Error: The name 'HttpUtility' does not exist in the current context

G'day,
My attempt to complete tutorial 'How to create a basic RSS reader for Windows Phone' (http://goo.gl/pLBHaL) has been unsuccessful, with the above-mentioned error generated on F5.
I have successfully installed, after some hiccups, OData Client Tools for Windows Phone Apps.
Any pointers would be appreciated.

And for Windows Phone 8.1 you should use WebUtility rather than HttpUtility:

Windows phone and mvc projects are working fine and I've installed all the updates and even tried to fix vs 2013.
Any help Is greatly appreciated.

I did some more investigation and noticed that if I create an app with a "." in the name then this problem occurs. For example create a windows store project with the default name "App1": this will compile.
However if I name the project "App1.Forms" to correspeond with the default namespace I want, then this problem occurs. Still investigating but anyone should be able to repro it with that step.

I am new to the c# scripting and SSIS come from PHP and Foxpro.
I am using SSIS with a script task and I am getting am errror "The name 'file' does not exist in the current context" in the following code in the picture below: (See

I think you forgot { and } after the loop... Or is that deliberately?

Build Error : The name "LocalizedStrings" does not exist in the namespace

I have localised my app to 5 languages, it builds and runs perfectly in Silverlight, but when i open the project in Blend to make changes
it shows the following error
The name "LocalizedStrings" does not exist in the namespace "clr-namespace:appname".
Since it is bound, i need to build it, only then the text is visible :(

Did you try to build the application (Project->Build in Visual Studio) ? If the error doesn't go away then and you have no other compilation errors (if you do you need to fix these first), you should replace "FolderExplorer" with the namespace
in which the Folder class resides. If you haven't explicitly declared a namespace, you will find the name of the default namespace under Project->Properties->Root namespace. Copy the value from this text box to your XAML:
xmlns:my="clr-namespace:FolderExplorer"
The default namespace is usually the same as the name of the application by default so if your application is called "FolderExplorer" you should be able to build it.
If you cannot make it work then please upload a reproducable sample of your issue to OneDrive and post the link to it here for further help.

we are using VS 2013. i have created new build definition and run that created build its getting failed and showing error message as "The type or namespace name 'VisualStudio' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft' (are you missing an assembly
reference?)" and "The type or namespace name 'WinComboBox, UITestControl, WinTitleBar.....etc' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)". in the error log is showing the error number are "error CS0234
& error CS0246".
Actually i have created build for automation execution from MTM lab environment. i have to assign the build to the test plan. once the build is passed , i will assign to the test plan and run with automation options.
if i build the solution its getting successfully build. but when i run the created build definition it show the error message's.
Could you guide me how to resolve the above error's ?

It means your project cannot find the proper reference to your type "Visual Studio" from the namespace Microsoft.
May I ask this question, does your build definition means something like the following blog described?

"A build definition is the mechanism that controls how and when builds occur for team projects in TFS. "
If that is the problem, may I ask whether your build agent is in the same machine where you build your application?
The build agent will first search for the reference from its local GAC and if it cannot find it, the error like you said will reports. Please manually build your project from your build agent machine to see the result, or install Visual Studio to your build
agent machine. In that way I think your problem may fixed.

I am getting the error below but only on Azure, everything builds and runs fine on multiple machines running locally. But when I deploy to Azure I get the error below trying to login. Not even sure where to start researching this one

I suggest you could re-configure your web configuration follow those solutions The name 'model' does not exist in current context in MVC3
and
Razor View throwing “The name 'model' does not exist in the current context” .
And then you could try to deploy project to azure again. I think this error may be disappeared. Please try it.

'ServerProperty' with 'Name' = 'Language' does not exist in the collection

LS,
One of my customers (using ssas 2012) is facing collation issues which result in missing facts in the cubes. I suggested them to have a look at the Analysis Server Properties. Howevere, on selection of the Analysis Services Properties page 'Language-Collation',
it doesn't open the page showing the properties, but instead the following message pops up:
'ServerProperty' with 'Name' = 'Language' does not exist in the collection
Any ideas on what could have caused this and how it can be fixed ?
We're considereing a restart of the SSAS server, but need to be very carefull because it's their production environment.

I am also experiencing this error when clicking on the Language/Collation page of the Analysis Services Properties dialog.
I suspect this is causing some other strange behavior such as an "invalid characters in hierarchy names" error when deploying an SSAS database, when the same solution/project can be deployed successfully from other machines. In that case, there are parenthesis
in the attribute name but no user-defined hierarchies. Error:
Errors in the metadata manager. The name, 'Project ID (Description)', for the cube hierarchy is not valid because this name is a reserved word, contains one or more invalid characters (.,;'`:/\*|?"&%$!+=()[]{}<>), or is longer than 100 characters.
I would like to avoid having to re-install SSAS if at all possible. Any help is much appreciated.

You seem to have made a copy of the standard program. You'll have to make sure that you are handling this field correctly in your code.

Visual studio 2012 the name "initializeControl" does not exist in the namespace in visual WebPart

I'm trying to create a visual webpart in SharePoint 2013 using Visual Studio 2012 and I am seeing that the file ascx.g.cs
is missing and i have this error in file ascx.cs : the name "initializeControl" does not exist in the namespace.
And like i said i use VS2012 Ultimate

In most scenarios this is caused by some error in code preventing Visual Studio from generating the designer file. You could try to undo the latest changes and see whether the item is being generated or not. Additionally you could try checking if the custom
tool is still associated with the Visual Web Part SPI in the Properties Window.

The name "Pi" does not exist in the namespace "clr-namespace:PressureVessels".

Pi is the name of a class.
I made some major modification to the program in VS 2013, then after transferring the program to another PC with VS 2012 running, I am getting many errors that says:
The name "ClassName" does not exist in the namespace "clr-namespace:PressureVessels".

Cleaning removes all the stuff out your bin.
If all this stuff is in the one solution then that's equivalent to manually deleting it.
If your app is composed from separate dll then I maybe some versioning issue.
If not and you can't reproduce the issue on your dev machine...
Tricky.
You would have mentioned it if you were putting stuff in the GAC.
Could be a sln or csproj issue.
They occasionally corrupt.
What else.
How did you get your code onto the other pc?
Is it contained within one folder with no external references beyond .net framework ones?
If you did something a bit dodgy with your references a dll might be coming from somewhere which is on your pc and not on this other one.
The only other advice I can think of is to step away for a bit and do something else.
It's all too easy to get into a flat spin when something drastic happens and one has no idea wtf is going on.

Error on Undeploy: Application with name "crazy" does not exist.

I am working with Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0 Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0_GENERIC_111205.1733.6192.
I have applications that run fine, however when I click on the undeploy, I get the error below. Please keep in mind that this is a simple sample application -- no security. Just one form with reading an HR schema table. Just a sample to try and figure out why I am getting this error. Any ideas?
1. I have deleted the system folder (repeatedly)
2. I deleted out my entire C:\Users\stuart\AppData\Local\Temp directory (someone mentioned this in another post)
3. Reinstalled Jdeveloper.

Thank you for your answer. I had not checked (will do so tonight).
I had considered it adequate to wipe out the entire system directory (thereby wiping out the integrated weblogic server), but perhaps it was not adequate? I did not specify that this is on the integrated server, but that is the case....
