Error when adding SAP Room Calendar to Collaboration Room

Hello folks,
I tried to enhance my collaboration room by adding the Calendar room part to my collaboration room. However, I got the following error when I tried to display it after adding it to the room. Does anyone know where the problem lies or how I can access the log file to view the exception ID as it is mentioned in the error message?
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :

Component Name : null
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
Page could not create the iView.
Thank you,
Katharina

Hi Katharina,
I would take a look under the node Server -> Log viewer... And then Cluster -> Server -> g:\usr\sap -> <instance name> -> j2ee\cluster\server0 -> log defaultTrace.trc
(or something similar to that....)
Kind regrads,
dominik

  • Error when adding Essbase server...

    Hi,
    I installed Hyperion System 9.3.1 in my development machine and encounter the following error when adding a Essbase server in AAS for the first time.
    Error: 1042017: Network error: The client or server timed out waiting to receive data using TCP/IP. Check network connections. Increase the NetRetryCount and/or NetDelay values in the ESSBASE.CFG file. Update this file on both client and server. Restart the client and try again.
    I used the default user "admin" and password "password". I used my servername:10080 as the server name. I hope I am right.
    Why is this happening? I tried changing netdelay settings but still get the same. Is this something else? Does this have anything to do with my TCP/IP settings? I am installing this on a virtual PC.
    I couldn't find an answer in previous posts.
    regards
    h

    The things that come to mind:
    The server name you use should be the name of the virtual PC, not the machine it's running on. Also, depending on the settings for the Virtual PC environment, you may have to change the network options to allow it to be visible to the network, be in the right domain, etc...
    The above may or may not get you any closer, the error message itself is just saying it can't receive a response from the server, which means the server never got the request or can't send a response back.
    Good Luck,

  • Library error when adding contact or when logging in

    The messenger server has a replica of the partition holding the users.
    It's an OES 2 sp2 server, and the GW Messenger is 2.04.
    Sometimes we see an error that says 'Library error' when adding a contact, or it doesn't show all users that exists with the search parameter given.
    We also sporadically see a 'Library error' when some users log in to it.
    Looking in the log I see an error that says 0xAE16 when users log in fails.
    I can find the 0xAE11 error in the TID's but not the 0xAE16, I did find an article on the forums, mentioning this problem http://forums.novell.com/novell-prod...or-server.html, they mention memory problems, so it seems to me there is a bug that needs fixing.

    I've disabled the '/diruseralias-"Internet EMail Address"' setting that was set up in the strtup.ma and strtup.aa scripts.
    I've also, for now at least, chosen another replica.
    I haven't seen the errors yet, so here's hoping...

    CJS-20060 error when upgrading SAP WEBAS640 SPS12
    Posted: Oct 20, 2005 10:21 AM        Reply      E-mail this post
    Hi,
    I am trying to upgrade my current EP6.0 SPS10 environment to SPS12. But right now, I can't even get the sapinst to go past this one error after entering the path to the Java Cryptography Extension. After entering the path and clicking next, I get the following error message.
    ERROR 2005-10-20 09:45:09
    CJS-20060 <html>You entered the instance number 0 on host tp1 for the JC instance.<p>In the SAP system TP1, an JC instance exists already with the instance number 00 on host wsawd03q.</html>
    We are currently running Portal on an HA Environment. The SCS instance was installed on host sapgrp. The CI instance was installed on wsawd03q. I am currently upgrading the CI instance. I've tried using the SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME but it did not work and I don't believe its relevant because my CI does not use a virtual host name.
    Please assist with this issue. Thank you very much in advance.
    Regards,
    Kiet Tran

    Hi,
    This is a known problem which I think will be fixed in future versions of sapinst.
    What you need to do is to move the profile files of the other system from /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profiles , to a temporary location untill the installation starts. You can then start the installation and move the files back at the same time.
    Basically, sapinst doesn't truely realize that you are installing on a virtual host, and therefore believes there is a conflict
    PS you must use the SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME parameter if you have a virtual host.
    Cheers

    Install the 32bit version of the Java connector. BOBJ is 32bit so even on 64bit Windows you need the 32bit version of the Java Connector.

  • Add role to user when added to room

    Hi,
    We currently have all the users from our LDAP server available in the portal. When our content manager creates a new room and adds members we also have to give the members a default role in order to logon. These seperate steps are necessary, because we don't want give access to all the LDAP users.
    Does anyone know if there is a feature, by which we can give users a default role automatically, when adding them as room members?
    Looking forward to your reply.
    Kind regards,
    Joost Christenhusz

    Hi Joost,
    This feature is not available out of the box. To achieve this functionality you can write your own room extension and make sure that this extension is used in the room template. In the extension you can assign the required portal role to the room members. The extension gets executed when the room is created and your room members will be assigned the appropriate portal role. Use this guide as a starting point for room extensions
    https://media.sdn.sap.com/html/submitted_docs/nw_kmc/howto/coll/Room%20Extension%20Developer%20Guide.html
    Hope this helps.

  • Error when adding AP invoice

    Dear All,
    I find an error appears when adding AP invoice, the error message is:
    there is a different between document total and its components[A/P invoice - Rows - Warehouse code][line : 0][message 439 - 138]. I could not add the AP invoice because of this error. Please give advice. Thanks
    Rgds,

    Hello,
    I am trying to replicate your problem but fails. Maybe you could try to duplicate the row line that the components exist by right click --> duplicate and then delete the old row where it has been used to add AP invoice previously.
    IF the problem still persists, just contact SAP support.
    Rgds,

  • TableSorter errors when adding new data

    so here is the deal:
    I am using the TableSorter.java helper class with DefaultTableModel
    from: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html

    * TableSorter is a decorator for TableModels; adding sorting
    * functionality to a supplied TableModel. TableSorter does
    * not store or copy the data in its TableModel; instead it maintains
    * a map from the row indexes of the view to the row indexes of the
    * model. As requests are made of the sorter (like getValueAt(row, col))
    * they are passed to the underlying model after the row numbers
    * have been translated via the internal mapping array. This way,
    * the TableSorter appears to hold another copy of the table
    * with the rows in a different order.
    * <p/>
    * TableSorter registers itself as a listener to the underlying model,
    * just as the JTable itself would. Events recieved from the model
    * are examined, sometimes manipulated (typically widened), and then
    * passed on to the TableSorter's listeners (typically the JTable).
    * If a change to the model has invalidated the order of TableSorter's
    * rows, a note of this is made and the sorter will resort the
    * rows the next time a value is requested.
    * <p/>
    * When the tableHeader property is set, either by using the
    * setTableHeader() method or the two argument constructor, the
    * table header may be used as a complete UI for TableSorter.
    * The default renderer of the tableHeader is decorated with a renderer
    * that indicates the sorting status of each column. In addition,
    * a mouse listener is installed with the following behavior:
    * <ul>
    * <li>
    * Mouse-click: Clears the sorting status of all other columns
    * and advances the sorting status of that column through three
    * values: {NOT_SORTED, ASCENDING, DESCENDING} (then back to
    * NOT_SORTED again).
    * <li>
    * SHIFT-mouse-click: Clears the sorting status of all other columns
    * and cycles the sorting status of the column through the same
    * three values, in the opposite order: {NOT_SORTED, DESCENDING, ASCENDING}.
    * <li>
    * CONTROL-mouse-click and CONTROL-SHIFT-mouse-click: as above except
    * that the changes to the column do not cancel the statuses of columns
    * that are already sorting - giving a way to initiate a compound
    * sort.
    * </ul>
    * <p/>
    * This is a long overdue rewrite of a class of the same name that
    * first appeared in the swing table demos in 1997.

    The code you posted doesn't help us at all. Its just a duplicate of the code from the tutorial. The custom code is what you have written. For example do you update the TableModel from the Event Thread? Do you update the SortModel or the DefaultTableModel? If you actually provide your test code and somebody has already downloaded the sort classes, then maybe they will test your code against the classes. But I doubt if people will download the sort classes and create a test program just to see if they can duplicate your results (at least I know I'm not about to).
