Hi,
Modify license server from add/remove program but do not check the B1i event sender in the select feature.
Probably, the B1i event ender is not installed correctly.

Can I Install Exchange 2003 System Management Tool on Windows Server 2008?

    Hi,
Exchange 2003 System Management Tool is not supported on Windows Server 2008 as well. As a workaround, you can install it on Windows XP. Here is a helpful article for your reference.

  • Management Pack for Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP1

    Hello,
I tried to manage the performance of a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP1 (6.0.6001) but SCOM 2007 R2 just check the availability with a ping status.
I have installed the normal management packs:
On the same SCOM, I have servers with Windows Server 2008 R2 and they work perfect.
    What can I do?

    Hi Journey Tinoco,
Performance can be monitored by using the active alerts TAB where a alert / alerts will be triggered based on the default management pack which you have installed / imported or if you have created a custom monitor based on your preference on what performance
counter you want to monitor on windows server 2008 servers VIA SCOM.
Or you can pull server performance report specific for Windows server 2008 from the reporting TAB as per the below screen shot for details.
The one which you are opened is the health explorer view which is not showing much details.
Go to reporting TAB ===> Select Windows server 2008 operating system monitoring and then What ever appropriate report you need to pull based on your requirement. For example i have pulled a report below for "Operating system performance.
Over here Click object and select the computer name and the icon should be a Windows serve / Computer as per the icon in my screen shot below. Select the time and date from and to the report you want and dont touch the add object option. Once done click
the Run button on the left to you will get the report as below.
Please note: If the below report is what you are looking for is not available in your SCOM's  reporting TAB. Then you have not installed the reporting Management pack for Windows server 2008 monitoring. Download
    it from the below link.

  • To install Remote Desktop Services User CAL on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition with SP1

    Dear Sir,
Presently we have installed Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition with SP 1. And now i would like to install Remote Desktop Services User CAL on this server. I have 25 digit product key of Windows Server
2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services User CAL (20). Downloaded this product key from our MSDN Subscriptions.
Kindly suggest me how to install (CAL server with product key that i have) and configure remote desktop services on my above existing server also how to point other server with my CAL server.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    1. Install Remote Desktop Session Host and Remote Desktop Licensing Role Services using Server Manager.
    2. Open RD Licensing Manager (licmgr.exe), Activate your server, then install your license
    3. In RD Session Host Configuration (tsconfig.msc), set the Licensing mode to Per User and Specify your RD Licensing server name (itself).  If you want you may configure these two settings via group policy setting instead.  The path of the
group policy settings is Computer Configuration\ Administrative Templates\ Windows Components\ Remote Desktop Services\ Remote Desktop Session Host\ Licensing
    4. You may point other RDSH servers to your RD Licensing server using RD Session Host Configuration or via group policy as mentioned above.
    5. Optionally you may consider installing other Remote Desktop Role Services such as RD Gateway, RD Web Access, RD Connection Broker, etc.

  • Error 0x800f024b installing x86 driver on Windows Server 2008

When attempting to install updated versions of my Lexmark Universal v2 PS3 x86 drivers on 2 of my Windows 2008 clustered print servers, I am receiving the following error screen:  "Unable to install Lexmark Universal Universal v2 PS3,
Type 3 - User Mode, x86 driver.  Operation could not be completed (error 0x800f024b)".  I have 55 other Windows Server 2008 file and print servers that I have not had any issues doing this upgrade to.  It only happens on my 2 clustered
    print servers.

I believe the issue is not installing the driver in the spooler context but adding the driver to the driverstore.  On a cluster the driver is added remotely (yes even on the active node) and the addition to the driverstore also travels the remote install
path.   There was some issue we fixed for Lexmark due to some long string or something in this context but I can't find the information.
Are you running Server 2008 or 2008R2?

    Hi Zargar,
    >>Using server 2008 R2 and the clients are Windows 7 Professional; i am getting empty start menu.
This is normal, for we disabled the option
Move the contents of Start Menu to the new location. This option is enabled by default and it will automatically move the existing content to the new location.
At this moment, we can manually copy the files we want from the local locations.

  • Getting error while installing MSSQL 2005 SP2 Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 1

    Hi,
We are getting error while we are installing MSSQL 2005 SP2.
It gives me the following error
    No Qualifying Product
    ===================
This machine does not have a product that matches this installation package.
I am pretty new to MSQL. Any help to solve this is much more appreciated.

    Hello,
It seems you downloaded Service Pack 2 for SQL Server 2005 alone, that download does not install a SQL Server 2005 instance.
You might have to download and install SQL Server 2005 and then proceed to apply service packs related to that version of SQL Server.
    Hope this helps.

  • FSRM Service not running and Quota Management not working in Server 2008 R2

    Hi,
First of all, I would like to start from beginning. I installed File Server Resource Manager in our Windows Server 2008 R2. We were especially using it for Quota Management. And we aren't using C drive but instead F drive (different volume) for quota management.
Suddenly one day, it stopped working therefore, I assumed that maybe if I restart it would have worked but unlike Linux which usually works, it didn't work. Now I can't get my File Server Resource Manager to start. The error which I get can be seen below:-
File Server Resource Manager Service error: Unexpected error.
    Operation:
Checking the File Server Resource Manager global configuration store.
Starting File Server Resource Manager Service.
    Error-specific details:
Error: CGlobalStoreManager::Install(), 0x80070005, Access is denied.
I did some research and there were very limited results but none of them worked.
I tried going into System Volume Information on both C drive and F drive. I tried going inside
SRM folder removing quota.xml and readding but to no avail. Finally, I removed the
File Server Role and reinstalled but it didn't really work. I still have the same problem.

    Hi,
My first thought is also "System Volume Information" folder. So let's try the following steps again to make sure that it is fully tested.
Run the following commands. You can copy to a BAT file instead of manually run all commands:
    cd \
    takeown /r /F "System Volume Information" /D Y
icacls "System Volume Information" /grant Administrator:(F)
    cd "System Volume Information"
    takeown /r /F srm /D Y
    icacls srm /grant system:(F)
    cd srm
    takeown /f quota.xml
    icacls quota.xml /grant System:(F)
    takeown /f settings
    icacls settings /grant system:(F)
    cd settings
    takeown /f reportsettings.xml
    takeown /f srmglobalsettings.xml
    icacls reportsettings.xml /grant System:(F)
    icacls srmglobalsettings.xml /grant System:(F)
    icacls srmglobalsettings.xml /grant System:(F)
    cd ..
    icacls reports /grant System:(F) /inheritance:e /T /C
    icacls reports/* /grant System:(F) /T
Then reboot and see the result.
If issue still exists, check if SYSTEM and local Administrators group have Full Control permission on all these folders:
    C:\windows\tasks
    C:\system volume information\srm
    C:\windows\system32\srm

  • Bunch of errors in Windows Server 2008 R2

    Hi everyone,
I've searched Technet and all the Internet for a clear solution or any clue that could help me solve this issue, but didn't manage.
Recently Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 started to frequently and spit out bunch of errors that are connected to each other in my opinion, but I have no idea what is causing them and why they started to appear so suddenly.
    Those errors are (ID):
    TermDD (50, 56)
    Group Policy (1058, 1080, 1006, 1079, 1110)
    Schannel (36888)
    Sometimes also
Distributed COM (10010) and NETLOGON (5719)
In first step I did the update of the servers and disabled chimney offloading, but it didn't solve the problem. I found couple of technet's articles describing SIMILAR problems, but I have no idea if they are describing exactly what I need.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2643970/en-us
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2519736/en-us

    Hi team,
I'm having an error when I'm trying to deploy service pack 1 of Windows Server 2008 R2. I try this scenario installing the SP1 in a workgroup machine and the results were successful. But when I'm trying to install in my Domain it doesn't work. Later I remove

What permissions in files or procedures can I implement for having a successful deploy of Service Pack 1 in my Domain?

  • Forms based system on App server 10.1.2.2 windows server 2008 questions

    Hi guys,
We run a 10g forms based MRP system. We converted to 10g 3 years ago and have been selling our system without issue now for that time.
The current system has a shelf life of at least 3 more years whilst we develop a new system in 11g and jdeveloper.
We currently deploy on windows 2003 R2 with app server 10.1.2.2.
We cant move to patchset 10.1.2.3 as they are not backward compatible with our JAR file and we do not have the man power to upgrade all our customers in a short space of time.
Eventually 2003 will cease to be available (not sure the shelf life on this, has anyone any idea?)
Which leaves Server 2008 as the only available server. This does not work with 10.1.2.2.. so we are struggling to find a way round our issues.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
We have just run it through with the same patchset for the installer. This is a clean install of Win OS and installed the 10g database first.
We receive the following error when installing the App Server (Forms & Reports)

When we type NET HELPMSG 3547 (as suggested), we receive the following error message:
*"A service specifig error occurred: ***."*
Are you running Windows Server 2008 (first release) or Windows Server 2008 R2?
Any suggestions? I will try installing the App Server without installing the database now to see if that makes any difference.

You want to install AD on an Internet Server?
According to your description your server has one public IP-address and
no internal IP-address and you want to install AD on this Internet

Can you tell us the intended use of this server. Do you want to host

If you have a second NIC and your DC is on another local machine I
would not expose your local AD on an public accessible server. If this

If you want to access data on this server via Internet securely I would
recommend a VPN solution - preferably not running on the server itself
but on a separate firewall between the server and the internet. In this
case I would have no see a big security problem running AD on this
    server.
