Error Sim Card

I was going through the settings on my Droid Charge, and i clicked on the Lock Sim card and it locked up my phone. I fixed my phone eventually and now it has a little sign at the top that has a Sim card and an "!" next to it. I went to my phone status and it said that i didnt have a number, or anything. Is there a way i can fix it? Or do i need to get a new one??

That's the PUK Code to Get your Puk Code you need to go to My Verizon and Log in and you can Retrieve it there or Call 1-800-922-0204 Option 3 Tech Services and they can Get you Your PUK code.. b33

There is no way any fellow user here can know anything specific about your repair status.  You will need to call Apple and ask them yourself.

  • Error: sim card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported.

    Hi all--
Bought an iPhone 5 off ebay. It's totally wiped, and when I go to activate, I get a "Sim Not Valid" error on the phone, and "sim card inserted in this iphone does not appear to be supported" in iTunes.
It is an AT&T phone, and has an AT&T sim in it. Talked to AT&T, and they said it just needed to be unlocked. I got the seller to go through that process. However, the last step for unlocking is:
    1. Open iTunes on your Mac or PC and verify that you have Internet connectivity.
    2. Ensure the original SIM card that came with this device is inserted in your iPhone.
    3. Connect your iPhone using the dock connector to USB cable that came with your iPhone.
    4. Backup and restore your iPhone using iTunes.
I assume ideally, the seller was supposed to still have the phone and complete the unlock himself. But I have the phone and cannot backup and restore because I get the sim error in iTunes which blocks me from doing anything as far as I can tell.
Am I missing a step? Is there any way for me to complete the unlock, or do anything at all to get this phone working even as an iPod, other than sending it back to the seller?
    Thanks.
    Chris

Then return the phone to the seller and get your money back.
The symptoms you describe are typical of a phone that was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it at some point. Very often after doing so, when the phone is restored, it becomes completely unable to activate even on the carrier it was originally locked to.

  • Samsung Galaxy S4 Error - SIM Card Removed - Unable to detect your SIM card.

I am having the same problem. The problem still occurs even after the 5.0.1 Lollipop update.

I've been having this issue as well. It did not occur on the stock 4.2.2 firmware. It started out at 4.3, where my signal would appear as no bars (not a crossed out circle, just 0 bars). I would have to enter airplane mode, or restart my phone to fix it. In 4.4, it changed to stating my sim card was not detected and I would have to restart my phone. In 5.0, it started out by having a no service (crossed out circle) signal, progressed to no sim card - restart.
I got the same line of crap from Samsung and AT&T that the rest of you have. First person I talked to was Samsung (their hardware, their problem). They told me, much like many of you have seen -
    1. Release the cache from the update (didn't work).
    2. Reset the phone to factory settings (didn't work).
    3. Go down to the Galaxy Experience Center at BestBuy to get a download for the OS files (didn't work)
    4. The Samsung guy at BestBuy stated there were 2 recourses available
--a. Send my phone to the Samsung repairs in Texas for free under warranty, or $70 outside it, to fix it
--b. Go to AT&T and get the SIM card replaced, although it likely wouldn't work.
--I countered with I could also do c. rollback my firmware to 4.2.2. He warned me doing so would void my warranty, and that I could possibly brick my phone. I told him my phone was well outside of the shoddy 1 year warranty, and that I understood the risks in changing firmware versions.
    5. Went to AT&T to get the SIM card replaced. The AT&T employee stated that he had heard of the issue, and the last 2 people who replaced it didn't get the issue fixed that way. Replaced the SIM card. (Didn't work)
    6. Called AT&T, asked if there were network upgrades being done to the 3 nearby towers, they stated no, but that this issue was a known issue and that it would be at the manager's discretion to replace my phone as it was out of warranty.
So I perused the internet some more, saw an interesting post. 1 person decided to go to Application Manager and disable all of AT&T and Samsung's bloatware. Others followed suit and it worked for them. I tried it myself, and had fixed my phone for a while. The problem for me was that I had my phone set to auto download updates. The issue returned today, if you can't tell.
I checked my updates, and saw Android System WebView was recently updated. I rolled it back just in case, but I am going to go through my phone once again to see what other bloatware is left.
It would make sense that it was added bloatware that has broken our connections, as bloatware has been added in each firmware update.
    [edit for missed step]

  • Trying to use 3 SIM card in SIM-free 6260

Hi there. My Nokia 6280 has to be sent back to Three for repair, so I'm trying to get my Three SIM card to work in my old Nokia 6260, which I bought SIM free so is not tied to any particular network. When I boot up it just gives me the error "SIM card rejected". Is this because my 3 SIM is a newer design that is not compatible with the 6260, or are all SIMs interchangeable? Is it because my 3 SIM is faulty? (it works fine in my 6280). Is there any other unblocking I need to do to get it to work? Any help much appreciated. Cheers

Indeed, all common complaints with the 6280 on 3 UK.
Most of them are network related regardless of what 3 say in my opinion.
Calls on a 3G network require more power than on GSM, which can cause the heat issues, temperamental reception is due to the handset always seeking the strongest signal be it 3G or GSM and can cause the battery problems as well. You can't lock it to GSM only mode because 3 have disabled the option on the handset because when you roam on to their 2G partner network which at the moment is o2 and is soon to be Orange it costs 3 money.
Anyways, the latest firmware version is 5.92 and does fix plenty of common 6280 problems, however I am not 100% sure if 3 UK have clear it for use on their 6280's. Something for you to enquire about at the service centre.
Best of luck by the way in getting fixed.

  • No SIM card error

I'm getting a no SIM card error. When I got a new SIM card it now says no service! My cell provider assures me it's not on their end, which makes sense as we have 2 more iPhones on the same account! Any ideas?

I would try to verify the steps taken in this article:

-If after you do all steps and issue still isnt resolved I would contact Apple Store or Apple Care (phone service) tell them all the steps you have done and look into replacement options.

It sounds a lot like your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it prior to your trying to update it.
If that is the case, it is nowpermanently bricked.

  • HT3960 My iPhone will not update. it keeps asking me to restore but then says there's an internal error -1. At first it wouldn't update saying there was no SIM Card. This was a used phone that i had the SIM Card replaced

Got a used iPhone4 to replace my lost one, had the screen replaced and then had the SIM card replaced by Best Buy.
They had issues in the store connecting to iTunes but the Geek Squad where they wiped it and said all was good.
Got home to update it and all was good up to the point where i needed to have the phone to work.
Then it wouldn't recognize there was a SIM card and to restore my phone.
it comes up now with unable to restore, unknown error -1

  • I have an iphone that I just deactivated (SIM card removed) - I still want to sync with iTunes but keep getting error message that there is no SIM card installed?

I have an iphone 3GS that I have inactivated as of today. I still wish to sync this phone with iTunes (did a restore as I transferred my data to a new iPhone).  However, iTunes is giving me an error message that there is no SIM card installed in the iPhone I'm attempting to activate.  I've powered off the phone, held the power button & home button until iTunes popped up with restore note.  Re-did the restore (twice) but still coming up with same error message.

Kind of what I figured.....will I be able to sync to iTunes in future as many times as I want without the SIM card (once it's activated again)?

    Hi @imobl,
You sound like an Apple support guy who hasn't been able to answer my questions.
To respond to some of the points you made,
    - I did not ignore Ocean20's suggestion. If you has read my post, you would have known that I took my phone to the apple service centre where they tried this restore on THEIR machines. I am assuming that Apple guys know how not to block iTunes. So I actually do not understand your point about me trying the hosts file changes on my machine. Do you not believe that apple tested this issue with the correct settings?
    - you also give a flawed logic of why the issue is a hardware issue. You mentioned that If I thought that the issue was with the software, i should try a restore and getting it to work. The problem is that my error (23), and many others comes up when the restore fails. And you would be astonished to know that not all errors are hardware errors. Sometimes even software errors prevent restores. Funnily enough Apple itself mention that 'in rare cases, error 23 could be hardware related'.
    - all Apple has done so far is replicate the issue. I don not know how anyone can conclude that the issue is a hardware issue.
And by the way, I am not certain that this is a software bug. Again if you read my Posts, you will notice I only want a confirmation,/proof that the issue is hardware related as they mention..
Please refrain do. Responding if there is nothing to add.

  • SIM card error - Brand new iPhone 4

    Hi,
I bought a brand new (SEALED) and unlocked iPhone 4 today from someone and also picked up a microsim card from Rogers too. I popped the simcard into the phone and called Rogers to activate it over the phone. The microsim was activated but when I connected to iTunes, I got the error (which most of you guys are getting today) - "the SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not appear to be supported". I called Rogers and gave them my IMEI and ICCID (both of which I can see on the lock screen) and they told me that this was an issue with an overload due to the demand for OS5. They escalated my case to the technical team higher up and told me I couldn't do anything but wait it out.
As you can see, my problem is a bit different because I never tried to upgrade to iOS5 in the first place. I can't even activate my phone let alone try to upgrade the OS! Anyone in the same boat as me? I was thinking maybe I got tricked and my phone wasn't actually unlocke but Rogers didnt say anything regarding that.
    Brian

I have the same issue. Did it got sorted out..if yes, please guide me.. I am in a real trouble..
