Any ideas on how to solve the error:

oracle.18n.text.converter.CharacterConverterOGS.getInstance(I)Loracle/i8n/text/converter/CharacterConverter;
I get when trying to establish a connect to Oracle Designer (10.1.26) to export existing models.

Hello,
I am using the Oracle Designer model import to fill Data Modeler. There are some views which have dependencies on each other, resulting that views which depend on other views are incomplete.
Is there a way to rerun the import again in the same relational model, since the import utility now opens a new relational model again.
Is there a kind of logging where you can find these kind of errors?

Thanks Phillip, but I was actually referring to the version level of the Designer repository itself, not the database instance in which it resides. I seem to remember that you could not upgrade your Designer repository without also upgrading the Oracle Designer client as well; hence my question about compatibility between SQL Developer Data Modeler and various Repository versions.

Error trying to import application and apex objects

Hi friends:
I was using the Oracle Apex Demo Site to evaluated Oracle application Server.
I was amazed with its functionality, so I decide to download and installed on my server.
I want to continue evaluating the Apex functionallity and for that, I want to export tha application and objects I setuo on Oracle's Apex Site.
I did with no problem.
After installed the Apex on my server, I inport the workspace.
But now I want to import the apex objects and the application 8mostly pages) my apex admin page give me an unrecognized errors for me.
1. If I try to import the objects (tables, preocedures, etc. and data) it sends me the error: unreconized lines on the file, please remove the lines.
2. If I try to import the application objects (pages, etc.) it sends me the folloeing error: the file you are trying to import is not a valid apllication express export file.
It is kind of courious because I just exported from Oracle Apex Site.

The other issue I forgot to mentioned is: when I install a new database to use it just with Apex, I leave the character set as WE8MSWIN1252.
I change my apex dads file to setup the AL32UTF8.
I don't know if these is the problem between the exported file from Oracles Apex Site (which has a UTF-8 character set setuup) and my apex installation with Apex character set as AL32UTF8 and Oracle 9i Release 2 with WE8MSWIN1252 character set settup.
Any help please.

Error trying to import spreadsheet to a table

I installed Oracle Database 10g XE on my local pc. While trying to create a table from a spreadsheet that resides on my local machine I am getting an error
Expecting p_company or www_flow_company to contain security group id of application owner
Can anyone tell me what this means and how I can correct it ?
I am new to Oracle and trying to experiment.

2) what is the language setting in your browser?
3) which file character set did you choose (when trying to import the data into the table)?

Import Wizard Error trying to Import from CE 9 to BOJ XI 3.0

I just installed BOJ XI 3.0 on a new server. I am trying to import the reports, users and data sources from our CE9 server to the new server. When I put in the APS name, log on name and password I get a error message saying..
Unable to connect to cluster @@ to retrieve CMS member list. Locally chached member list not present. Logon cannot continue
Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I have over 900 reports and I dont wnat to have to manually upload every one..

I am afraid that you will have to upgrade to XI or XIR2 first. Below is something from 3.0 guide:
If you are upgrading from Crystal Enterprise 9 or 10, you must first upgrade to either BusinessObjects Enterprise XI, or XI Release 2 SP2 or higher.

Page Not Found error trying to import a large application into ApEx XE DB

I have an ApEx application that I'm trying to import from a Standard DB into Express Edition. I have 2 separate installs of ApEx both on XE and I'm getting the same problem on both.
PROBLEM:
After I import the application I get the error: PAGE NOT FOUND standard error.
The import file is 4.8 Mbytes. When I view the import repository it shows increments of the file being loaded.
for e.g. First time 3 MBytes are loaded before the error is shown
Second time 3.2MBytes are loaded then it falls over again.
any suggestions?
Smaller sized apps load up with no problems.
If it weren't for the sad state of the internal XE web server I could at least have a look at the HTTP logs. But alas someone in their wisdom had the bright idea to hide the webserver away in the bowels of the XE database.

I have a client who maintains their data model in an old Oracle Designer 6.0 model repository. I would like to help them migrate from this very old data model to SQL Developer Data Modeler, if possible. With what versions of Oracle Designer repository is SQL Developer Data Modeler compatible with for model import?

Geting an error trying to import a data file into OWB repository

Hi,
We're using OWB 11.1.0.7.0
I'm trying to import a new data file and I'm getting an error.
When I go to The Project/Files/ I right click on the module I want to add the files to,
I get a 'Wizard' titled 'Welcome to the Import Metadata Wizard'.
I click next.
I get the 'Filter Information' screen that asks if I want to select 'All Data Files' or a specific file.
I pick 'All Data Files' and click 'next'.
I get the 'Object Selection' screen that has a left and right panel. The left side is titled 'Available' and the right side is titled Selected.
The 'Available' panel had the directory in Linux (/etl/datafeeds/dev) where our data files are stored with a plus sign next to it.
When I click the plus sign, I get an error message that says:
API2836: Directory
/etl/datafeeds/dev does not exist.Has anyone seen this? What is the work around? Is it a bug? How do I import a data file into OWB if this isn't the way to do it?

I received an error trying to migrate from Outlook 2010 to Thunderbird on Windows 7 and my folders didn't migrate over. I get an error trying to import setting

I have windows 7 professional running MS office 2010. I have 3 email accounts that I send and receive mail. these are all IMAP accounts. I installed Thunderbird and tried to import everything and the contacts import ok (except for my icloud contacts) but there is an error when importing the settings. The mail seems to import fine however I can only access mail for one of the email accounts. The other two just show a folder and no subfolders in the mail tree iin the left pane.
When I try to look up the accounts, I only see one account configured, the other ones are not there

Importing Oracle Designer Processes into BPEL Designer

We have several business processes defined and documented in Oracle Designer 10G , we were looking for a way to import these brocesses into Oracle BPEL. Is there any utility /tool to do this?

I think your problem is caused by the fact you do not have a TEMP directory on your C: drive.
Windows NT has a temp directory under the drive C:\ but Windows 2000 doesn't.
The import creates a parameter file for the import in the Temp directory.

Error trying to import python dbxml package

I can see a similar thread fro windows (see: Python API setup problem on Windows but I'm having this problem with fedora15 (64bit) / Python2.7 / BDB XML 2.5.16:
I can build and install BDB XML without any problems following the standard documentation. I'm then trying to get the Python API to work.
I followed the instructions and the bsddb3.db library works fine:

the problem is trying to import dbxml:

Error trying to import LCA

I am using Livecycle 8.2.1 SP2 running on a 64-bit build of JBoss. This is connected to a SQL Server 2005 db. All this runs on Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition.
When I go to the AdminUI...Archive Management page, I get the following error:

I have opened a ticket with Adobe tech support, but the solution from them so far is to rebuild my database. This is not acceptable as we have a lot of data in that database. Our backups do not go far enough back to where we were before this error started happening.I have tried searching the database for the "missing" file references, and have found nothing. I have also deleted everything in the repository from workbench, nothing. I have also deleted the contents of the temp folders on the server...still nothing. All these steps were followed by a restart of JBoss.
Does anyone know what I can do to resolve this?

The other issue I forgot to mentioned is: when I install a new database to use it just with Apex, I leave the character set as WE8MSWIN1252.
I change my apex dads file to setup the AL32UTF8.
I don't know if these is the problem between the exported file from Oracles Apex Site (which has a UTF-8 character set setuup) and my apex installation with Apex character set as AL32UTF8 and Oracle 9i Release 2 with WE8MSWIN1252 character set settup.

Error trying to import com.crystaldecisions.sdk.plugin.admin.cmsadmin

I'm having trouble importing the com.crystaldecisions.sdk.plugin.admin.cmsadmin package. I've copied all the jar files from the BO lib folder and most of my functionality is working. Is there a separate jar file I need?
Basically I'm trying to get at auditing/usage information through the SDK without purchasing the auditor component.

Error trying to import photos

I am a new mac user and recently moved my photos from an external drive to iphoto. Then I tried to delete duplicates, and had much success. But I suspect I may have messed something up, because some photos appear with only dashes around them. I deleted the dashed photos, and attempted to re-import them into iPhoto. But I am getting the following error message: "The file could not be imported. (The file is in the iPhoto Library)." How can I add the pictures to iphoto?

Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to rebuild those thumbnails.
