We are facing authentication error while publishing the app for YouTube data source.
All credentials and service keys are provided and correct. it works in source file, but not when published.

Error in generating data source from planning area

Hi experts! I have an error while making data source from planning area:
after the screen when i fill in the data source name (Window name: Generate export data source) i have the SYNTAX_ERROR Message:
Syntax error in program /sapapo/cl_im_extract_ex======cp
the main reason: the type /BI0/9A0IVWKNDGD is unknown
what you can suggest to solve this problem?

The reason is the program is trying to use the datatype '/BI0/9A0IVWKNDGD' which does not exist in the system.
Go SE11 to cross check if it exists. Check dataelement radiobutton -> enter /BI0/9A0IVWKNDGD -> Choose display option. You would need to create this datatype in the system. I feel there must some OSS Note related to this.
Search for an OSS Note. Raise one if you cannot find the relevant notes.

Error while deleting data source : Message RSO414

Hello Guys,
We have activated data source 2LIS_04_PKKANBAN and entire standard BI content . When i tried to extract data, i got 0 records initially and after that i came to know that some functions needs to be activated in ECC to extract KANBAN data.
We activated some function and deleted & filled setup tables for KANBAN and i can see data in RSA3 (368 Records). Then i tried to extract data into SAP BI. it took me 20 minutes but ended with error. "Data Source needs to be activated again as it was changed (We just activated one function only) nothing changed to data source" I activated data source again in ECC and replicate on SAP BI side but i am not able to get it in activated mode.
I tried to activate it manually and it takes 20-25 minutes but i am not able to activate it and getting error "Error when activating DataSource : MESSAGE NO RSO414 " "Error when resetting DataSource 2LIS_04_PKKANBAN to the active version". i also can't delete data source as when i try to delete it, i get the error "ERROR WHEN DELETING DATA SOURCE : MESSAGE NO RSO414" . What to do in this situation ?

Also there is no FM in SAP BI called RS_DATASOURCE_ACTIVATE_ALL. I have activated data source in my ERP system and replicated same on BI side as we don't have standard Transfer Rules or Transformation, i can't use RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL .

How to define data-sources-alias.xml to use Oracle data source

Hi,
I created Oracle jdbc Data Source named "MYDS" in Visual Admin. I added the alias = MYDS_ALIAS. I set the Initial Connection to 2. On the Monitor tab, I see a green line running across the screen. The datasource MYDS is connected to the Oracle.
Now, I would like to define "data-sources-alias.xml" to use MYDS.
When creating data-source-aliases.xml it creates the alias by default on ${com.sap.datasource.default} which is the default DB.
I followed the link --> How to point data-source-aliases.xml to another Datasource
and my data-sources-alias.xml is now:

I follow the instruction in the link below to create an ADF Swing application using datasource. I am using JDeveloper version 10.1.3.

If I configure the application module connection type as JDBC URL, everything works.

Can someone show me how to adjust the generated code by ADF to use datasource?

ADF BC has a bug. With Data Source in Application Module, application module does not connect. Use JDBC Connection URL.

Failed to Authenticate - Submitting Document using Remote Data Source

This is the error in PTSpy when I try and submit a document in a folder using the Data Source.
This is on a development server, our production server works fine with the settings in the Data Source/Web Service and Remote Server. Where else should I look to resolve this issue?
We have checked all the user permissions for the user named in the Data Source.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am having the same problem when trying to set up or use the "File System" data source. I get the following error:
An error occurred while validating the remote XUI service. Verify the Web Service settings, including the SOAP Encoding Style.
At the bottom of the page, there is another error:
<TD noWraplign=left colSpan=2>User logon failed. <TD noWraplign=left colSpan=2>Verify the user name and password are correct. <TD noWraplign=left colSpan=2>Verify the user has "Log on as a Batch Job" user-right on remote server.
The user does have 'Log on as a Batch Job' priveleges. I have checked everything I can think of, but I am still getting this error. Turned on debug for the service and got the following:
LogonUser failed with Error:[1314] A required privilege is not held by the client.

Make sure the user has 'Log on as a Batch Job' rights on the CWS machine. Also, ensure the CWS machine is in the same domain as the user it is trying to impersonate, or a domain that trusts the domain of that user.
Also, there is logging available. Amend the web.config file (\plumtree\ptntcws\5.0\webapp\ntcws). Change the line:
<level value="INFO" />
to be
<level value="DEBUG" />
The log will be output to D:\Program Files\plumtree\ptntcws\5.0\settings\logs\log.txt (this is the default value, again this is set in the web.config file). This will help you get more information on the error.

How to create a report using XML data source from Crystal Report Designer

Hi,
Iu2019m having Crystal Report Designer XI R2 SP4. Iu2019m trying to create a report using XML data source stored on disk. This is a customer order report and the xml is structured in such a way that it has an order details header part (master) and then it has several order lines (detail). One order line can have several order line characteristics (detail-detail). So what I need to know is now I can design this layout from the designer. If this was done using views I can do it with sub-reports but using xml data this seems to be different. Can you help me to design this layout? I have included the xml and xsd as well.

Thank you for the response and ideas you have given me so far. I can get the fetch the data from the data source without any problem. That is I do the following,
1.     New Report
2.     From Create New Connection-> XML
3.     Provide the u201CLocal XML Fileu201D and have u201CSpecify Schema Fileu201D checked -> Next
4.     Provide the u201CLocal Schema Fileu201D -> Finish
Then I can see the following under XML

Any examples of a data template using multiple data sources?

I'm looking for an example report using multiple data sources. I've seen one where they do a master/detail but I'm just looking to combine results in sorted order (sorted across all data sources). The master/detail used a bind variable to link the two defined queries, I'm thinking what I want won't have that, so I'm lost on how to make that happen. I have reports using multiple sql queries and there is a way in the data source pulldown to tell it to combine the data sources. It appears to be a more manual process with data templates, if it's even possible.
Any pointers/links would be appreciated.

That's just it. Mine is simpler than that. There is no master/detail relationship between the two queries. I have the same exact query that I run in two databases and I want to merge the results (ordered, by, say eventTime) in one report. So I think my results are going to be two separate groups (one for each data source) which I'll have to let BI merge vis XSLT or whatever it uses. That's fine for small result sets but for larger ones, it would be nice if the database did the sorting/merging.

Error while activating Data source

Hi,
I hit an error while activating data source with adapter 'WEB_PUSH web service'.
The error message is 'Generation of conversion exists and PSA update ...' with details 'Error generating Web service /BIC/CZZZ_0010000100 ...' and 'Error when activating DataSource ZZZ_001'.
I can't find much detail on this error.
Has anyone hit this error before and if you did can you please let me know what to check?

I followed them exactly but removed <cq:include script="head.jsp"/> line from the jsp since I do not have a head.jsp.
my config node settings are as follows.
But when I go to the page, I get below error message.
error! No data source found with name 'mynewdsname' (after asking 0 providers)
DB is up and running. I could not find any issue with it. Code is as follows.

Is it possible to use same data source for two info cube

Hi,
My Problem is in BW we can not have value of material at storage location level.In R/3 also value is maintained at plant level.
Then we searched and we found out one hot to doc for summarized display of stock values on storage location level.
Problem is that we have gone live in last December and we are using " 0AFMM_C02 " and it contains around 1,81,26,000 records. and according to note we have to use
"0IC_C03".
Both the cube uses same data sources for the data.So, how to get the data for "0IC_C03".
and how to delete the data of existing info cube.And is it possible to delete data selectively from the info cube.

Hi,
You can't create update rule from PSA.You can create from the infosource or from ODS or from cube to cube or ODS to ODS.
In your scenario, what you can do is create update rules from the ODS to the new cube and then transfer the data from there. Or from the Infosource create rules to the new data target and then upload the full data and then set up the delta.
Third option is to create update rules from the existing cube to the new cube and then load all the data one time. Then you can deactivate the update rules as that was needed only for 1 time data transfer.
