  • Error when copying songs from cd to hard drive

    When I switched from a windows computer to a mac, I copied all of my itunes songs on to a data cd. When I insert the cd into my mac and try to copy the songs onto my hard drive, I get an error saying "Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)". I am pretty sure that you can copy as many songs, to as many computers as you want, but you can only authorize five computer to play the songs. Why is this error popping up? and How can I copy my songs?
    Thank You, Margaret

    "Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)"
    This means the data on the disc is not correct (a bad burn). Try again.
    Do you have an iPod or a USB stick.flash drive? You can transfer files that way.
    I would not recommend burning them to an audio CD.
    The songs were originally converted to AAC, thereby losing data (quality).
    Wif you burn to an audio CD and then reimport as AAC, you will again lose data (quality).

  • "Download error" when getting songs from iTunes on iPod touch 2G

    Hi all. Recently I've been getting a "Download Error. Tap to retry" message when I'm downloading songs from iTunes on my iPod Touch. It doesn't always happen, but seems to happen most if I leave the Download screen before the song is done downloading and processing. Even though it says "Tap to retry", when I do that, it just errors again. This continues, with frequent pop-up prompts asking for my iTunes password, until I connect my Touch back to iTunes.
    I was curious if other people had the same problem and if there is a fix for this or if I just need to stay on the download screen until the song is done.
    I have a 32gig iPod Touch 2nd Gen with the latest OS.
    Thanks for any info.

    Basics from the manual are:
    Restart, reset, restore
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPod_touch_3.1_UserGuide.pdf

  • Cannot copy songs from library to ipod - says need to run updater but ipod

    Cannot copy songs from library to ipod- says the software is too old and updater needs to be rund. However, the updater has been run and says the ipod is up to date. I have already run the restore so the ipod is empty.

    The songs are "greyed out" because you have the iPod set to transfer songs automatically. That is also why the padlock icon appears at the bottom of iTunes next to the space used/available.
    So, transfer of any songs added (or removal of any songs deleted from iTunes) should take place automatically every time you connect the iPod to iTunes.

  • Trouble Copying Songs from Mac to iPod

    I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro.
    I copied my iTunes folder from my PowerBook to my MacBook Pro. All of my songs appear in the library.
    I have my iPod set up to manually manage my songs.
    When I copy songs from library to my iPod, they don't copy. I don't even get a warning message. I did the reset warnings on my iPod and still no message.
    If I go to my iMac computer, I can copy songs from iTunes to my iPod with no problem
    Why can't I copy songs from my new MacBook Pro to iTunes?
    I have reset my iPod, my sure I am running latest versions of the software etc.
    MacBook Pro, 2.1 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   2 GB Ram

    Shooting from the hip, I'd say try running a restore with the iPod connected to the new MacBook.
    Good luck.

  • Copying song from Library to Ipod

    I am getting and error message every time I try and copy songs to my Ipod. It reads;
    Attempting to copy the Disk Leslie IP failed. The disk could not read or written to.
    Help!!

    Take a look at this Apple KnowledgeBase article:
    "Disk cannot be read from or written to" when syncing iPod or "Firmware update failure" error when updating or restoring iPod
    Hope it helps. Good luck.

  • Cant copy songs from itunes to ipod

    I have a new computer and installed itunes and music.  However when I connect my ipod it shows up but I cannot transfer songs from itunes to it.  What is the cause of the problem and possible solution?
    Mike

    It's because your iPod can only be synced to one computer at a time unless you enable the Manually manage music and videos option from under your iPod's summary tab. However, this method of syncing is much different from having iTunes automatically sync content for you.
    So in order to sync your iPod with the new iTunes you'll need to copy the music from your iPod over to your new PC and then erase and sync it.  See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer on different ways to copy music from your iPod back to your PC.

  • Error when copying items from one table to another

    I am trying to copy data from 2 archive tables within an
    Access database to their twin production tables. The first table
    copies perfectly with the code:
    <CFQUERY NAME="moveArchAttach" datasource="faaco2">
    INSERT INTO tbl_Attachment ( PostID, Attachment, AttachNote,
    AttachName )
    SELECT tbl_Attachment_Archived.PostID,
    tbl_Attachment_Archived.Attachment,
    tbl_Attachment_Archived.AttachNote,
    tbl_Attachment_Archived.AttachName
    FROM tbl_Attachment_Archived
    </CFQUERY>
    However, when trying to use similar code on the other table:
    <CFQUERY NAME="moveArchPost" datasource="faaco2">
    INSERT INTO tbl_Posting ( Title, FirstName, LastName,
    PhoneNumber, RoutingSymbol, Email, IniDate, ComDate, SOLNBR,
    PhaseCode, ProcCode, Posting, Password, RegionCode )
    SELECT tbl_Posting_Archived.Title,
    tbl_Posting_Archived.FirstName, tbl_Posting_Archived.LastName,
    tbl_Posting_Archived.PhoneNumber,
    tbl_Posting_Archived.RoutingSymbol, tbl_Posting.Email,
    tbl_Posting.IniDate, tbl_Posting.ComDate, tbl_Posting.SOLNBR,
    tbl_Posting.PhaseCode, tbl_Posting.ProcCode, tbl_Posting.Posting,
    tbl_Posting.Password, tbl_Posting.RegionCode
    FROM tbl_Posting_Archived
    </CFQUERY>
    I receive the error:
    [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Too few parameters.
    Expected 9.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am at a loss and
    I've tried everything. Thank you.

    I realized my error immediately after posting this topic and
    subsequently have resolved this error. On 9 of the values, I have
    listed the wrong table in the SELECT statement. This is why one
    needs to take breaks instead of staring at a screen forever :).
    Thank you anyway!

  • Error when copying files from SSD to HD

    Build 9926 (clean install  not upgrade)
    When copying file (drag & drop) from either an SSD>> HD or HD>>SSD I get the below error.  This is definetly build specific and not hardware related.  I have re-installed 9926 from an MSDN ISO 3x with the same results.
    Both drives are local.  Both drives have been checked and are ok.
    Any ideas?

  • Cannot copy songs from itunes to ipod touch, although I've downloaded latest itunes version. Please help..

    I've downloaded latest version of itunes but still didn't allow me to drag the songs that I want to my ipod touch. Anybody could help?? Thanks!

    Hello Juminten Cinta,
    Since you are trying to manually add content to your iPod Touch, have you double checked to make sure the Manually manage music and videos option is ticked from under your iPod's Summary tab?
    If it's already ticked, what exactly happens when you try to drag the songs over to your iPod?

  • How do I copy songs from my iPhone to iTunes and how do I "refresh" my iTunes library?

    I had a HTC and switched over to iPhone, so I deleted the HTC Manager and all of it's contents, so it erased all of my music and now every song in iTunes has the little ! icon next to it and I cant get rid of them. Also, is there a way to copy the songs from my iPhone to my iTunes library? Thanks.

  • BSP Error when copying text from email to Note section of a transaction

    Hi All,
    We are using CRM2007 for both the Interaction Centre and Sales Web Client.
    When a user is creating a transaction in both roles, if one copies a piece of text from an email into the note section of a transaction at times the web client crashes and gives a BSP error.
    It seems that cetain symbols are not recognised and cannot be converted when they are copied into the note section. The symbols I have noticed this to occur on are the dash symbol and the apostrophe (') symbol.
    The symbols are fine when they are typed in directly, the issue only occurs if they are copied in.
    The web client cannot handle this exception and falls over as a result.
    However, if the text is copeid into the note section of a transaction in CRM online, any symbols it cannot convert correctly automatically convert to a hash (#) symbol.
    Has anyone come across this issue before? Or have an idea as to how it could be resolved?
    Even if it was possible for the webclient to convert any unknown symbols automatically into a hash (#) symbol like CRM Online so the web client would not fall over on save of a transaction.
    Your help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

    Hi Inderjeet.
    Thanks for the reply I guess we could not get the fiddler trace as we are getting this error while i am copying the data to excel file which is present on drive from SharePoint this is not on a browser. Correct me if I am wrong
    And Alternate access mappings and IIS bindings are perfect.
    Thanks,

  • Error when copying code from one file to another

    This bit of code works perfectly well in a test file with a single button:
    var link:URLRequest=new URLRequest("http://www.mywebsite.ca");
    buttonName.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, onClick);
    function onClick(event:MouseEvent):void{
    navigateToURL(link);
    ... but when I copy it into the file I'm working on, which has no other actionscripts or buttons, just a lot of animation I get this compiler error:
    Description: '{' expected  Source: function onClick()event:MouseEvent):void{
    Description: Unexpected '}' encountered   Source: {
    Any ideas?

    According to your error message, your onClick function declaration line closes the parenthesis twice... you may have a typo in what you actually put in the file versus what you think you put...
    function onClick()event:MouseEvent):void{

  • Xmodem I/O error when copy IOS from tftp server

    After I formatted the flash I am trying to copy the IOS from tftp server using "copy xmodem: flash:c3550-ipbasek9-mz.122-44.SE6.bin" command, in rommon mode. I am getting the I/O error message.
    I did try to boot from tftp using the "set BOOT tftp:c3550-ipbasek9-mz.122-44.SE6.bin" command and then "boot" command and I get an "error loading tftp:" and  "permission denied" message.
    The tftp server is active; I did copy the old IOS before.
    Here is the output from my switch:

    Begin the Xmodem or Xmodem-1k transfer now...
    CCCCCCCxmodem:: I/O error
    Help would be really apreciated.
    Thank you.
    Marius.

    I am using Hyperterminal and a regular serial cable. Right now I am working on a 2950 Cisco Switch
    At the switch: prompt, I typed:
    copy xmodem: flash:filename.bin    [ENTER]
    As soon as you see CCCCC   in the terminal window.....
    In Hyperterminal, from the tool bar, select Transfer -> Send File
    Browse to the file, select Xmodem from the dropdown menu and select SEND
    After the process has finished, type en and then boot flash:filename.bin
    This will boot the .bin in your flash directory. The previous post only boots the switch that one time until it turns off. It does not put the image in the flash directory.
    -->I dont know why it has to be done this way, but this was a bare to figure out. Nothing works like its suppose to though.
    -This process will take a long time.  Couldnt get a faster speed then 9600

  • Why does my 8gb iPod Touch say it is over capacity when transferring songs from my 4gb iPod?, Why does my 8gb iPod Touch say it is over capacity when transferring songs from my 4gb iPod?

    Okay So my little sister got a new 8Gb iPod Touch and it says that there is a little over 6Gb of space on it. I guess a little must be used up for formating or the operating system of the device. So that is normal I'd assume. Then she starts to sync her music library to the divice, all of the music that she had on her old 4Gb iPod.During the process it says that she is over capacity by .22Gb? How is that possible? How is it that her entire music library from Itunes and her CDs, a grand total of 700 songs, were able to fit on the 4Gb iPod but makes the 8Gb with 6Gb of usable space (said to be able to hold like 2,000 or more songs) over capacity?! could someone run me through a process to get all the music together so that we can get it set up right. I really have a feeling that somewhere we must have screwed up.
    Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

    This is really a guess but perhaps it's the factory-installed apps.
    You might want to try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
    Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
