Error using "New" option on Desktop calendar (v. 6.2) with Vista Business

Until I tried this, I though all my 6.2-Vista problems were solved. My hotsyncs now work perfectly, and when I enter a new event on my handheld it appears on the Desktop after syncing. However, when I right click on a "New" event that I have just entered in the Desktop calendar in single-day mode and attempt to put in the "Details" (start and end time, repeats, etc.), I get a "program error", the application closes, and I lose the data that I typed in, namely, the name of the event. Note that the name of the event can be entered without creating an error; it's only when I try to add the "Details" that the program error occurs.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. [My handheld device is a Tungsten E2.]

Hello Jane and welcome to the Palm forums.
Palm only supports Windows XP and Vista 32-bit editions for performing a wired HotSync. There is a work around if you have a PC with Bluetooth. This thread will help you get started with syncing wireless over Bluetooth. Since you are using Office 2007, and I'm guessing you'll want to keep your informaiton synchronized with Microsoft Outlook, you can use Palm Desktop 6.2 which you can download from the Palm website.

Getting error when using the option "Open Shared Calendar"

Hello Everyone,
I have created four calendars for our office all of them for booking meeting rooms.
Three of the four work just fine but the fourth is being a pain.
I'm running Exchange 2010 and all our clients are running Outlook 2007. I have re-created
the meeting room a couple of times just to make sure I hadn't missed anything.
When I, or another staff memeber tries to use the "Open a Shared Calendar"
withing Outlook 2007 in Calendar view, we get the below error.
Cannot display the folder. Microsoft Exchange is not available. Either there are
network problems or the Exchanges computer is down for maintenance.
Any ideas why I'm getting this error?

Could you please check the conference room type,whether it is an Auto Accept or Delegate Type.
checking the conference room type :
Get-CalendarProcessing conference room| fl *policy*
you may get the below results:

If "AllBookInPolicy : True" it mean it is an Auto Accept type and if "AllBookInPolicy : False" then it is Delegate type conference room.
If it is an Auto accept type then you should have Editor access on the concern room calendar to manage it and the same time if the room is an Delegate type you suppose to have Delegate access over the room.
To check whether you have permissions to access the room calendar.

Desktop Manager 4.5 crshing on Vista Business

Hello All, i have the desktop manager installed on vista. The version is 4.5.015 for my blackberry. I have vista business installed with SP 1. When i do a synchronise, it crashes when it tries to replicate the calendar on my BB. I have a 8310 curve. The crash details are:

Saw an earlier post which suggested the following:
I would try deleting the intellisync folder and then trying to sync again. This may or may not help. Below are the instructions:
Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application.
Disconnect the BlackBerry device from the computer.
Double Click on My Computer> Local Disk (c>Documents and Settings>(username)>Application Data>Research In Motion>Blackberry>Intellisync
Note: If the Application Data folder is not present, click Tools>Folder Options at the top of the screen.
Click the View Tab, then click on Show Hidden Files and Folders.
Click Apply>Ok and continue through the remaining steps.
Delete everything within the Intellisync folder.
Launch BlackBerry Desktop Manager and attempt sync the device with the computer.
I have done this and sync seems to be working (for now anyway) - give it a go!

Print Screen using new Microsoft Remote Desktop app on Mac

I am trying to figure out how to do a screen capture of a window using the new Microsoft Remote Destkop app on my MacBook Pro. I don't have a numeric keypad so the Ctrl+Alt+Minus on the keypad does not work. On the older remote desktop
client there were preferences to remap this but I cannot figure it out on the new app. And the snipping tool is great if connected to an OS that has it. Otherwise it does not help.

Hi,
Please check if you have the PrtScn key on your keyboard. If so, you can use this key to capture a full screen screenshot and paste it such as MS paint.
If you do not have the key, you can start the On-Scrren Keyboard to use the PrtScn Key within the remote session.

Error Using New-WebServiceProxy cmdlet with SQL Agent Powershell Subsystem

I created a powershell script to connect to SSRS via web service so I can cache reports in the database and expose them directly through our application. The script works fine when I run it through Powershell directly, but when I try running it through the
SQL Agent Powershell subsystem I am getting a strange error:
"A job step received an error at line 61 in a PowerShell script. The corresponding line is '$RS = New-WebServiceProxy -Class 'RS' -Namespace 'RS' -Uri $reportServerURI -UseDefaultCredential '. Correct the script and reschedule the job. The error
information returned by PowerShell is: 'Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\yfqiivtg.dll' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. '. Process Exit Code -1. The step failed."
I am using SQL Server 2014, SSRS 2014, Windows 8.1. The only difference I can think of is that when I run Powershell from the OS, I am using v 4.0 whereas when I run it from SQL Agent it loads v 2.0. My understanding is that v 2.0 supports the New-WebServiceProxy
cmdlet, so I'm not convinced the version discrepancy is the culprit. Any ideas what might be causing this?
On a side note, is there a way to have SQL Agent use Powershell 4.0 for the subsystem? v 2.0 feels a little dated for SQL Server 2014.

When creating a PowerShell job step, there is only one security context available, which is the "SQL Server Agent Service Account." That means that if you intend to execute PowerShell scripts from SQL Agent Job steps, the SQL Server Agent
service account must have appropriate permissions.
According to your error message, I recommend to check if the SQL Server Agent service account has access to the folder where the scripts live, as well as the folder C:\WINDOWS\TEMP.
In addition, when we execute a PowerShell job step in SQL Server, SQL Server Agent subsystem run the sqlps utility, and the sqlps utility launches PowerShell 2.0 and imports the sqlps module. If you need to run a PowerShell v4.0 script from a SQL Server
Agent job, you can create a proxy account to run the agent job which contains PowerShell script. For more details, please review this similar blog:

WLS domain creation errors using new release (v5)

I'm running into errors in Step 5 of the beta install. I've completely uninstalled the previous version of everything (including RCU drop/create) and done a clean install using the files on the beta site after the announcement of the new release was made this morning.
It seems that the version string entries in "schema_version_registry" created by RCU differ. The "User Messaging", "OWSM MDS" and "SOA MDS" schemas all get created with version string "11.1.1.2.0" but "BAM" and "SOA Infrastructure" schemas are created with version "11.1.1.3.0". The WLS domain creation utility runs queries for ALL schemas having version "11.1.1.2.0", so the BAM and SOA Infrastructure schemas fail the test.
Should I manually edit the version strings in schema_version_registry so they all match 11.1.1.2.0 or will this cause problems elsewhere?
Here are the failing queries that the "Test Component Schema" screen is running for the WLS Domain creation step:
SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='BAM' and version='11.1.1.2.0'
SQL Test=select 1 from schema_version_registry where owner=(select user from dual) and mr_type='SOAINFRA' and version='11.1.1.2.0'
These succeed:

OK, I cleaned out all the old files downloaded fresh and did a complete re-install - now I'm getting an error about a missing file.
1. Installed WLS

The failure occurs on step 3 - while installing the SOA patchset it gives an error at 45% completion: "File not found - C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_bpmbeta\oracle_common\bin\commonenv.bat.template".
I checked and that file does not exist on the filesystem. There's a commenv.template file (a *nix shell script), but no commonenv.bat.template. There are other .bat.template files in that directory, but not commonenv

Error using 'Search' option in Planning.

Hi,
when i expand my webforms list on the left side of the Planning interface i am able to see all the folders expected.
on selecting one of those folders say 'x' i get a list of forms under 'x' which is fine .
But when i type the name of webform which is placed under folder 'x' in Search option which at bottom right side of the planning interface,
I get an the error ' exception occured. you dod not have sufficient access to view this page'.
But the point over here is if i am able to see and access the webform while searching for same webform why i am i getting this error.
can anybody help me on this?

Lync login error use self account without delete cache , but can login with others account anyway

I deployed Lync Server 2010 for my customer. it's running well for about one year.
but there are some users cannot login on lync these days. we tested the issue, the following is the test details:
- only about 20% users cannot login on lync use themselves client computers.
- when I delete the lync cache files at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Communicator
folder, they can login on once. we must delete the folder next time when the user need login on.
- we can use other user account to login on at the above computer anyway, need not the delete the folder.
would you plese give me some advice about this case.

I am not able to use my CORRECT user name and password when logging into some websites. I am using a new c omputer with Vista business.

If I use my laptop with XP, I have no problems. I also can login on my son's computer that is running Vista premium. What is the problem?? I have tried disabling add ons, virus software, defragging, disk clean up, clearing history, cookies, cache.

"Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now" 
"Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies" 
 
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

How to use quota on a desktop folder for all users with File Server Resource Manager.

Hi there,
I'd like to know if there is a posibility to use variables in the path with File Server Resource Manager if you want to set the quota.
The path I'd like to use is d:\home\%username%\desktop.
Like to hear from you all if there is a solution or workaround for this one :)

Using new MBP i7 and trying to install XP with SP3.

When I click on the button to start install, after creating partition, the windows screen comes up and says "Setup is inspecting your computers hardware configuration..."
At this point the system stays and nothing happens.
Tried a number of times and even tried to reboot with option key pressed.

Touchsmart IQ810 Calendar not sync'ing with Vista Calendar

Noticed that my Touchsmart calendar is not sync'ing with the Vista calendar events. Read the calendar threads here but they are all referring to the 500 series from what I can see.
Far as I am aware my Touchsmart software is uptodate. Rather the HP Advisor and it is not downloading anything new.
Would appreciate any suggestions.

i wouldn't rely on the hp advisor alone, why not download the calender update yourself and install it on your pc.

Desktop calendar for PC Suite/Nokia 5500?

I don't use MS Outlook, but want a basic desktop calendar that will sync with my 5500. At the moment, I can't back-up calendar entries or create and amend them on my PC - very frustrating.
Anyone found an application or add-on that integrates with Nokia PC Suite?
