I am providing the details of the dimensions and facts
· P&L
· Invoice Date
· Risk Region
· AR Fact
We have already created a presentation layer, CDW, with all the above mentioned Dimensions and Facts.
While trying to create reports in Answers based on the combination of two or more dimensions, we got the following error, “The specified criteria didn't result in any data”.
Also, logs are not getting generated even after setting the logging level, for the Administrator User, to 2. Kindly look into the issues.
Please need help ---urgency..

Hi user plz check in the database by writing a query whether the data is there or not for those mappings.

Facts:
OBIEE 10.1.3.4.0
Oracle Server 10.2.0.4.0 64 bits
Two BIEE servers, being one Windows and the other Linux, both using the same database source table (Instance ORCL01, table FACT_ACOMPANHA).
The issue is:
Using BIEE repository 1, hosted on a Windows XP Server, I'm able to query all table columns, no restrictions.
Using the second repository, hosted on a different box (Linux Red Hat 5.2), when I query one of the table columns (CD_SISPRENATAL column, VARCHAR2(11)), Answers doesn't retrieves any rows.
It returns the message: "No Results. The specified criteria didn't result in any data."
If I add another criteria to the request (using the CD_SISPRENATAL and any other column from the same table) then data is retrieved normally.
I must say, the CD_SISPRENATAL column doesn't have a NOT NULL constraint, but most records in this table has this column filled. There are few records with null values (460 out of 130,430). There's no need to add prompts, filters or anything to get this "error" message.
Also, I'm using the same RPD file for both repositories. So, I assume this is not due to differences in the rep. configurations.
Does anybody see any reason for this behavior?

BI Services (run-sa.sh and run-saw.sh) have been restarted several times since we copied the last .RPD version from windows to Linux.
Please, telll me if I'm wrong, but I believe this does flush de cache, doesn't it?
By the way, how do you guys set the BI Administration Tool to access the repository remotely on a Linux Server?

Fact-tables not resulting in any data

hello experts;
I am trying to create a mock-up report in OBI Answers and somehow Im having a problem with metric columns. When I pick any metric column then I get the: *(No Results: The specified criteria didn’t result in any data)*
But when I pick just the fact tables, I see the results. I have doubled checked the rpd; the schemas btn the dimension and fact tables looks ok to me. I have tried union with another subject area, I get the same error. Anyone with an idea why fact tables are not collaborating with dimension tables?

Can you try to check the physical SQL generated by the reports? and see if that query is returning result in the DB or not.
I am sure this will help you to find the root cause.

MY DASHBOARD LINK DOESN'T RESULT IN ANY DATA

I got a problem that I believe I created myself. A while ago I created a dashboard link through one of the columns "Reference no".. Its been working flawlessly, now yesterday my boss asked me to make few changes to the dashboard but not to the link. So, now somehow everytime I click on the link I keep getting this answer *"No Results: The specified criteria didn't result in any data."* This is not true, I know there is data and this working very well.. Trust me I have checked the "is prompted" on both ends million times, deleted it and re-insterted it again...
Anything that I am missing, this is driving me nuts and frustratation is now sinking in..
please please help

hmm.. Lets try this as initial investigation, clear all the cache first (Presentation, RPD.. etc).. restart the services.. once again click on the link.. if you see the same error .. check the SQL generated and see if all is well.

DirectAccess - Server 2012 R2, Windows 8 Client, "No SAs match the specified criteria"

I'm trying to get DA set up and it is being a major pain. I have the DA server set up and everything is green on the monitor, everything seems to be working there. I have successfully deployed the GPO to the client, and the client is trying to connect. However,
it will not connect and "Get-DaConnectionStatus" is saying "NameResolutionFailure".
So I'm working through this guide (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee844114%28v=ws.10%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396) to try and sort out the connection issue. The client creates an IP-HTTPS tunnel and I am able to ping the IPHTTPSInterface
on the DA server from the client, so it can reach the server (Note: I cannot ping the client from the server though).
Where I'm running into problems is on step 6 of the first part of that guide, where it says to use the command "netsh advfirewall
monitor show mmsa". The result of that command is "No SAs match the specified criteria".
Any ideas on why this issue is coming up, and how to fix it?

BMR-SS backup fails with error "the specified network name is no longer available"

We are running DPM 2012 SP1 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 system, backing up a Windows Server 2012 system that is a DC. The agent version is 4.1.3417.0. Both the DPM server and the DC are physical systems - brand new HP Proliant 360's.
When creating the replicas for the 2012 server the first time, the backups work fine, and then for a day or so after that. After a couple of days, the BMR-SS backups fail with the error "the specified network name is no longer available".
I can watch the backup happening in the Windows Server Backup console on the protected server - the BMR backup goes up to 99% and then fails. BMR backups on all the other servers are working - we have a mix of Win2008R2 and Win2012.
Here is what I have tried:
I can connect to the UNC path on the backup server without a problem during and after the backup is happening.
Tried reinstalling the DPM agent.
Tried backing up directly from the protected server to another server's network share, which worked.
I can copy multiple gigabyte files directly from the protected server to the DPM file share without a problem (the same one that DPM uses for the replica)
Tried turning off the SCEP real-time protection during the backup.
Any help would be appreciated - thanks.

I followed Boudewijn's suggestion.
The Windows 2012R2 servers had no recovery partition in disk C. I created one (400MB) following http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2930294/en-us and
DPM system restore worked. But just once.
So this is not the solution to the problem......
Is no one else having issues with DPM bare metal protection of Windows 2012R2 servers?

earlier it was not able to look for the sqresus.dll which i copied to the winnt/system directory , and after this oci error is coming , anyone knowing it please guide

Make sure it is the same version of 9i (i.e. 9.0.x or 9.2.x) for both OO4O and ODBC. Also make sure that the ORACE_BASE\ORACLE_HOME\BIN directory is in your search path AND last, check your windows directories and subdirectories for duplicate copies of OCI.DLL (or anywhere else on the PC for that matter). Sometimes MicroSoft will include one and it is usually an OLD one.

Error: The specified procedure could not be found

Apparently the password expired on my Windows 7 BETA installation. Upon restart the system notifies me and asks for a new password. After confirming the password I get the error:
"The specified procedure could not be found"
I cannot log in at this point. The old password won't let me in and I can't change it. The administrator account I found is disabled by default.
Is there any way to log in?

Okay, here is your dilemma.
You cannot login to your only account and the local administrator account is in its default disabled mode.
There is a solution, albeit totally unsupported. Go to http://www.sysresccd.org/Main_Page and download the latest SystemRescueCd. Burn a CD from the ISO. When you boot with the SystemRescue CD, you will type ntpass and hit <enter>. From there, make sure you read the screens. You will have make selections depending on how you loaded Windows 7 (clean vs. upgrade vs. dual boot, etc). Using this disk, you CAN enable the local administrator’s account and login in.
I just did the procedure using Windows 7, build 7000 with SystemRescueCd 1.1.6.

File Error: The Specified file is open and in use by this or another app...

I have imported a string of pictures and dragged them into the FCP timeline. I render them and it renders a certain percentage then it stops and says "File Error: The Specified file is open and in use by this or another application."
After reading this, I quit out of FCP, restarted my computer, opened FCP, nothing other program, tried to render again and same thing happened. It renders part of it then the error message pops up, then I can render again and it will do another percent then it will pop again and so on.
Suggestions, or does anyone know why this happened? Thank you very much for your time.

okay - don't know where you've got your scratch disc set but hopefully it's to another drive other than your boot.
The same drive where your render files should be located, ie some drive other than your boot drive.
Can you copy the jpegs over to that drive into a folder.
Delete them from your tl, delete them from your proj. Save your project. Close fcp.
If they're on your boot drive - delete them.
Reopen fcp and Reimport them from the new location.
Sorry for all the steps - but we have no idea how you have configured fcp or your level of experience. Trying to cover all the bases ...

I get this error when I import a .MOV created by Live Type. All applications, except FCP, are closed. I can reboot the computer and get the same thing. It happens when I try and "render all". Thanks.

It's probably either spotlight looking at the files, or some anti-virus program thinking your render is a virus.

We are getting an error while trying to create an Universe via Microsoft -> MS Analysis Services 2014 -> OLEDB for OLAP Provider under Connection in UDT -"DBD: Error while trying to load the transport provider for odbc. Failed to load the library. System error: The specified module could not be found." We have installed BI 4.1 SP05 in our system. As per earlier posts in scn in BO XI 3.x this issue used to be for improper installation of Integration KIT but in our scenarion Integration KIT is within the BO 4.1 package so no seperate installation is required. Moreover I have checked whether all the driver is present under file: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer\drivers" and seems everything is fine. But still I am getting this error. One important point is we could use IDT because in IDT still we don't have option to connect with 'Microsoft Analysis Services - 2014 (XMLA)' as we are using Microsoft Analysis Services 2014 version.
Kindly help if anyone has faced the same problem with SAP BO 4.1.

The problem is solved now after installing "OLEDB drivers from SQL Server 2012 Feature Pack". We had OLEDB drivers that comes directly from SQL Server but that did not worked out in our case.

Suddenly I cannot render any project in Final Cut 6, because a message reads: file error: the specified file is locked. Any clues on what to do?

The reason we suggest searching is there are too many possible causes and unlikely answers and FCP6 was a long time ago.

Before I ask you to check permissions on the drive you save your material and output files, try creating a new project, copy everything from the old one in it (highlight-copy-paste in new project) and save as with a new name. Does this work?

everytime i try and save my project i keep getting the error:
File error: The specified file is locked
i went to the project and "get info" and saw that the file is locked...i also noticed that every other file in my computer is locked as well.
i just got my machine back from the repair shop...is there a setting i can use to turn off all locked files??

I usually get this when I try to save a project and it isn't stored on my HD(usually external HD or RAID). Sometimes I can do a save as and save it to the desktop.
Sometimes everything is cleared up with a restart. It seems like it is a FCP7/OS developmental need which is mute because 7 is no longer supported by Apple.
