Hi,
there are two thing in this issue.
first
It looks like the upgrade which you done is not happen correctly.
Revert the back the upgrade and restart the the server again.
Second
rename the Ldap folder of you managed server and restart the server again.

I have also tried in console, that too fails.
Help me out to resolve this.

Thiru.Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
My Admin server is running fine. The msi-config.xml, SerializedSystemIni.dat, boot.properties files are in the same directory. When I exceute the command
startManagedWebLogic.sh <managed server name> it shows the same exception

From the admin console ... Are you able to check the status of Node Manager ?
If yes ... please check the SSL configuration of managed servers ...
Check the domain administration port also.

--- End of stack traceI found the solution . The reason for this is that JRockit's High Performance Thread
System uses asynchrounous I/O "under the hood". Weblogic's Native I/O is also asynchronous.
The two asynchronous I/O systems clash and the result is the error you see.
There are two ways around this problem. Either disable JRockit's High Performance
Thread System (or thinthreads) by using the -Xnativethreads command line flag, or
disable Weblogic's Native I/O.
For Weblogic 6.0 and higher, edit the config.xml file. Find the line saying NativeIOEnabled="true"
and change this to NativeIOEnabled="false".
For Weblogic 5.1 you edit the file weblogic.properties and change the line weblogic.system.nativeIO.enable=true
to
weblogic.system.nativeIO.enable=false

Error configuring and starting Managed Server in WebLogic 10.3
Hi,
I am able to configure and start the Managed Server on windows environment. I am trying to configure Managed Server on linux environment. I am configuring the Managed Server with custom keystore. When I configured the Managed Server I specified the keystore/trustsote information in the Keystores tab of the Admin Console for Managed Server settings. Specified Private Key Alias, Password in SSL tab.But when I am starting the Managed Server from command line, I see the process looking for demo trust files and failing.
Here is the command I run to start the Managed Server:
./startManagedWebLogic.sh MyManagedServer1 https://localhost.localdomain:8443
Below is the console output:

Why is it looking for demotrust.jks file to start the Managed Server. We don't use the demo trust and cannot copy to the location it is referring to. I followed the solution provided at the below link:
http://serverfault.com/questions/106499/custom-trust-and-custom-identity-keystore-in-weblogic-10-3
There are 2 options given in the link. To update the boot.properties of the Admin Server and appending JAVA_OPTIONS to DomainEnv file. Both of these caused the failure of Admin Server. I couldn't bring up the server after these changes.I also came across posts talking about boot.properties for Managed Server. I don't see the security folder that has boot.properties for my Managed Server (verified it on both windows and linux boxes).
Thanks in advance.

Before I'm using WebLogic 9.2.0 and the managed server can startup without any issue. Now, my environment is upgraded to WebLogic 9.2.1 and I'm experiencing a couple of problems. The major problem is that I cannot start my managed server anymore even if the node manager and admin servers are running. Error logged are as follows:

GT -
Hi,
During installation of SOA 11g, i am facing problem in starting the managed server.
Iam using the following components with versions:
1. Weblogic Server 10.3.2.0
2. RCU ofm_rcu_win32_11.1.1.2.1_disk1_1of1.zip
3. SOA Suite 11.1.1.3.0
Configured the weblogic sever and initialized successful.
But unable to initialize the managed server.
I entered in the command prompt the following line to start the Managed server:
D:\soapractice\middleware\home_11gR1\user_projects\domains\domain1\bin>D:\soapra
ctice\middleware\home_11gR1\user_projects\domains\domain1\bin\startManagedWebLog
ic.cmd soa_server1

Regards,
Arun MCheck the connection string in the datasources. You can check in two ways.
Login to WLS Admin Console. Navigate to JDBC -> Data Sources. You will be seeing around 7 data sources. Check the connection string value of each data source.
or
Navigate to $DOMAIN_HOME/config/jdbc. You can see the data source configuration xml files. Check the connection string is proper there. Also make sure that, DB machine is pingable from the SOA server machine. -
How to start managed server on Weblogic 9.1 Admin console with jRockit

Error starting managed server in a cluster
Hi,
Now am facing an issue while starting managed servers. Its only selective managed servers( 3 out of 8) . All are configured in the same way but the servers come to warning state after a restart.
The error is given below
<Emergency> AdminServer not reachable at http://192.44.12.147:7001

Please let me know from where this error comes. The weblogic server is running in devleopment mode only. So not sure where the authentication failed. Also is there any problem with the configuration done??? I need to know the root cause so as to avoid in future. Also I cannot reboot the servers as and when desired (to solve the issue). Please help
Thanks,
Charan
Edited by: charan27 on Aug 6, 2010 12:59 AMHi Charan,
if your ManagedServers are not in Configured for MSI Mode (Managed Server Indepence Mode) then you wont be able to start your Servers until the AdminServer is Already Running. I can see that the Exception u pasted that...your AdminServer is not reachable....It may be due to AdminServer Vs ManagedServer BOX Network Issue or Your AdminServer might be down when u tried to start the ManagedServer.
Thanks

Boot permission error starting managed server using startManagedWebLogic
Hello
I have a clustered WLS environment and am having problems starting the managed server from the command line using startManagedWebLogic.cmd script. The managed server starts without any problems from the admin console. Using the startManagedWebLogic.cmd script and the same login as I use for admin console, I am getting the following error when I execute:
startManagedWebLogic MyServer http://localhost:7001
Error displayed is:
<09-Aug-2005 14:21:46 o'clock BST> <Critical> <Security> <BEA-090404> <User vgnadmin is no
t permitted to boot the server; The server policy may have changed in such a way that the
user is no longer able to boot the server.Reboot the server with the administrative user a
ccount or contact the system administrator to update the server policy definitions.>
The WebLogic Server did not start up properly.
Reason: weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException: User vgnadmin is not permitted
to boot the server; The server policy may have changed in such a way that the user is no l
onger able to boot the server.Reboot the server with the administrative user account or co
ntact the system administrator to update the server policy definitions.
Has anyone come accross this problem before? What can I do to run the managed server from command line?
My environment details:
OS: Windows 2000 Server SP3
WebLogic Server 8.1 SP2 (clustered with a single node)
Thanks in advance for your help.I have the same issue. However I am using ALES (Weblogic Enterprise Security) with WLS SP3.
Mine could be an ALES specific issue. Let me know if you have any updates. -

Error starting managment server from command line
I tried to start the managment server from the command line like this:
<jvm_home>/bin/jrcmd <pid start_management_server
and I'm getting the following error:
<pid> Not enough storage is available to run this command
The system has plenty or resources. I'm unsure what storate the command refers too.
The pid was found by using tasklist /svc at the command line to find the pid matching the domain service name.
this is jrockit 1.42_13What operating system are you on? What is the complete version of JRockit ("java -version" will tell)?
