Error Trying to Create Capture Media Error 80004005

Hey everyone need some help here.  I was at TechEd last week, in which I did the hands-on-lab on using boot media to capture a reference PC, can't remember the name.  Anyway, here is my problem, I tried to do the exact same set up on our setup
and it fails.  I go through the following process:
1.  Create Task Sequence Media
2.  Select Capture Media
3.  Select CD/DVD Set
4.  Give it a name
5.  Point to my boot image, and select my distribution point. and then
IT FAILS!
Media creation failed with error message: 'Unspecified error'
Refer to CreateTsMedia.log file to find more details.
When I look through the log file, the last item I see is:
<![LOG[CreateMedia.exe finished with error code 80004005]LOG]!><time="14:26:31.972+240" date="05-19-2014" component="CreateTsMedia" context="" type="2" thread="5548" file="createmedia.cpp:1123">
The info that I find seems to point to this being a problem with a USB drive not big enough to support the boot wim, but I am creating and ISO.. so whats the deal?
Let me know what else I need to add to help me out.

  • Error trying to open source media - Compressor 1.2.1

I have a problem with a movie that have been sent to me. I seem unable to add it to a batch in Compressor or in Final Cut Pro 4.5 HD for the that matter.I'm using QuickTime 7.0.3 adn Mac OS X 10.4.3
When ever I had it to Compressor I get this error:
"Alert: Error trying to open source media file"
    http://www.saruken.com/temp/Compressor-Error.jpg
And when I import it into Final Cut I get this error:
"File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown."
    http://www.saruken.com/temp/FCP-error.jpg
The settings for the offending movie are:
    Format: H.264, 640x480, Millions, AAC, Stereo (L R), 22.050kHz
    FPS: 29.97
    Data Rate: 90 kbytes/sec
    Key Frame: Every 300 Frames
The only difference between my test, which works fine, and this file is the frame rate (mine is at 25fps) and the number of audio channels (my test was in mono).
The file I was sent was encoded in Compressor, not sure which one - but I think it might be version 2.
The strange thing is it opens in QuickTime fine. I've tried exporting from QuickTime Pro as another h.264 with mono sound with no joy. I've tried saving a reference of the movie to see if that works, again no joy.
The only way I can get Compressor to accept the file is by transcoding it to another codec, like Soreson 3. Then FCP and Compressor are happy.
What I can't work out is why the h.264 file I made is fine (and any file I still make as well), and the one I was sent is not. I'm also having the same problem with an h.264 file I downloaded from Apple QuickTime Trailers, and an another I found on the web.
Updates that have been done recently incase they might have caused the problem are 10.4.3 and installing Motion 2 Trail (since removed), which wanted to update Pro Application Support (this might be the problem?).
    Any help greatly apprieated
    Hami

I just tried the offending movie file on my Powerbook, it has never seen Motion 2 or those Pro Application Support updates - and it gets the same error.
Very odd indeed - any ideas?

  • What does "The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 0 (error -1)." mean, and why does it keep happening?

So I've been trying to export a video file from Motion 5 (and FCPX), and I keep recieving the message "The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 0 (error -1)". I've found the problem has something to do with a video file in the project, Ive tried multiple versions of said file, in multiple formats (.mov, h264, etc.), and I keep getting the same result.  The file was originaly a 640x480 wmv file. Any suggestions?

I ended up figuring out a solution, but I'll get to that in a sec.
To answer your question, I converted the .wmv file in a program called Media Converter (available in the App store), and converted it to an h.264 file (then later to a .mov file, and then to an .mpg). I could view the file, and work with it in projects, but any project I tried to output with any version of said file, would result in the afor mentioned message, with the same results in FCPX (and Compressor 4 as well).  I tried multiple frame rates, resolutions, files types, re-converting the file, all with no luck.  My impression from said experiments, and reading other discussions was that it was a corrupt file.
Then I got frisky...and a little desperate. I brought the converted file (the .wmv to .mov) into Motion 4... and an export worked first try.  So I exported a pro-res file from Motion 4, and used that file in the already built Motion 5 project, and voila!
So, who knows what that means in real terms, as for the whats and whys.

  • The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 6105 (error -1).

I am trying to share a project and after the 3% of sharing the project it appears this message.
The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 6105 (error -1).
What can I do?? I need some help please!!

You need to set the FCP X Preferences to count in frames, locate that frame, delete the clip around it and replace with a fresh one.

  • The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 30256 (error -1).

When trying to export a project from FCPX, I get this error
The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 30256 (error -1).
    Has anyone any ideas?
    Many Thanks

Switch your FCP preferences to show frames and see what's happen at that frame number. Try trash any render files. Switch off background rendering. Don't render. Try replacing the clip at the problem area.

  • Operation could not be completed because an error occured when creating frame 56 (error-1)

    Hi
I'm trying to export a movie in motion but I keep getting the error "Export Failed. The operation could not be completed because an error occured when creating frame xx (error-1)".  I've tried some of the other suggestions such as preventing app nap, changing the codec used and I've uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled motion.  Nothing has worked so far, and it's driving me crazy!
Can anyone suggest something?  I'd be most grateful.
    Thanks

Hi GFXZen, thanks for your reply.
I actually solved by re-exporting the source video, but I'll get to that (to skip, see TL;DR).  In case it helps anybody else I'll answer your questions first.
The only element present at the majority of the failure points was another video, so there weren't any others to turn off.  Though when I turned off the video and exported, it actually worked (this is what led me to evaluate the source video rather than the motion project).
Adjusting the export settings did not help me much, I tried h.264, same as source (which  was a .mov), and ProRes 4444: failed.  Tried as a draft: failed.  I didn't want to mess with any of the other render settings because to be honest, I'm not a video editor, so my experience with all of this is severely limited.
I forgot to mention in the first post that I'd already tried the export on a different machine (one far newer and more powerful): failed.  Dispite googling image sequences, I wasn't really sure how this related to the video, or how to set things up so the audio was preserved, so I skipped that.
    TL;DR
According to what I googled, it sounded like the video needed to be reindexed/exported/whatever, so I downloaded a program MPEG Streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-mac.html) 1.93b8 (as  the stable doesn't support Lion upward).  It's completely free, and when I ran it, worked first time.  I simply opened the video and exported to quicktime, and changed the compression to Apple TIFF.  That was it.
There was one unusual thing though, the file I started with was just over 1GB, but the end result was just over 4GB - but visually I couldn't see any loss in quality at all, and it worked in the motion project - which is really all that matters.
    Hope this helps somebody.

  • Fit Image CS4: Error: Unable to create Window - OS error [1400]:210

    Hi there,
I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 bit Photoshop CS4 Extended and have come across a problem with the Automate/Fit Image script. I have read the other posts here concerning a bug in the script, but I'm not even getting to the stage of the script giving me any options to run - I just get the following in a Script Alert message box: Fit Image CS4: Error: Unable to create Window - OS error [1400]:210
I can see that the script is in the Presets/Scripts directory OK. Anyone with any ideas please?

Thanks for that reply. I tried this again and it's working now. The only thing I can think of is that I have closed and opened Photoshop a number of times since having the problem and that may have fixed it.
I find that if I am doing a lot of work in quick mask mode on large images with the pen tool, after a while, Photoshop starts to develop a very significant lag time, taking a number of seconds to draw the next point or respond to the tool (I'm on Vista 64 bit with 12 GBs of RAM, so it shouldn't be RAM, GeForce 8800 GTS video card 640MB dedicated video memory). I find that I have to frequently close Photoshop to get the tool response time back to normal. Perhaps the inability to draw a dialog box was somehow linked with this kind of problem....

42001 Presenter Publish Error Can't create uploader unknown
    error
Well I guess that about says it all. I cannot publish ANY of
my Presenter files to Connect Pro... Do I need to do a Presenter
    reinstall?

I know this is from 2010 but I just started with a company that uses this software and we are receiving this same error.  I tried doing the regsvr32 ppsuplo.dll  but came back with the following result "  The module "ppsuplo.dll " failed to load.  Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files.  The specified module could not be found.  I then looked in the program files folder for presenter and found the file right there.  Then tried using the repair option without any luck.  Anyone have an idea of what else we can do?

    Hello All,
I'm trying to regenerate boot media as I've added a new Network driver to my PE environment. Driver added fine, and Boot Image regenerated successfully, on all DP's.
The problem comes when I try to create updated Capture Media, or Dynamic Boot Media (I would hypothesize standalone boot media would have the same issue).
    It errors out with:

Note: some info replaced above with obfuscated data,
    I am currently running SCCM 2012 R2 with KB2905002 and KB2910552 applied.
The last time I generated boot media (capture and dynamic) was shortly after installing 2012R2, and it succeeded without issue. I have not generated boot media since applying both of these hotfixes, as there haven't been any new drivers to add in several
months. All of my admin consoles have both hotfixes applied, just for giggles, i spun up an admin console with neither hotfix applied, and it gave the same error. I have tried running from remote consoles, as well as locally on the primary site server.
Does anyone have any suggestions? WMI isn't my strong suit, I tried entering wbemtest, but wasn't really sure what to look for, other than verifying that the class SMS_SCI_Component existed, though I cannot seem to figure out how to query it.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/tips,

The SQL view that Jason referred to is called "vSMS_SC_Component".
Also, to expand slightly on the WMI "unexpected error", it appears that the necessary WMI information to create the instance(s) of "SMS_SCI_Component" are present.
Using WBEMTEST, you can connect to "root\sms\site_XXX" and click "Enum Classes..." and select "Recursive". The class for "SMS_SCI_Component" exists. The superclass that it's based on (SMS_SiteControlitem) can also
be queried to produce the same "unexpected" error. You can see this by selecting "Enum Instances..." in WBEMTEST, selecting "recursive", and entering the superclass name "SMS_SiteControlItem". The results begin displaying
and then when the query reaches the "SMS_SCI_Component" (presumably, I can't actually see what caused the error in WBEMTEST) it displays the same error number 0x8004101d "Unexpected error".
Sample output from the SQL query "select * from vSMS_SC_Component":
