Error starting the Planning application, review the event log for details

We are using the Hyperion Demo and there was a problem suddenly cropped up.
While rebooting the system error is displayed saying - Atleast one of the driver is not installed.
VMware is used to access the Hyperion Demo and when Planning application is started it gives the following error:
Error starting the Planning application, review the event log for details
We were using this Demo from some weeks and was able to access the workspace and others but from few days this issue is faced.
Immediate response is highly appreciated as we are planning for a user demo in the weekend.
Thanks,
Ravi Kanth

    Hi,
For a better troubleshooting, I suggest you do as follows:
1.Try to install Service Bus 1.1 before update CU2.
    http://www.wictorwilen.se/issue-when-installing-workflow-manager-1.0-refresh-using-powershell
2.PowerShell 3.0 must be installed on the computer to be updated.
3.Check whether install Workflow Manager Client 1.0 on your computer.
4.Make sure you have administrative credentials on the computer.
If the issue still exists, you can also open a ticket to Microsoft Support to get more specific suggestions according to the actual scenario in your environment:
    https://support.microsoft.com/?wa=wsignin1.0

  • Issue with LCM while migrating planning application in the cluster Env.

    Hi,
Having issues with LCM while migrating the planning application in the cluster Env. In LCM we get below error and the application is up and running. Please let me know if anyone else has faced the same issue before in cluster environment. We have done migration using LCM on the single server and it works fine. It just that the cluster environment is an issue.
    Error on Shared Service screen:
Post execution failed for - WebPlugin.importArtifacts.doImport. Unable to connect to "ApplicationName", ensure that the application is up and running.
    Error on network:
    “java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out”
ERROR - Zip error. The exception is -

    at java.net.SocketOutputStream.write(SocketOutputStream.java:136)
    at java.io.BufferedOutputStream.flushBuffer(BufferedOutputStream.java:65)

    Hi,
First of all, if your environment for source and target are same then you will have all the users and groups in shared services, in that case you just have to provision the users for this new application so that your security will get migrated when you migrate the from the source application. If the environs are different, then you have to migrate the users and groups first and provision them before importing the security using LCM.
Coming back to the process of importing the artifacts in the target application using LCM, you have to place the migrated file in the @admin native directory in Oracle/Middleware/epmsystem1.
Open shared services console->File system and you will see the your file name under that.
Select the file and you will see all your exported artifacts. Select all if you want to do complete migration to target.
Follow the steps, select the target application to which you want to migrate and execute migration.
Open the application and you will see all your artifacts migrated to the target.
If you face any error during migration it will be seen in the migration report..
    Thanks,
    Sourabh

  • Unable to see the planning applications

    Hi All,
I'm using hyperion 11.1.2. I've created a planning application in workspace. Now if i'm using the URL http://localhost:8300/HyperionPlanning, i'm unable to see any planning applications in the drop down ? where as i'm able to access applications in workspace. Do i need to make any settings to see the applications using this URL ? Pls. advice
    Thanks,
    PVR

As it looks like you only need the default cluster I would start up the configurator, select planning, manage planning clusters.
Choose "Re-Associate Cluster and Application", select default and choose an application, apply, repeat this for all the planning applications.
    Choose Activate Cluster, select default.
Then you can delete the cluster that is not needed.
    Cheers

  • Security filter setup missing in one of the planning applications

We noticed recently that our users in one of the planning applications were not able to access any data.
Then we noticed that the entire security filter setup went missing/wipped out for that application and had to set up manually and then a security refresh had to be done to restore security.Any suggestions about the root cause for this issue. We have not been able to find out much about this
    Thanks

It would have been curious if you would have gone to Essbase and sync from Shared Services in the security section to see if the security filters would have repopulated in planning.Filters are stored on the essbase side (essbase.sec) and not in shared services so I wouldn't of thought syncing from HSS to essbase would make any difference

    Hi,
If you are running planning as a service could you stop the service, then run planning server from the start menu.
If you try and log in again it should produce some error messages.
    Cheers

  • An Error Occurred While Processing This Page. Check The Log For Details. Pl

    Hi,
I started getting this error while opening the app
Application was working fine. All of a sudden this error came while opening the application.
" An Error Occurred While Processing This Page. Check The Log For Details. Please Close The Current Tab and Open Application Again."
I cannot see calc manger rules for this means in calc manager I am not able to see this app.
    Also, in logs I see
java.lang.RuntimeException: Error loading objects from data source: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
I am not able to get why this is occurring.
    Any help?

If it is not important then you can try deleting and recreating the application, if you want to be sure after you delete the application then drop/recreate the Oracle schema.
If you have problems deleting the application and have to remove it manually the following post might be helpful Planning 11.1.1.3 - Manually Delete a Classic Application

  • When trying to create connection using Contribute 6.5, get error message "Unknown error.  Please see the log for detail."  The log says "Network connection timed out."  What do I do now?

Have been using Contribute 6.5, and earlier versions, for years with Hostway without any problems.  All of a sudden I cannot create a connection to our website.  Tried to chat with Adobe a twice now and got no help.  Yesterday they started a chat with me, then ended the session without any communication!  My problem has been going on for several weeks now.  I uninstalled Contribute, downloaded and installed again, but it did not help.  Hostway had me connect with Zilla and everything worked fine.  So, they say the problem is with Adobe.    The last attempt ended with "Unknown error. Please see the log for detail."  The log says "Network operation timed out."  Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi There,
Can you please try using any other Internet connection outside your company's network and see if it is working? Alternatively, Can you please try the below settings from the Advanced... Menu while creating the connection using FTP details and try to create the connection again:
