Error viewing .jspx document in internet explorer

Hi all ,
I have a .jspx document that part of a ADF-BC JSF project
The document displays ok in firefox but when I try to view it from IE I get the following message
The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
A string literal was expected, but no opening quote character was found. Error processing resource 'http://lxbakalidis:8988...

Hi Malathi
This is more of a IE > Flash > Portal conflict which can be simply ignored. It has no impact on SPM. Infact you wont experience this if you use some other browser.

How about if you right click on the PDF and select Save Link As..., and then open it locally from within Reader? Does it work ok then? That might be a workaround until the issue within the browser is resolved.

The plugin is gets called when we open any pdf document in internet explorer

Hello,
I have written plug-in( .api) for our use. But it's get called when ever I open any pdf document in internet explorer.
I am using Adobe Acrobat 10. What could be the problem. I don't want to call plug-in methods on internet explorer.
The plug-in method should call when am launch Adobe acrobat separately.
Please help me to solve this issue.

I have written some function in PluginInit. I don't want to call the method when acrobat launches in IE. It should call only when acrobat launches in Desktop.

Wont print get error messages works fine on internet explorer

Any time I want to print something it gives me an error message.This has happened for a while.Warning: Error in parsing value for 'filter'. Declaration dropped.

FireFox 3.6.13 Locks up Microsoft XPS Document Writer, PDF995 (created Acrobat pdf file output) stops printing mid document, and Internet Explorer works fine

Microsoft XPS Document Writer locks up and PDF995.com (creates acrabat pdf file) stops printing after the second page from this site http://super.nova.org/DPR/CinematicApproach/. This was a Windows 7, 64 bit machine that had the issue. Microsoft Internet explorer works fine and printed the document with Internet Explorer.
The machine that displayed FireFox printing issues was a up to date Win 7, 64 bit, Quad Core, 8 Gig Ram. Don't really have a question just reporting a FireFox Bug.

do you have a solution for the problem? We have actually a similar problem with locked IE8 when using a zoom factor > 100% (it's a customer WD4A).

KM Document iView - Internet Explorer Error

Hi All,
I have uploaded word docs to KM and then proceeded to create KM Doc iViews which link to the word docs. When I preview the iView i get a dialog box asking me whether I want to open, save or cancel. If I click either open or save I get an internet explorer error which says "Internet Explorer cannot download...[filepathandname] from [hosturl]. Internet Explorer was not able to open this site. The requested url is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."
What am I doing wrong?
Also, shouldn't the files contents be displayed in the iView instead of opening up Microsoft Word?

Yes I have checked the path, and it is the correct one, it does contain the %20 escape characters too. But one thing you mentioned that I noticed may not be right is the fact the when I am actually in KM and I click the uploaded word document I get the same IE error. Does this mean that the document hasn't uploaded correctly? KM obviously knows that there is a word doc there because the download dialog box shows the Name, File Type and Host details. Another thing I noticed this time around was that the host details from when I click on the KM doc link is different from the path host in the KM doc iView, I think this is resulting from using BigIP to mask url details/load balancing?
Any suggestions?

Error opening XDP file from Internet Explorer

Problem: We currently can view pay check online. But users always have problem printing online pay check. So we decided that we will convert online web pay check to PDF so that users can easily print it. We are on Peoplesoft. - I have created a PDF form using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.0 (which looks exactly like paycheck) - This form is stored on web server(IIS). - Written code (PeopleCode) which will take data from online pay check page and populate the blank PDF form stored on server. - Used ContentType("application/vnd.adobe.xdp+xml") to display PDF in browser. We have many legacy applications developed using ASP and VB(InterDev). Our organisation is moving to use Internet Explorer 10 in the near future.
We had a IE10 compatibility testing for our legacy applications and we observed that the applications using Active Report Viewer to generate the reports are not working. Applications works perfectly fine with the older version of Internet Explorer.
We looked for the various workarounds but we did not succeed.
Some application does nothing when we click on a button to generate the report but some applications throws the below error:
"ActiveX
control failed to load! -- This control is required to use the Address Book and Attachment features. Please check your browser security settings and/or contact PC Support to install the digitally signed control."
We will be glad if we get any assistance on this issue.

Works in applet viewer but not in internet explorer

I origionaly posted this on devshed. I got 55 views but no replies. It seems to be a common problem to which no one knows the answer. Surprise me :O)I'm sure this is a really common but there seems to be surprisinly litttle on the web about it.
I developed a game applet a while ago in applet viewer and am now thinking about putting it on my web site. However I have found that it doesn't work in internet explorer. I can browse other sites using Java fine. There is clearly just something about my applet that ie doesn't like.
Does anyone have any suggestions? What sort of things upset ie?

There must be some thing that tells you it isn't working. You should tell us so we don't have to guess. Does the browser hang? Do you get an error? Did you try opening the Java Console to see if there were any messages? I am guessing that your code is using something that the security level of an Applet does not allow (but appletviewer does allow).

Scripting error when using 64 bit internet explorer

Could you please give me a solution to the following:
Laptop HP Pavillion dv7-3112sa Windows 7
Printer HP Photosmart B209
Wireless connection Netgear DGND 3300 v2
When I use internet explorer 64 bit and try to print, I get a message "Scripting Error" and it will not print.
This is OK on 32 bit.
I cannot update my HP software because I lose wireless communications altogether and have to do a restore to get it to work again.

Scripting errors are related to how the website behaves with a browser.
In this case, it is printing script that is having an issue and it appears to be with the 64bit Internet Explorer since it works fine with Internet Explorer 32bit.

64bit web browsing is still a very small portion of web sites and very few fully support the 64bit browsing experience. I highly recommend using a 32bit web browser for viewing websites as this will give you the best compatibility as every website still supports 32bit browsing, but not all sites are fully compatible with 64bit browsers.

Cannot print due to error message--printer working with Internet Explorer--How do I correct?

Last week printer worked fine with Firefox.
This week a message comes back "an error occurred while printing".
Printer works fine with Internet Explorer.

To test how Firefox runs "uncustomized" on your system, could you do a two-minute experiment?

Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run):

Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog.
You'll click the Create Profile button. I recommend using the default location suggested (i.e., just ignore the option to choose a different folder). Then start Firefox in the new profile you created.
Can you print?
When returning to the Profile Manager, you might be tempted to use the Delete Profile button. But... it's a bit too easy to accidentally delete your "real" profile, so I recommend resisting the temptation. If you do want to clean up later, I suggest making a backup of all your profiles first in case something were to go wrong.

Access to pdf document in internet explorer

Hi folks
My task is to send specific opened pdf document in adobe reader (as plugin in IE) to some web service.
I dont want to make plugin or adobe javascript, cos it would stay in adobe reader forever and i need that
function only in one moment.
Or maybe i want plugin or adobe javascript, but im very new in this stuff.
Workflow is that customer clicks to download pdf document, it opens in IE, he signs the pdf (i have solve this
already) and then click to my special button or do something and it sends the document back (for exapmple to webservice)
My question is, is that possible at all?
If yes, how?
I c only something like thru "classic" javascript i get acces to pdf document via adobe reader API and then also via javascript send the opened document. But i have no idea how

I didnt say abything about a email.
All i need is somehow get document from opened adobe reader in internet explorer (or other browsers) and send it somewhere.
I realize the javascript is bad way, i have access to pdf object, but i cannost send it from javascript. Javascript cant serialize the pdf object and send him to web service (no this is not email). So maybe the activex is better way, but i didnt find in adobe reader API something like getDocument() method i can call from web page.

SharePoint 2013 - Unable to open Office documents in Internet Explorer - cannot access file

In SharePoint 2013 some of our users receive an error message when trying to open an Office application from Internet Explorer 11. Other users on the same browser don't have this issue.
Any ideas on how to resolve?

When trying to open an article on the Epson Knowledgebase Firefox reports 'SYSTEM ERROR'. page opens fine in internet explorer

When I try and open the link to an article on the Epson Kowledgebase Firefox shows a large exclamation mark ! and the message'APPLICATION ERROR. If problem persists contact system administrator' . When I open the same link in Internet explorer it works fine. Why will it not open in Firefox please? any ideas?

Hello, can you please provide the link of the offending page which is working fine on Internet Explorer, but showing an 'Application Error' so that we can take a look. Typically this happens if the website owner has some code specific to IE that is not cross-platform.
