Error when calling an EJB from a web sevice

Hi all,
I am getting the following error while trying to the lookup for my session bean
com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Path to object does not exist at java:comp, the whole lookup name is java:comp/env/ejb/MyProcessorBean
here's a part of my code:
String WebserviceFunction()
Context ctx = new InitialContext();
BiasProcessorLocalHome orderHome =(BiasProcessorLocalHome)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/ejb/MyProcessorBean");
I am using NWDS Version: 7.0.09
SAP NetWeaver 2004s.
I did find some threads related to it but none has been answered or weren't
that helpful in solving my problem.
Thanks
null

Hi,
What is the implementation of your Web service? If it's another EJB then you have to define an ejb-local-ref in the deployment descriptor for that other EJB, like this:
<ejb-local-ref>
    <ejb-ref-name>ejb/MyProcessorBean</ejb-ref-name>
    <ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
    <local-home>your.package.BiasProcessorLocalHome</local-home>
    <local>your.package.BiasProcessorLocal</local>
</ejb-local-ref>
If it's not a J2EE component, there is no java:comp environment naming context (ENC) available. In this case you can look up the EJB local home from the "localejbs/" context, e.g. "localejbs/provider.name/YourAppName/YourEjbName". By default the provider name is "sap.com".

    The procedure apex_cdc.enable_table_capture i created myself with no authid mentioned explicitly, so it uses definer rights, by default.
    BUt this procedure is simply a wrapper for sys.dbms_cdc_publish.create_change_table.
    When I look on the security model for this sys.dbms_cdc_publish, i see it runs under invoker rights. (http://www.psoug.org/reference/dbms_cdc_publish.html).
    The code is like this:

  • Error when calling a procedure from my apex application

    Hello.
    I want to create a small APEX application that can configure asynchronous change data capture (distributed hotlog) on certain tables.
    Basically, what the application should do is to simply create change tables. Everything else is set up as prerequisite.
    My problem is that when I run the following script from schema apex_cdd (using sqldeveloper) , it works; but if I run it from my apex application by calling it when pressing a button as a pl/sql process, it doen't work.
    BEGIN

    Other remarks:
    - My procedure calls: sys.DBMS_CDC_PUBLISH.CREATE_CHANGE_TABLE.
    - I gave the same rights that I gave for apex_cdc schema to flows_030200 and APEX_PUBLIC_USER schemas (just to see if it works), but it doens't.
    Is APEX calling the procedure from another schema ?
    Does anyone has an idea why this procedure crashes if called from APEX application, but works ok if called from the same schema APEX application runs on, but using SQLDeveloper ?
    Any thoughts are appreciated.

    Hi all,
    I have a Personalized Button, my button call a customized form (with a parameter named TAINV_PARAM). Function of customized Form is TAINV_FORM
    In OAF page, I have a text, it's values is 'TAINV', it's ID is VALUES_ATTRIBUTE (you can show source code in browser).
    In Destination URL of Personalized Button, fill code to call Customized Form:
    *javascript: var v_get_value=document.GetElementById(VALUES_ATTRIBUTE).innerHTML;openWindow(top, 'OA.jsp?OAFunc=TAINV_FORM&TAINV_PARAM'+v_get_value,null, {width:750, height:550},false, 'dialog', null);void(0);*

  • Error in calling an EJB from another EJB

    Hello All,
    I have a scenario where i need to call a method of an ejb from another ejb.
    Both the EJB's are in different DC's.
    EG: DC1 using DC2
    I have added the public part of DC2 in DC1.
    The following code is written in DC1 to access the EJB of DC2
          MyRemote l_remote;
           MyHome l_home;
           InitialContext l_ctx = new InitialContext();
    >>       l_home = (MyHome)l_ctx.lookup("JNDI Name");
           l_remote = (MyRemote)l_home.create();
    There is no error at build time and deploy time, but at run time "MyHome" class is not found.
    Even i am not able to access the helper class defined in the DC2 at runtime.
    Please help.
    Thanks in Advance

    First off, wrong forum section.
    Check if your JNDI name is correctly placed for the bean you're calling -- check j2ee-engine.xml for that. Check the EJB container if the ear file you deployed is there and updated.
    Try placing  "localejbs/JNDI name" on your lookup parameter.

  • Error when calling a custom component in Web UI.

    Hello Experts ,
    We have  created a custom component for guided procedure in Web UI . When we link the custome component with the standard component for the home page ( WCC_SSV_HOME ) we found that custom controller for guided procedure works . We are navigating the guided procedure for search functioanlity and it works fine and shows the search result .
    But when we click on any of the searched objects say a Case , then links on that  Case is not working .
    For example , we are getting the below  error :
    Exception Class  CX_BSP_WD_INCORRECT_IMPLEMENT - Define NavigationalLink BP for source view ZSOA.MainWindow
    Any inputs on this is higly apreciated.
    Regards
    Vinayak

    Hi Vinayak,
    I am assuming that the implementation of the navigation from the search result to the object details is not working.
    The error you mentioned pointed me that you do not have the navigation link. I don't know what is missing so I am giving you the full details please cross check what you missed.
    1> create and eventhandler e.g. EH_ONSINGLESELECTION
    2> create an outbound plug in your view - this plug is used for the navigation to the target of the hyperlink.
    3> create an outbound plug in the window.
    Define the navigation link whth the name according to the string you have put in the event handler in the search component e.g. SINGLESELECTION
    as source define the component usage for the search. as target define the component usage of header    -> this will handle the connection from search to the header.
    Hope this will help.
    Thanks,
    Vikash.

    XPath 2.0 specifications define a fn:format-date function but Oracle has not included yet in its XQuery implementation.
    Easiest way to go is A_Non's solution, but if you need to format at multiple places in the query, you can declare a local XQuery function.
    For example, to format to "DD/MM/YYYY" from the canonical xs:date format "YYYY-MM-DD" :
    {code}
    declare function local:format-date($d as xs:date) as xs:string
    let $s := xs:string($d)
    return concat(
    substring($s, 10, 2), "/",
    substring($s, 7, 2), "/",
    substring($s, 2, 4)
    {code}
    and an example of use :
    {code}
    SQL> CREATE TABLE test_xqdate AS SELECT sysdate dt FROM dual;
    Table created
    SQL> SELECT *
    2 FROM XMLTable(
    3 'declare function local:format-date($d as xs:date) as xs:string
    4 {
    5 let $s := xs:string($d)
    6 return concat(
    7 substring($s, 10, 2), "/",
    8 substring($s, 7, 2), "/",
    9 substring($s, 2, 4)
    10 )
    11 }; (: :)

    13 return element e {
    14 attribute xs_date_format { $i/text() },
    15 attribute local_format { local:format-date($i) }
    16 }'

    18 xs_date_format VARCHAR2(10) PATH '@xs_date_format',

  • Permission Denied Error when calling Matlab script from LabWindows/CVI

    Hello,
    I am reading in data from a DAQ and am writing it to a .csv file in LabWindows/CVI.  I am then sending this data to Matlab to be filtered.  I would like the filtered data to be accessed by LabWindows/CVI so that I can display it as a strip chart.  I have gotten everything to work except the writing to a file in a Matlab script that is called from LabWindows/CVI.  I am basically using the shipped example in found in the activex demo. (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/2994). I select the script that I want to run and each time it tries to open a file with write permissions I get a "Permission Denied" error.  This occurs when using fopen() in Matlab.  I have also tried using csvwrite() as well as dlmwrite().  Each one gives me a similar error.  The script currently does not try to do any data processing.  It just opens the file, if it is successful it then prints "hello" and then closes it.  The script works well when it is run in Matlab, just not when it is called in LabWindows/CVI.  Below is the script.  Any thoughts, comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.  I am also open to using other approaches for sending data between Matlab and LabWindows/CVI.  Thanks in advance!!
    fclose('all');
    [file, errmsg] = fopen('out.txt', 'w');
    if(file<0)
        disp(errmsg)
    else
        fprintf(file, 'hello');
        fclose('all');
    end;
    [file, errmsg] = fopen('out.txt', 'w');
    if(file<0)
    disp(errmsg)
    else
     fprintf(file, 'hello');
    fclose('all');
    end;

    I am using Windows 7.  I am running CVI as an administrator and was able to get rid of the "Permission Denied" error by going into the User Account Controls in windows and changing it to "Never Notify".  However, this did not fix the problem of Matlab not being able to write to a file when the script is run from CVI.  In the Matlab code below, It now gets in to the "else", suggesting that fopen() returns a good file handle.  After getting in to the else statement, it will not actually write to the file, nor does it create it.  However, I can make changes to the plot settings and those appear.  Everything is functional when run from Matlab but when run from CVI, things get screwy with opening the file for writing.  It handles the read well.  It seems like there would have to be some file permission errors but, in the CVI program, I open and write to the file "in.csv".  Any help is greatly appreciated.
    clear;
    fclose('all');
    t = zeros(1000);
    t = csvread('in.csv');
    for i=1:1000
        t(i) = t(i)*4;
    end;
    [file, errmsg] = fopen('out.txt', 'w');
    if(file<0)
        disp(errmsg)
    else
        fprintf(file, 'goodbye');
        for i=1:1000
            %t(i) = t(i)*3;
            fprintf(file, '%f,', t(i));
        end;
        fclose(file);
        plot(t/3, t);
        ylabel('t');
        xlabel('Time (s)');
        title('Is this really working?!?');
    end;

    Hi,
    It seems that you are having issue with Crystal reports .Net SDK's.
    Post your question in Crystal Reports .NET SDK forum.
    That forum is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there. Also, all .NET SDK queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.
    Thank you for your understanding,

  • Error when calling Stored Procedure from backing bean

    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6 and am trying to utilize the following URL to execute a SP from a backing bean: http://ramannanda.blogspot.com/2011/11/optimized-update-insert-adf.html
    The reason I am looking at this is currently I have coded my backing bean to perform inserts and deletes through the use of my View Objects. I am performing up to a combined 5-10K inserts and deletes and the performance is rather slow. If there is a way to tune the view objects as well as the commit to be much faster, that is the prefered method. If that can't be done then I would like to figure out the approach identified in the URL.
    I have highlighted a section of code below that is failing when using the URL approach. It errors out with the following exception: javax.el.ELException: oracle.jbo.JboException: java.sql.SQLException: Internal Error: Inconsistent catalog view

    " begin DBADMIN.SP_TEST(?,?); end;";
    OracleCallableStatement lOracleCallableStatement = null;
    lOracleCallableStatement =
    (OracleCallableStatement)lMyAppModuleAMImpl.getDBTransaction().createCallableStatement(lCallableProcedureStatement,
    0);
    lOracleCallableStatement.setARRAY(1, lTableArray);
    lOracleCallableStatement.setString(2,
    (String)ADFUtil.evaluateEL("#{sessionScope['UserName']}"));
    lOracleCallableStatement.executeUpdate();
    }

    That was helpful and now I can execute up to my last line of code: "lOracleCallableStatement.executeUpdate();"
    This code executes the SP.
    My SP is as follows:
    create or replace
    PROCEDURE          SP_TEST
    *( param1 IN TYP_TEST_TB,*
    param2 IN VARCHAR2) as
    CURSOR for_insert_csr IS
    SELECT *
    FROM TABLE(param1) T1;
    temp_update TYP_TEST_R;
    BEGIN
    FOR temp_update IN for_insert_csr
    LOOP
    -- do stuff in this loop
    END LOOP;
    end;
    When trying to execute the SP, I get the following error:

  • FDM Error When Trying To Login from the Web

    Hello,
    We are on FDM 11.1.2.1 and all of a sudden this problem popped up and we're not entirely sure how to fix. When users go to the FDM URL they get the following three error messages:
    1 of 3 Error: Primary Load Balance Server is unavailable -- attempting to use Backup Load Balance Server.
    2 of 3 Error: Error retrieving security agent header.
    Detail: InnerException1: Please run the Load Balance Config Manager and specify a username and password for DCOM.
    InnerException2: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {E652643D-6CC1-48AC-915D-01842B04F292} failed due to the following error: 80070005.
    3 of 3 Error: Please run the Load Balance Config Manager and specify a username and password for DCOM.
    Detail: InnerException1: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {E652643D-6CC1-48AC-915D-01842B04F292} failed due to the following error: 80070005.
    When logging in through the workbench we do not receive any error messages. Does anyone have any thoughts on what would cause this or how we can fix? Is it as simple as inputting the service account credentials again? Also, how do we prevent this from happening again in the future?
    Thank you,
    Jason

    Check the FDM Load Balance Server DCOM Object {E652643D-6CC1-48AC-915D-01842B04F292} Security Tab. Verify that the only user accounts listed is the FDM Service Account and the only Groups listed as Everyone and SYSTEM. If there are any other user accounts listed, remove them from the list. This should be performed for "Launch and Activation Permissions" and "Access Permissions", Do not adjust "Configuration permisions".
    Once you do this, re-set IIS by opening a command prompt and typing iisreset and hit enter. This will recycle the IIS Services.
    Re-launch FDM.

  • Run time error when calling Start() method from an Output counter user control in my class.

    I am new to DAQmx and .NET.
    In my application I need to activate a clock out on counter 2 (HW pci 16 E 4).
    I went through all the steps like the sampling examples but instead of Analog input
    I used counter output , and setup the pulse ratios.
    When I click the switch in the user interface ( a user control databinded to the clock output)
    the output works. Since I need to activate it programmatically I tried to call the daQmxUserControl11.Start()
    method but this causes the following error :
    An unhandled exception of type 'NationalInstruments.DAQmx.DaqException' occurred in nationalinstruments.daqmx.dll
    Additional information: Specified operation cannot be performed while the task is running.
    Task Name: DAQmxTask1
    Status Code: -200479
    Any ideas on what am I doing wrong?
    Thanks David

    Thanks a lot,
    I also discovered that dragging the user control onto my user interface doesn't allow alternate activation.
    ( I actually tried stopping and then starting but the result was the same )
    Calling the routines as indicated in the header comments also gave some hiccups ( I had to remark some code to get the system working progrtammatically.
    public void Start()
    #region Update UI
    this.switch1.Caption = "On";
    this.switch1.Value = true;
    #endregion
    daqmxTask.Start();
    public void Stop()
    #region Update UI
    this.switch1.Caption = "Off";
    this.switch1.Value = false;
    #endregion
    daqmxTask.Stop();
    #region Methods
