Error when burning data dvd after installing 7.3.2.6

Making a data backup of a playlist of about 400 songs. Around 6 songs have the exclamation point with the error message "The song could not be used because the original could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" I located the originals and then went to burn again. Same error message on the same songs. On my library, these six songs are just fine (no exclamation mark) and the original location is plainly listed under "Get Info" and "Where." Is there a solution?

The mystery thickens. I added songs to the playlist. Only 79 of them made it to the DVD. However, the songs that previously had the exclamation mark were among the few that made it onto the DVD. No explanation for why the rest of the songs were not included.

  • Error processing calendar data (210) after installing Sec Update 2010-1

When we were first setting up the web calendar, we had some trouble with 210 errors because the directory we were storing the calendar data in didn't have the right permissions. We reverted the data store to the default location Library/CalendarServer/Documents, with the Documents folder having the _calendar user as owner, with read & write access, the _calendar group having read only access, and everyone having no access.
    This hasn't changed.
However, after installing the Sec Update 2010-1 last night, we're getting 210 errors again. Any ideas?

Looks like it's a DNS issue for me

  • IDVD video encode error when burning to DVD

I am trying to burn a new copy of a project I successfully burned to DVD 2 years ago.  I have not changed the source material.  After the menu renders and video encoding begins I immediately get an error message "video encoding error."  There are no menu warnings.  All video is successfully previewed.  Nothing has changed from the previous burn.  The project info box shows all video and audio properly encoded and present.
    What gives?

The way from FCE or FCP has been the same for me for lot's of years since FinalCut 1.2.5 I think (was no Express or Pro then)
And QuickTime Conversion never worked for me - I guess You were lucky two years ago.

May not be relevant, but I had the same problem with iDVD, where burned DVDs showed a green screen. It was cured by quitting Quicksilver and Quickeys as well as disabling sleep and screen-saving

  • Validation Error when burning a DVD

When I export a slide show from iPhoto to iDVD and press the icon to BURN, a warning comes up that there were problems during validation process (whatever that is?) and suggests not burning the DVD until the problems have been corrected. I can continue and it will burn the slideshow to the DVD okay even with this warning but later, say on another day, if I try to bring up the slide show in iDVD to try and burn it again, a message comes up that says there were problems during the validation process and won't let me burn another DVD. How do I go about fixing this problem?
iMac (PowerPC)   Mac OS X (10.4.10)

    Welcome to the discussions
The error you are getting can be caused by a different Formats of the slideshow you are trying to copy. Example if you are trying to copy Tiff, Jpeg, and Pic files through iDVD this may be your problem.
iDVD was developed for the user to make copies of there home movies and the like.
You will find that 3rd prty software like Roxio;s Toast-8 will make your problems go away.
or you can use the finder and follow the directions in this link.

  • Transcode Error when burning to DVD

Trying to to a DVD in PRE10. It begins to encode the media and does great until it gets to the 24% mark. It then says I have a "transcode error" and stops. I have rendered the footage, it plays through fine, but I can't burn a DVD or save it as a AVI either. What does that message mean and does it mean it's occurring 24% into the project? I've checked all I know to check. The project is less than 4 minutes in length, so I don't think that could have anything to do with it. Help - working with a deadline

MY timeline is at 24% everytime the error occurs, so I take that would be about at the half way point of the project since it makes the 2 passes. Anyway I've had no luck. I redid the project again, albeit, hurriedly so, but I had worse results, error again , but right at the atart of the burn. I went through the project as best I could looking for any gaps, seen none. Per your suggestion, added a title on video track 3, I have an audio track, video 1 track is completely filled, a couple of clips on video track 2. I've never encountered this before to this extent. usually there is a gap, but not this time. I'm running Windows XP SP3, a 7200 rpm HD, 4g of memory, ATI video card. I defragmented my main drive before starting, so I had roughly 20gb free. I missed my deadline, but my aggravation was more irritating. Thanks for the info Hunt.

So I mounted my DVD and burnt 2 x copies successfully. When it came to number three the message "Medium write error" came up and the disk was rejected unburnt! I got the new iMac cos the old one's DVD burner failed. What can I do to get things working again? iMac is about a month old.

or is it safe to say that the more expensive the dvds the highr the chance that it will work

    Look at SuperMediaStore.
You might be able to find them cheaper. I was just checking to see if they make them.

  • Can't burn blank CD after installing CD that came with ipod nano

Can't burn blank CD after installing ipod software - I have the system prefs set to launch Toast 6 when inserting a blank disk, and the drive just churns and then ejects the CD. It mounts and runs burned music and data disks with no problem.
My job requires me to burn data disks from pictures I take at work. Should I re-install Toast? The OS? I ran Disk Utility to check/fix permissions, and no change.

The CD that came with the nano won't have anything on it that you won't get with a full iTunes install. In fact, it may have been an OLDER version of the iTunes software than what you had installed before.
I'd reccomend downloading the latest version of iTunes from Apple and installing that to rule out software reversion issues.
If the problem still exists, try booting into toast before inserting the blank disk and see if Toast can still burn to the CD. If it can, then odds are you have to re-instruct your computer to boot toast when a blank CD is inserted. If it can't see the blank CD, or the Finder spits it out again, then I think you'd have to re-install Toast.

  • Burning Data DVD's

When I try to create and use a burn folder to store a collection of jpg's all I can add are alias', not the pictures themselves. This function works just fine on the Mac Pro running Tiger but I can't drag-and-drop or copy-and-paste in Leopard. How do I fix this?

Go to Mac Help and enter burning data dvds in the question box: the following comes up but unless you go to the Mac Help site, the links below will not forward.
About burning your own CDs or DVDs
You can burn files to a CD or DVD, and then use that disc as a backup, send it to friends, or copy those files to another machine. Mac OS X burns discs that can also be used on Windows computers and other types of computers.
    Burning a disc quickly
You can burn a disc by dragging files to it and then clicking the Burn button.

    Burning a CD or DVD
Burning the same files to discs multiple times
You can create multiple discs with the same collection of files by creating a burn folder and then burning that folder to a disc as many times as you want. For example, you can create a burn folder with data files that you frequently back up or with video files that you want to create several copies of to share with several people.

    Creating a burn folder
Burning music, photos and videos to a disc
You can enjoy your music, photos, and videos away from your computer, or share them with others, by burning them to a disc with iTunes, iPhoto, and iMovie.

    Open iTunes

    Open iPhoto

    Open iMovie
    Duplicating a disc
You can duplicate a CD or DVD, to back it up or share it with others.

    Duplicating a CD or DVD
Burning a disk image to a disc
If you downloaded a disk image that you want to save, you can burn it to a CD or DVD.

Burning a disk image on a CD or DVD with Disk Utility
Burning to a disc multiple times
Normally, you can burn items to a recordable CD only one time. However, with Disk Utility, you can burn items to a disc in more than one session as long as space is available.

Burning to a recordable CD more than once
    Troubleshooting
If you’re having problems while burning a CD or DVD, try these solutions:

Finding what CDs and DVDs you can burn

If an error message appears while you burn a CD or DVD

If the disc burning options are dimmed or unavailable

  • Getting error in sdp94 " data partly after horizon" any suggetionu2026

    Hi gurus,
i have changed period in SBP and  in SE38 planning area initialization in variants changed  /SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_INITIALIZ ) , still getting error in sdp94 " data partly after horizon" any suggetionu2026
    babu

    Hi Babu,
Kindly check till when is the planning area initialized. Goto //msdp_admin, right click on the planning area---> Created time series objects. Check the date till when it is initialized. You can save the data only if it's in this period. In the planning book there may be dates after the planning horizon also in which case you can't save data.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Error when using data postion delay

I obtained this error when using data position delay. Can anyone please
tell me the reason why I can not configure the delay to be between 0.7
    and 0.8.
    Possible reason(s):
Driver Status:  (Hex 0xBFFA403F) Unable to configure requested delay property given the current clock rate.
Ensure that the delay value specified is within the valid range for the
frequency specified or do not configure property for delay operation.
    Device: PXI1Slot2
    Property: Data Position
    Sample Rate: 40000000.0
    Requested Value: 0.71875
    Supported Values: 0.000 through 0.200, 0.300 through 0.700, 0.800 through 1.000,
    Status Code: -219401

    Timothy,
The 656x devices have a limit on the available data delay values based
on frequency.  Between 25MHz and 50MHz there are "holes" in the
available delay range.  Above 50MHz, the full 0 to 1 data delay is
valid.  If you look in the specifications installed with NI HSDIO
for the NI 656x, on page 7, Figure 1, there is an illustration showing
how to compute what the valid range is for the frequency of interest.
For example, at 40MHz, valid values are:
    0 to 0.2
    0.3 to 0.7
    0.8 to 1
In the error message posted below, you tried to input a value of 0.71875 which is not within these ranges.
