Error using EJB from webapp.
Hi
Im trying to move a j2ee application from BEA to SunOne A 7.0.
Im getting an error when using/creating a EJB.
But i can use any method on another EJB. I havent set any authority rules at all and the xml file looks the same for both EJBs.
This application works fine on the BEA container.
The error is:

WLS 6.1 Webapp using EJB from WLS 9.0
I have a WLS 6.1.7 based webapp that currently accesses an EJB deployed to WLS 8.1.5. I just tried upgrading the 8.1 server to 9.0.0. I was able to deploy the EJB just fine but the 6.1.7 based webapp is giving me the following error:

Is there a way to get WLS 6.1 to talk to WLS 9.0?
Thanks,
RickI believe the constraint is communicating within 2 releases. ie 6.0 can talk to 7.0 and 8.1, but 9.0 is 3 releases away.
That being said, you can double-check this with [email protected]

Edited by: Manoj Desai on Oct 16, 2008 11:01 AMThis connection string does not look correct to me:
String pURL="opmn:ormi://localhost:12401:OC4J_TEST/";
As you have it, you are specifying the OC4J RMI port to connect to, in conjunction with the ORMI lookup handler.
The correct form for this string should be using the OPMN request port:
String pURL="opmn:ormi://localhost:6003:OC4J_TEST/";
The6003 value comes from the request port that OPMN is using on the target application server instance you need to connect to -- you can observe this port by looking at the $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/opmn.xml file and look for this element:
<port local="6101" remote="6202" request="6003"/>
Use whatever port is specified there in your connect string.

Getting Error using ZMG from Boot DVD 10.2.2
So I created a ZCM boot 10.2.2 and put by base image on the root of /mnt/cdrom/xxxxx.zmg . The image was right under one 1gig. I edited the Main Script to look like the following
img pd1
img pd2
img pc1 NTFS
img -rl /mnt/cdrom/xxx.zmg
So that worked great. So i created the final base image which was bout 2.3 gigs and used that instead of the 1 gig base, and it keeps failing with the error "Encountered a bad file header during image restoration" don't know whats causing it. I am making the DVD's using Magic ISO and have copied good copies of the base image I know that works from my ZCM server.
Funny thing is when I use the boot cd to pull the base image from satellite server it works fine.
If someone has any ideas, I could really use some.Selbymathew2004,
this forum is for the discussion of early (beta) releases of ZCM;
you'll get better responses if you ask in the ZCM10 imaging forum

Using EJB from another connection pool in WLPI
Hi All,
I've deployed an entity bean (CMP) which used the connection pool other than the
one used by WLPI. When I execute the business operation I've defined for this
bean, the following exception is encountered:
"Couldn't get connection: java.sql.SQLException: Connection has already been created
in this tx context for pool named wlpiPool. Illegal attempt to create connection
from another pool: oraclePool"
Is there any other alternative for me to use the entity bean in WLPI?
Thanks,
FredInstead of using mulitiple connection pool,we are using single connection pool.
Our one application, accessing remote db also, for that we are using simple jdbc
connection. No pool.
We also tried OracleXAdriver. In that case, at the time of startup we are getting
weird error.
Thanks

We are also getting same error. How did you resolve this error ?
I'd appreciate,if you can post resolution of this error.

ClassCastException using EJB from a service
Hi all,
I developed a DeployService and currently I'm getting a ClassCastException while accessing the a EJB.
I put the lookup within a delegate which is also be used from a webDynpro application. With the WebDynpro App everything work properly, but if I call the delegate from the service a SAPClassCastException I thrown, when I cast the object to the home interface.
The coding is as follows:
Properties props = new Properties();
props.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL,"localhost:50004");
props.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,
"com.sap.engine.services.jndi.InitialContextFactoryImpl");
context = new InitialContext(props);
Object obj = context.lookup(jndiName);
EJBHome ejb = EJBHomeFactory.getInstance().lookup(jndiName, ComponentHome.class);
ComponentHome componentHome = (ComponentHome)ejb;
Thanks a lot for the help.
FalkHi Falk,
Hey just tell me that what is the EJBHome and ComponentHome and EJBHomeFactory in your coding.....
You can try the following code for the same.
Object obj =(Object) jndicontext.lookup("<Your JNDI name>");
TestEJBHome home = (TestEJBHome) javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject.narrow(
obj,
TestEJBHome.class);
TestEJB hello = home.create();
Here, TestEJBHome is your Home interface of the EJB and TestEJB is your remote interface. Now you can use hello object to call your business methods of EJB.

stg_raw_rec(1).raw_stg_idor
stg_raw_rec(2).raw_stg_idIf you want display all of them, use loop:

Error using views from other schema
Hello,
i recently had problems using the execute immediate statement in Object Types.
The SQL statement tried to select from some views which were owned by an other schema.
Although we had public synonyms on these views and the same dynamic sql could be used out of a stored procedure the usage in the object type raised a "table or view does not exist exception".
using the same views in the same schema where the object types belonged to, was ok.
example:
schema: scott
view: my_view
schema: dave
sql: "select from scott.my.view ....."
works well from a stored procedure, but nor if used in an object type
create the view in schema "dave" an then
sql: "select from my.view ....."
works fine.
So is someone aware of this behaviour?
Is this a bug or a feature?
regards
peterHello Geoff,
here is the sample code.
If the table my_table belongs to the same
schema runningthe code the code runs with
no exception.
But if the table belongs to an other schema
(lets say SCOTT),
only having global synonyms and the rigths to
select on it, the code will raise an exception "table or view does not exist"
even if we use SCOTT.my_table in the
select.

JNI : Unsatisfied Link Error using C++ from Java
Am using JNI to call a C Function which in turn creates a new C++ object and calls a method on it.
When I run the java program that calls this native method, I get a UnsatisfiedLinkError : No <lib> in java.library.path.
If I change the C function to do a simple printf instead of creating a new object , it works fine.
I am printng out the java.library.path before calling the loadLibrary method, the path is correct.
Am using Java 1.2.2 and compiling with gcc 2.7 on solaris 2.6 (Sun OS 5.6)
Any help would be appreciated. I have seen some other folks having similar problems but haven't seen any replies that seem to solve the problem.Thanks for the ldd suggestion :
This is the output from ldd

The 'man' pages for ldd say this :
Using the -d or -r option with shared objects can give misleading results. ldd does a "worst case" analysis of the shared objects. However, in practice some or all of the symbols reported as unresolved can be resolved by the executable file referencing the shared object.
Most of them seem ok, but I am wondering about "__builtin_new", anyone know what shared lib that's supposed to be in ? -

BUt this procedure is simply a wrapper for sys.dbms_cdc_publish.create_change_table.

Error encountered while trying to use EJB control in a Platform Domain
Hi,
I've configured a Weblogic Platform domain and installed all the application EJB's
thru a JAR file. When I try to access these EJB's from within Web Logic Workshop
using the EJB Control, I am able to find the Home and the Remote interfaces and
those boxes are populated correctly when I select the JNDI name from the Browse
button. But when I click on the "Create" button in EJB Control dialog box, I get
the following error
"The EJB Home interface selected in Step 3 cannot be loaded. The client interfaces
for the selected EJB must be present as individual classes in the WEB-INF\classes
directory of this project or the EJB's client JAR file must be present in the
WEB-INF\lib directory".
I copied my EJB Jar file to the WEB-INF\lib folder also. But still it gives the
same error message. Please let me know if I am missing something. Your help is
greatly appreciated.
Thanks
VikramHi Pat,
I've restarted the complete Platform Domain Weblogic instance and it worked.
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I'm using a workshop domain from WebLogic Platform 7.0 SP1.
When you move the EJB classes (as a jar file) into the WEB-INF/lib directory,
then you need to redeploy the web application. In your last note you
mentioned
redeploying the EJB, but not the web app. Have you tried redeploying
the web
app, after you move the EJB jar file into WEB-INF/lib?

Hi Pat,
Thanks for replying back immediately. I tried to redeploy the EJB and
copy the
client EJB classes to the WEB-INF\lib folder but still it doesn't work.
I've also
tried using some of the standard EJB's like "BEA_commerce.CategoryManager"
which
are part of the Platform domain and I am still getting the same error.
Are you working on a Weblogic Platform Domain or Weblogic workshop domain.
Just
wanted to confirm. Appreciate your help.
Thanks
Vikram

Hi,
After you copied the EJB into the WEB-INF/lib directory, did you redeploy
the
web application? I got a similar thing to work. Instead of movingthe
whole
EJB into WEB-INF/lib, I had ejbc create an EJB client jar and I moved
that into
my WEB-INF/lib directory. Then I redeployed the web application toload
the classes
and it worked.
