URL".  I have checked the permissions on my windows firewall and iTunes is not blocked.  PLease can anyone give me some other suggestions as its really frustrating and I want to download ringtones etc but can't do so without the latest software versions of iOS etc.  Please help?  Thank you

  • CS2 AI Error "Could Not Complete The Requested Operation" HELP!!

    So I open AI this morning same as always and I get this error message "Could Not Complete The Requested Operation" Click OK and AI Crashes, reboot, restart - same thing. I did some digging around the web and found a few solutions..none worked, well sorta. If I delete all of the fonts on my machine I can get AI to open normally, as soon as I start putting fonts back in - errors start occuring again!
    HELP!! I have reinstalled, also to no avail.

    The machine (PC WINXP) won't allow you to delete certain fonts.
    I tried your idea, I have 1311 fonts currently installed, it will take hours and hours to test it out. I did some batches and AI continued to open till I got to the "C" fonts, then even 1 at a time I was never able to get AI open again. I would install a font, check AI, remove font, install a different font, check AI, same problem.
    Any other suggestions?

    What you are telling me is contradictory information. So you will have to start over and give us proper details. One can not download Leopard for example. Or even Snow Leopard.
    Can you also give me a screen shot showing me this exact error message on your system?

  • H8-1520t: sfc /scannow reported file corruption in Windows 8.1

    My computer (h8-1520t) computer had had file corruption error reported by sfc /scannow.
    The corruption was rather common corruption as discovered elsewhere on the internet.  The corruption pertained to prncacla.inf and it was repaired only by using DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth.  The corruption occured while the computer was doing automatic maintenance which locked up my system.  After forcing a shutdown and rebooting, I immediately ran sfc /scannow and that's when the corruption was first detected.
    Now sfc /scannow finds no corruption and automatic maintence runs to completion.
    Since this is a rather common corruption error and there's no explanation as to what causes the problem, should I send my computer, which it's still under warranty, back to HP ---or--- did I corrected the corruption properly ? ? ?
    On additional question: What on earth causes that common corruption to occur anyway.
    Also: UEFI diagnostics extensively run and the extensive testing revealed no problems with system board, hard drive, memory, processor (i7-3770), graphics card memory (Radeon HD 8570).
    If I should be concerned about my computer being a dud and lemon, I'd like to know... Or, did I fix the corruption correctly?

    You may want to review this article.
    If you are not comfortable with the Windows repair process then you can use the external HP recovery media to reload you PC back to a day one factory fresh condition.  Backup your data before doing so.

    I understand when you scan to email you're receiving a message stating cannot connect to server. I will do my best to assist you! Please follow this entire HP document on How to Scan: From the Control Panel (Including Scan to Email, to a PDF, and to a Network Folder) just to make sure everything is correct.
    If this doesn't work, then please follow these steps to try setting an alternative DNS to see if that resolves the issue:
    •    Open the Embedded Web Sever on your computer.
    •    Click the Network tab.
    •    Under Wireless click on IPv4.
    •    Under DNS Address Configuration select Manual.
    •    Set the Preferred address as 8.8.8.8
    •    Set the Alternate address as 8.8.4.4
    •    Click Apply twice to confirm the change.
    •    Turn the printer Off and back On and see if the issue is resolved.

  • Setting SSDT on the build server

    I’m having issues building the database project on the build server.
    I’m trying to setup our build server.  Our application was initial created using VS 2010 and then slowly we migrated to VS 2013. However the path inside all the individual project file (.csproj, .sqlproj) & build project file (.proj)
    is still V10.0. Based on research I did, it looks like I have to install Visual Studio 2010 on the build server in order SSDT to build.
    So I installed VS 2010 Professional on build server, then trying to install SSDT for 2010. However Microsoft no longer supports SSDT for VS 2010. Website says
    “We are no longer updating SSDT for Visual Studio 2010. Projects and DACPACs are fully compatible across shells. Please download the toolset for VS2012 or VS2013 using the links above for continued updates”
    So I installed SSDT for VS 2012.
    However it installed the SSDT into C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v11.0
    folder.
    But the build is looking into C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v10.0
    How do I solve this issue? Where can I find SSDT for VS 2010.

    lately  I'm stuck with build 9926
    when I check for updates it works,  and it even downloads some updates according to the logs
    but, that's about it ,  it's not updating anything.
    tried all the solutions on the internet
    I synced with the appstore. 
    but noting...

    From the information youposted, it seems to be Windows Update can't check for the updates, you may try to run Windows Update Troubleshooter first, it that didn't help, run the following command using the Windows 10 9926 ISO to repair:
    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image
    /RestoreHealth /source:WIM:F:\sources\install.wim:1
    /LimitAccess
    F: Drive stands for the mounted Windows 10 build 9926 ISO.

  • About the error: "The account is not authorized to login from this station" when you access NAS devices from Windows 10 Technical Preview (build 9926)

    Scenario:
    With the release of Windows 10 Technical Preview (build 9926), some users may encounter an error message of “The account is not authorized to login from this station” when trying to access remote files saved in NAS storage. In
    addition, the following error log may also be found via Event Viewer:
    Rejected an insecure guest logon.
    This event indicates that the server attempted to log the user on as an unauthenticated guest but was denied by the client. Guest logons do not support standard security features such as signing and encryption. As a result,
    guest logons are vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks that can expose sensitive data on the network. Windows disables insecure guest logons by default. Microsoft does not recommend enabling insecure guest logons.
    Background:
    The error message is due to a change we made in Windows 10 Technical Preview (build 9926) which is related to security and remote file access that may affect you.
    Previously, remote file access includes a way of connecting to a file server without a username and password, which was termed as “guest access”.
    With guest access authentication, the user does not need to send a user name or password.
    The security change is intended to address a weakness when using guest access.  While the server may be fine not distinguishing among clients for files (and, you can imagine in the home scenario that it doesn’t
    matter to you which of your family members is looking at the shared folder of pictures from your last vacation), this can actually put you at risk elsewhere.  Without an account and password, the client doesn’t end up with a secure connection to the server. 
    A malicious server can put itself in the middle (also known as the Man-In-The-Middle attack), and trick the client into sending files or accepting malicious data.  This is not necessarily a big concern in your home, but can be an issue when you take your
    laptop to your local coffee shop and someone there is lurking, ready to compromise your automatic connections to a server that you can’t verify.  Or when your child goes back to the dorm at the university. The change we made removes the ability to connect
    to NAS devices with guest access, but the error message which is shown in build 9926 does not clearly explain what happened. We are working on a better experience for the final product which will help people who are in this situation. 
    As a Windows Insider you’re seeing our work in progress; we’re sorry for any inconvenience it may have caused.
    Suggestion:
    You may see some workarounds (eg. making a registry change restores your ability to connect with guest access).
    We do NOT recommend making that change as it leaves you vulnerable to the kinds of attacks this change was meant to protect you from.
    The recommended solution is to add an explicit account and password on your NAS device, and use that for the connections.  It is a one-time inconvenience,
    but the long term benefits are worthwhile.  If you are having trouble configuring your system, send us your feedback via the Feedback App and post your information here so we can document additional affected scenarios.

  • Error 0x80070050 while updating Windows 10 TP Enterprise Build 9926

    Hello. I'm currently using Windows 10 TP Build 9926.
    Windows Update & Recovery tool indicates that there is new build of Windows 10 TP (Build 10041). Also there is update for Windows Defender (1.193.3002.0). But when I'm trying to install them process stop with error 0x80070050. Any suggestions pls?

    @ ALF_er, this version is for Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview 10041 build, it is recommended to perform a clean install, if you need the enterprise version for test, here is a workaround:

  • Win 8.1 sfc /scannow returns Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.

    I am running Windows 8.1 Pro.
    I have been experiencing problems that lead me to believe the my component store is corrupted.
    When I run sfc /scannow sfc immediately comes back with "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the required operation.

    Unfortunately, its a small, but unrecreatable subset of data.  If this is missing, servicing is broken on the machine and the system will need to be restored from backup or PBR.

    If you installed Windows 10 Technical Preview build 9926, you might have run into one or more of the following issues:
    1.     
    The PIN you set in a previous build was not preserved.
    2.     
    You are able to use the PIN to sign in, but you can’t change it in PC settings.
    3.     
    PIN doesn’t show up as a sign in option on the logon screen, even after creating it in PC settings. (This happens if you’re using a Microsoft account.)
    4.     
    When signing in with an Active Directory account, you see an “Object not found” error when you try to sign in using a PIN.

    hi ! i'm using win 7 proffessional 32bit tried to sfc /scannow it show could not be performed at 18%,so searched for solution to that most says run in safe mode ,but in my case it didn't help .what should i do ? i got some softwares running slow &
    system also a little slow,that's y checked sfc .please help me what to do ? what problem with ma computer to get that error?

    According to the log informaiton, this could be caused by an unsuccessful install of prior Windows Updates OR Custom MSI packages could have left over faulty registry
    keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS.
    Try the following steps to see if it could fix this problem:
    1.   
    Click Start, in the Start Search box, type regedit.
    2.   
    In the Programs list, click Regedit.exe.
    If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or click Continue.
    3.   
    Find and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\COMPONENTS
    4.   
    Right-click COMPONENTS.
    5.   
    Click Export.
    6.   
    In the File Name box, type COMPONENTS.
    7.   
    In the Save in box, click Desktop, and then click Save to save the file to your desktop.
    8.   
    In the details pane, right-click PendingXmlIdentifier, and then click Delete. If this value does not exist, go to the next step.
    9.   
    In the details pane, right-click NextQueueEntryIndex, and then click Delete. If this value does not exist, go to the next step.
    10.
    In the details pane, right-click AdvancedInstallersNeedResolving, and then click Delete. If this value does not exist, go to the next step.
    11.
    Restart the computer.
